I get 1kh/s with 1070 ti + 1080 both on 16x slots with i7 8700 . Problem is that when the miner is running i get one of my cards to boost up fan speed at 100% and noise is just ridiculus also think that fans will just blow out any moment,2nd card (the 1080 is running fine with default auto fan speed , dont know why the first card gets always 100% speed). I tried everything to set up fan speed accordingly but problem is I am trying to do it via SSH and I cannot do that. I can set only power limit / clocks .  Can anyone help with this situation ? How do you set fan speed through SSH ?

Hi,

The site is on a Chinese server and maybe there is some restriction on IP addresses from certain locations

I am able to access it, below are screenshots on the buttons you need to press to download the file. I can upload it somewhere  online if you still cannot open the site.

Hello guys, after other days of tests here are my results:

Today i upgraded the miner to the v2 , this version seems to use all resources in just one instance (so no need to run more than one),

Where do you find this v2?

Is anyone able to download this?  I can't seem to load the website.

Hello guys, after other days of tests here are my results:

Today i upgraded the miner to the v2 , this version seems to use all resources in just one instance (so no need to run more than one),

My initally setup was of 3x gtx 1060 and 1x gtx 1070, doing some tests i have seen that the 1070 was not working as expected so i removed it and i put a 1050 NON ti.

The hashrate was around 700 h/s to 1000 h/s with 3x 1060 and 1x 1050 (non-ti) and g4440 as cpu

I changed my g4440 to i5 6400 and hashrate is now stable on 1000 h/s:
The 1050 (non ti) is doing 230 h/s (i was like OMG)
First 1060 3 gb is doing around 320 h/s
Second 1060 3 gb is doing around 230 h/s
Third 1060 3 gb is doing around 200 h/s

I tried to mount the 1070 but global hashrate got compromised so i removed it again (maybe 1070 is not good atm with this miner), however in single test (only 1070 mounted), it was doing 355 h/s

I run other single tests (only 1 gpu connected), here are the results:

1050 (non ti) : 255 h/s
1060 3 gb : 340 h/s
1070 355 h/s

Hi, your 1050 non ti is 2GB or 4GB? Is memory capacity a big factor with this algorithm?

Hello, mine is a 2 gb one. Memory is not important in this algo.
You need a good cpu

Hello,

Still fucked as hell for me, 280H/s on 3 1080Ti, both CPU core at 100%, GPUs doing nothing.

Yeah, seems like this miner is optimized only for med-range gpu like 1050 and 1060, with the 1070 i do the same hash of 1060.
Btw you hash is really bad, maybe you don't have a good cpu

would be fun to compile a list of GPU hashrates w/ the system their on included.  If others want to submit date like gregory did above ^

4 x 1060 GPUs 700h/s  (To note: my hash rate is restricted by the CPU i5 2500s, I tried an i7 3770 yielded 330h/s for 1 GPU with 13% CPU usage)

The miner does not use the GPU's equally i have one 1060 6gb gpu at 60watts doing 230 h/s and another one at 55watts doing 151h/s

I don't understand. I change nothing and now, I had:

I think you are trying to exclude cards using -E option. It does not work if you try to exclude card 0 or 1. Just a bug.

Exactly! You're mastering this miner Smiley Thanks.

Any updates planned?

Does anyone have a translation of the uupool linked page about GPU mining and if the Google translation of the page is correct? I'm currently away from my PC right now and my Chinese isn't good enough to translate what's written in the page you linked. I'm trying to access the Google translate site on mobile but it redirects me to the app that isn't capable of translating the whole thing.

Otherwise, it's quite interesting that someone managed to crack the Bytom algo. I suspected it was minable by regular GPUs when I found the B3s were powered by Sophon chips, but now I guess we have a confirmation. I wonder if this'll have a large impact on existing B3 miners now- it shouldn't be too big of a deal considering the B3s should still mine much faster than any GPUs that are capable of mining Bytom.

If a 1060 and a 1050ti is hashing 265h/s and the b3 is hashing 780h/s then no its not faster than the gpus. It would be marginally more energy efficent though but not a whole lot. I'm gonna assume the 1060 is doing 60% of that 265h/s that puts the 1060 at about 160h/s. 780/160=4.9 1060s. 1060s seem to be reasonably energy efficient so without knowing anything at all lets assume 120w per card.. 600w total vs 376w.

The question I have is if these really are ASICs built for an algorithm thats supposedly built for ASICs.. why isn't it substantially more efficient like normal ASICs that were built for algos that weren't designed to be on ASICs? I feel like they're probably more powerful and they're redirecting the majority of the computational power of the device somewhere else but getting the miner to pay for the hardware an power they're siphoning off for personal profit.

Or maybe i'm just dumb Tongue

You would be happy to hear, that my 1060s (P106-100) only consume at maximum Load 80 w per peace. Normally they run at arount 65 to 75 depends on Algo.

So you mean 5gpus running two instances is the best choice in your case?
I read the whole thread and see that 1050ti is the best p/p vga for this bytom mining, right?
Correct 5gpus and 2 instances was best case scenario for me. 1050ti and 1060 3gb are the best as they are both cheap and as the miner is not optimised the big gpus don't have any hashrate advantage. I think with a professional miner, this problem will be solved.

Just the news I needed to start my day. Thanks.

B3 will go down in history as the ASIC killed by the smallest of gpus. Let's mine the hell out of this coin before Bitmain releases the real deal.

The B3 is not an asic.. hence why its not leagues more powerful than the gpus. It's a deep learning chip. And they can upgrade the firmware. The latest b3 firmware upgrades it from 750 h/s to 1000h/s.

I think a really well written software could blast the b3 away.. if you were cynical you could say this nvidia miner is purposely a non optimised no we released to get people intrested but not effect the bitmain sales. And when a good nvidia miner is released they will release the b3+
