The buzz would be buzz for long because I barely doubt that Amazon will approach the bitcoin in anyway. The instability is getting spiked now a days and the rates are too high for the fees also. I mean to buy $5 worth of stuff we will have to pay $12 additional fees so that transaction can be made instantly. How do you think amazon would accept that slow stuff or mode of payment. This is where the visa companies come in place with 60,000 transaction per seconds capacity and bitcoin with only 10 transaction per seconds.

I think its not possible and amazon don't need bitcoin implication in anyway. They will see their own easiness not the complexity of working.  Tongue

Amazon's embrace of bitcoin is a positive signal. But it's not that Amazon can integrate bitcoin, it should be bitcoin to force Amazon to start to integrate. I think most of the shopping sites are in a few years.

Amazon here is a online shopping site wherein instant payment will be preferred. Bitcoins on the other hand takes a handful of 10 minutes to process a transaction and verify it. This can be the biggest hindrance in using btc as transaction platform.

No user, ir amazon itself would want, to wait for 10 minutes to get a payment done. Today there is instant payment over these sites where people buy things. Mere 10 minute can be a big difference and can cause hindrance in transactions.
If this speed of transaction is re tuned or fixed then certainly amazon would take up btc transactions because btc is getting quite popular and amazon can also utilise this fact to its advantage.

It is to complicated for Amazon to add bitcoin in their system because bitcoin is not already fully functional as a payment method. If you want to buy a 5$ product you also pay another 5$ fee for the transaction that needs to be confirmed. So you pay double that the original price.

Amazon has to keep the bitcoin until the buyer receives the product he ordered because bitcoin transactions are irreversible. This could take from a few days to a few months. The amount of bitcoin the seller receives will not modify ,but the price in dollars will change for sure. I think this is the biggest problem Amazon confronts with because you got to create a special program for bitcoin payments to work

It can, but will it, that's anybodies guess.. for now i'd say i doubt it, but in the near/mid term future possibly if they think they can profit by it.
I don’t really know, but I have heard lots of news about Amazon accepting bitcoin, and the last one was early October, people claimed they will accept Bitcoin mid October, but they didn’t. I think I have heard enough of that, it’s all being made up by some stupid enthusiasts. They won’t do anything that won’t favor their business, by the way, integrating Bitcoin won’t add or remove anything from their business. So if they prefer to use cash, we are okay with it.

And for those of you that are going crazy because of Amazon & Bitcoin, you better respect yourself, you’re grown-ups, there is nothing wrong with buying Amazon gift cards from bitcoin sites that offers such service, and if prefer to buy straight with bitcoin then go to Overstock.com, they’re all the same thing.
Amazon has faced many problems in adding bitcoin as a payment methods and will also face problems like transaction fees and other things. But they have a large number of expert developers who will find a solution to it no need to worry. Amazon will surely add bitcoin as its payment method one day and this will boost the popularity and also the value of bitcoin in future.

I am waiting for this movement when it will start accepting. They will try to make the fees minimum for them as their transaction rate will be too high then.

Yes they can, They have professional software engineer's that can handle the programming stuff's and it will be depending on the ceo if they will implement a bitcoin transaction in their website.
Yes, amazon has a great team of engineers and they can handle this type of stuff and also, they have understood the potential of bitcoin and the speed at which it is growing is also great. By looking at all this advantage amazon has taken interest in it and it will make it come true. the only problem now is the high transaction fee for the as people cannot  lose money.

The price of Amazon's stock market was quite high when it was gossip-paying with Bitcoin , and the price is now declining. No company can not ignore it. They may be afraid of BTC's legal features.

This is really har done to answer they are considering but this is something that it will be very hard to come, why one reason they can bu they wont like you mentioned amazon stocks went high when it was rumored to be accepting bitcoin, this is true they will integrate it only when stocks come to fall down in price.

Yes, and they will.

Just give them some time, they will catch up like the rest of them.
Maybe is time you all stop all this rubbish about Amazon accepting and not accepting Bitcoin and just let them do whatever pleases them. You don’t tell them what to do, they made it big without Bitcoin and will still achieve more without Bitcoin, so accepting Bitcoin won’t change anything or increase their customers or whatever. If you can’t afford to use your credit card and PayPal to buy from Amazon, then shut up and watch others buy.

You guys first said that Amazon would accept Bitcoin on October, but the never did, now you’ve started it again. Just shut up and let them accept it whenever they want. In fact, why are we all so worried about Amazon, while we have Overstock, wtf…
As per current situation it is quite impossible that Amazon would accept bitcoin. But the people are not worried about the fact . It's a rumour spread around and if somehow big companies like amazon accepts bitcoin that would be a big boost for bitcoin, that's why people are hoping and concerning about the fact.

amazon is the famous online market from america it? does this topic about: whether bitcoin can be a transaction tool in amazon? is it like that?
because that I know, in amazon it transactions using paypal.

