As you said, where market logic is when the stock market is in crash, investors will switch to other investments. Where the investment can at least secure the value of their money. From what I know the type of stock investor is more interested in security than risk, so the gold market is more preferred.

The effects of the stock market there must be, whether it's good or bad. This depends on how the investor behaves.
its very rare to heard stock investors moved their money into cryptocurrency market.usually they choose portofolio that has same type with stock, maybe bond , commodity , metal or oil will be their choice when stock msrket crash.but if it happen ,it will give positive impact to crypto market.we hope in near future stock market investors wil consider crypto market as good place to invest their money.

Stock market investment and Crypto currency investment are different platform, process and commodities therefore it will not affect Bitcoin if ever stocks will crash. Except if the stock market investors will always look for alternative investments then it will benefit crypto because they could easily shift to Bitcoin increasing the users and investors of it.
Indeed! From the platform to market coins to market value are very different. I  dont think that it can affect bitcoin. Its been ages everytime stock market crash it doesnt affect bitcoin same as bitcoin when bitcoin pumps the stock market is still crash when bitcoin crash stock market are still at the same situation. Many traders in cryptocurrency are not into stock market they more believes in cryptocurrency.

This reminded me of how I started investing into crypto currencies and a good example of how a stock market can affect bitcoin and other alternatives. I used to live with my friends and relatives in a big villa. We were all into stock market. We were doing good before then. And then came late 2016 and our local stock market went heavy bearish for months. Dumps were huge as western investors withdrew due to our nation's new administration favoring the Chinese and Russian bloc. Me and my gang went for other investment alternatives like forex and real estate. Some of us discovered then low capitalized crypto market. And I was one of the lucky guys that became deeply entrenched with it.

I think bitcoin and stocks are two different investment tools. bitcoin is a cryptocurrrency whose price increases and decreases are affected by demand and supply. and these requests and offers can be influenced by news about bitcoin or FUD. while shares are securities that are traded by a company. Stocks are strongly influenced by the profits of the company invested. so when the stock market crashes I don't think it will impact the price of bitcoin.

I was thinking that investors would think the cryptocurrency market as an alternative to traditional investment products.
Having said that, my point was that those two markets have a reverse impact.

If the stock market goes down, then investors would start searching for alternative (more profitable) investments and turn to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
The last days stock market crash seems that lead the market cap of the crypto market down.

Does the Stock Market has impact over the Bitcoin price?
Yes, they have both alternatives. However, when a stock market dumps especially dow jones, in my own obserbations the cryptocurrency dumps as well. While in times when bitcoin pumps no matter what the state of stock market is it is still making its own way. To conclude and give my final thought they are correlated with each other when big crash occurs it depends in each market what is the current state of the trend.

of course not they are in two different fields, so if one of them goes down or rises, then the other one doesn't get any influence, that's why it's better to save money in many places, if you fail in one place, you can succeed elsewhere.
For some shares that are tied to bitcoin in my opinion will have an effect on the crypto market. it cannot be denied anymore that indeed the world economy and the policies of large countries like America and China can influence the condition of the cryptocurrency market. the country has quite an effect on the market and it has been proven

I know there is no crypto impact on the stock market. It may be that the stock market is bad as it is often a bad cryptocurrency.
The stock market is downright indeed the project was having problems and investors went from there. And choosing a cryptocurrency as a new investment alternative.

Iam a bit Confused, because I don't think they are related to each other , even stock market crash , it will make no effect to bitcoin and vice versa, except :
1. bitcoin has been registered on stock Market.
2. people from Stock Market move away to crypto Market

There is a effect but the effect is very minimal. Like what happened when the stock market in my economy crashed and it was 2017; it is also the beggining of the bearish market but the cryprocurrency market in the year 2017 was a bullish market.

yes , that because people move away from stock market , and for reminding, on that time , there a lot of money loundrying cases.

For me, ye, when the stock market crash, some investors will find new alternative investments. But before you invest, you conducted a study, analysis, and get some knowledge about the thing that you will spend. So if you are an investor that wants a safer path, bitcoin is not for you because bitcoin's price is very fluctuating, and it's precarious. Also, in trading/ market, the demand/ volume is essential to decide that the price rate will be. Smiley

It all depends on the institutional investors - many of whom borrow to invest in stocks.

Say you have a hedge fund that owns some bitcoins and has also borrowed to invest in stocks. The stock market tanks and the hedge fund experiences margin calls. They then sell anything liquid to meet those margin calls - and bitcoin is pretty liquid in that you can find a buyer in seconds. Of course that in turn tanks the bitcoin price.

Most correlations that you see between stocks, bonds, gold and bitcoin is down to forced selling due to margin calls in one sector impacting other sectors.

a very good solution because we all cannot predict and know the development of the cryptocurrency and its investments are many choices and are smart in taking advantage of every opportunity we will get in investing all our own choices and investments that determine and in my opinion a great risk will certainly get big profit too

There is no relationship between the Stock and the Cryptocurrency Market because the two have different flows of investment. have risks or constraints, respectively. what affects is the condition of the world economy which can disrupt all investment instruments including stocks. cryptocurrency or exchange between currencies. so for me stocks when going up or down don't have an effect on the survival of the cryptocurrency market

why not? invest foundations, investors, brokers, invest companies they all are thinking about profits.
be sure, that if they will find out that investments in crypto is more profitable and less risky then in stock market
this money flows are always in the move looking for more valuable place to be invested..

Stocks arent cash, they are for people with spare cash so I dont think for that reason people move away from stocks into Bitcoin.    In the spectrum of speculative assets, Bitcoin is more extreme then most stocks which means people move money from Bitcoin into a stock account on a fall.
Theres a regular tide of expansion of assets and contraction of assets and money moves in a regular way from the most speculative to what is viewed as completely solid which is something like gold.  I've never classed Bitcoin as near to gold but in this thread question, BTC is the more risk based asset of the two.

To try and explain what I mean, I'll post a source for this idea of liquidity and the variance in asset types view in where the economy is placed.   -

Fields don't matter. Money is money.

If stock market crashes hard or one fiat currency dies all of a sudden people will want to invest in something else. Bitcoin is very useful for those who want to hide their money or take it with them abroad. If a big crisis happens a lot of them will choose to buy bitcoin and run with it than carry cash. Banks will not be usueful because a big stock market crash will affect their solvency.

Does the Stock Market has impact over the Bitcoin price?

It depends on the reason on why it crashed but most investors would shift to an alternative option. Consider yourself as an investor who just experienced after a loss in the stock market, what would be your next move? Will you consider investing into cryptocurrencies (who have high-returns for high-risk) or another alternative present in the market (i.e. gold, bonds, real estate, etc.)?

If stock market investors invest instead in cryptocurrency market, then the mass adaptation of bitcoin will increase little by little, it might affect the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but not totally to the point where it can manipulate the cryptocurrency market.

In a way, the price of cryptocurrencies would be affected as a shift to an alternative investment (in this cases bitcoin) may be preferred- thus increasing the demand.
