Bitcoin can not waste energy and pollute the environment. When producing paper money, it also takes trees or wood, takes time to create the plant, exhausts the environment, and digs gold. mine ... Bitcoin just use the computer to dig how do affect the environment ?

Yes, because you can see that there are many projects related to the environment that offer very interesting and promising ideas. Therefore we will wait, I think there are pluses and will be.

. everyone who does the mining really pays the price. So this becomes an ethical question and not just about bitcoin, blockchain and mining, but also the general environmental attitude we have toward our planet

Bitcoin is good for the environment. The things that affects the environment is not the bitcoin itself but the tecnology that we used to generate bitcoin. Like mining and other power source that produced radiation.

It will be the good thing for the environment not just good but the best way for people who are in vices or in a drugs why don't you busy with other things like bitcoin unlike you've been in bad thing's that's why im good in bitcoin.

Yes, but not so much because of the electrical use (that is important but there is a worse thing).
The disaster is that it is reckoned as a store of “value” and that means that people invest in it and tie large amounts of resources and work APART from electricity to the not-quite-a-currency. It isn’t entirely at fault. It would not be attractive and probably would not exist if our nations and societies used a sane definition of money.
Currently you cannot find any economist who can even tell you the answer to “What is money anyway?”
Not in any real terms and the money we have represents debt and is controlled by banksters. So the attractions of Gold and Bitcoin and the rest.

A lot has been said about mining and about the electricity consumption of the activities related to bitcoin mining. However, I have thought of the alternatives and how other systems produce not just energy waste, but also plenty of useless work and "human waste".

To have a network that can ensure the completeness of transactions, the global accessibility and all the features that bitcoins, and many alts, have at the moment, would probable produce a huge carbon footprint. Just think of the VISA system or the banking system... the amount of people working on it, the waste of commuting to works, the infrastructure.

Thinking of all that, would you still say Bitcoin is bad for the environment?
There are lots of industries which consume high electricity and it seems that it could not be totally changed. Instead, solar power usage should be promoted. So bitcoin can create the same solar system to use electricity.

I think for bitcoin living environment there is no effect, even can to donate bitcoin instead the contribution of carbon problems may depend but I think it is more useful than bad

Actually there are many other electrical tools, which I think is the biggest contributor to the waste of electrical energy, but because bitcoin's one of the commodities hated mainly by the government and banking, it is no wonder if in the end bitcoin mining's said to be the activity that discharges the largest electrical energy.

Environmentally speaking I don't think BTC is the main reason but rather ELECTRICITY being the reason why environment is being reshaped, but it doesn't entirely means that BTC is the main reason around here, and economically speaking, BTC has actually uplifted some countries that are having problems in terms of their economic growth, and I don't think it strongly affects their environment, some countries have different causes of environmental breakdowns but I don't think that BTC has ever been the main reason of this.

It is the truth. Because Bitcoin only uses electric energy for survival and that is really good for the environment

In my own perspective, At first that I discovered or I learned manythings at bitcoin, even a percent chance, I didn't think that bitcoinis bad for environment. Though it is true that earning bitcoin through mining can use a lot of electricity even trading or simply buying because bitcoin can access through internet. But it is not too bad for environment since it doesn't release any chemical effect that can affect the environment.

I think your main concern refers to mining and the (excessive) electricity spent on it.
However, everyone doing mining actually pays the price. So this become an ethical question and concerns not only bitcoin, blockchain and mining, but also the general environmental attitude we have towards our planet.
So should we stop bitcoin mining because of the environment?
I think we have more serious environmental concerns to be worried about right now! And bitcoin mining is the last one in that list!

Can not the current banking system use more electricity than Bitcoin. Proof of work does not necessarily mean "wasted" electricity - important for security - but does not pretend electricity is not used. Miners are increasingly adopting alternative energy sources to exploit to limit the environmental impact of bitcoins. Like mining and other sources of energy generate radiation.

.bitcoin consumes less time in transactions and other different factors that will cause bitcoin to be more effective than banks. It does help for the environment if people use bitcoin in transactions where we just click is required

I think bitcoin only cost the electricity resources only, beside you need buy mining tools.
So, bitcoin is not harming the environment. For me, mining gold will cost more resources than bitcoin.
Our environment will be stay good although we are mining bitcoin.

But if people are going to use digital money, nobody needs to pay through that bill and a single scan in the qr code or click on a terminal will automatically send your payment. The only environmental effect that it brings is the carbon oxide produced by the power company that provides mobile phones to bitcoin users. It's not too late to offer a solution to our problems as long as they we act accordingly. I have heard that some platforms are also integrated into Blockchain Technology that is looking for ways to exploit it effectively and without harming our environment.

There are many benefits that BTC brings, but besides that there are many negatives that exist in BTC, in my opinion should not btc, open up to receive them and develop them.

It may also be because there is no paper Money .

Bitcoin uses energy for mining and if that energy comes from renewable energy or waste material energy then bitcoin would be best for the environment. Currently, the most efficient way to generate the highest hashes/kW are through the usage of solar energy and hydro-electric, because those are the cheapest ways to produce electricity (outside of government subsidized energy). So it is good for environment.

yes, the truth is that Bitcoin is a digital currency, we only need electricity to create Bitcoin. Therefore, It doesn't harm to our environment