Amazon never used Paypal and will surely never because they consider Paypal as a competitor (with their payment processor AmazonPay), otherwise Paypal would probably be added a long time since now. Amazon and Paypal are like cat and dog.

Also Amazon has an article before that they are planning to integrate Bitcoin to their system.
Any link to give us as a  source? Because I think it never happened otherwise the rumor would not be a rumor anymore since

I think with the user of Bitcoin and the market of Bitcoin yes amazon might integrate Bitcoin to their system. I am still waiting for them to integrate it until now because i want to buy or avail vps to them using Bitcoin, i don't want to always use my credit card to them i just want it anonymously. Also Amazon has an article before that they are planning to integrate Bitcoin to their system. I think we just need more time to wait for them.

Amazon is the largest e-commerce marketplace globally, and within a span of few years, it has quadrupled its market cap to $532 billion. It processes an unprecedented amount of orders and hence, the integration of payment technology or digital currency would require a prudent testing process and cautious implementation.

At this point, the demand for bitcoin is evidently increasing at an exponential rate, as the price of bitcoin recently surpassed the $7,000 mark for the first time in history. But, the scalability issues of bitcoin cannot be dismissed, since the size of the bitcoin mempool has increased back up to 50 million and the block size has remained above 1.04 MB in the past few days.

Currently, some of the most widely utilized bitcoin wallet platforms such as Blockchain and Coinbase are recommending transaction fees above $1. With SegWit-enabled wallets, the fees would likely be below $0.7, since as hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger stated, SegWit provides at least 35 percent reduction in transaction fees.

But, Amazon cannot expect general consumers or beginner bitcoin users to use SegWit-enabled wallet and enjoy lower fees, and in the short-term, the company may receive complaints in regards to high fees.

The recent buzz on the possibility that soon Amazon can be adopting Bitcoin as one of their medium of exchange or transactions is sending excitement all over. This can be a holy grail we are all waiting for. However, there are those who seriously look into the matter and concluded that there are still some big hurdles that have to be ironed out before Amazon would really start working for this dreamed adoption.

I am sure that all of us here are already familiar with that one big hindrance and we are also complaining about this since time immemorial. We keep on hoping that soon this thing can be given the right solution as paying a high transfer rate is actually not what Bitcoin is made for. Maybe Amazon is really just waiting for the right time to come and take Bitcoin but for now they must have concluded to temporary shelve the whole idea for reasons we already know.

There are numerous thread about this on the forum and many meetings have been held by the amazon executives to discuss about this but still they there are no positive signs from the company to accept it although they are showing signs to adopt it.It is the largest e-commerce website with customer base of millions and they have to take into consideration the negative aspects also before incellcating it into their platform because of its volatility and risk involved they might suffer loss. But in coming time they might accept crypto coins

As an online shopping store giants they should and can be implemented. If so this happens trust me they can double their customer and profit big time

Yes that how we think but they probably consider and the other side effect. If this comes as bad move (my personal opinion is that it wont be) they will have major loss, they have to consider this option to. But if they finally decide to do this think this will be major impact to both price and addoption for bitcoin and after this think that all over the world major resells will accept bitcoin permanently.

Seeing how Amazon is the worlds biggest company (or soon to be if not now) and Bitcoin is the worlds greatest crypto it is only fair that they get together and make it happen. I mean this revolution if happened would be

massive for bitcoin and amazon alike and may fuel the "buy a cup of coffee" mantra we keep hearing everywhere. I think it would go a long way to bridge the gap between cryptos and fiat as well as people in bitcoin versus

the people who always question bitcoin.

Since paypal is basically ebay owned and not accepted at amazon it does make sense they might incorporate a crypto as a way to attack paypal. Maybe they will launch amazon coin we will see.

Paypal and Ebay are two separate companies for a long time now. Amazon has never included Paypal because Amazon considers Paypal as a competitor directly and not directly. If you use Amazon you have noticed this company is not accepting any payment processor. They accept only Visa/Mastercard, gift cards, etc.
They have already Amazon Payment that they struggle to be adopted so I don't think they are ready to create their coin anytime soon.
If amazon will start its own coin that will not be so successful because people already have a emerging coin that gives a lot to the people and that’s the main reason bitcoin is accepted by the amazon and this will give amazon extension for surviving in the upcoming era and more to it this is an ease to the bitcoin use that they can shop from amazon without any worry and in future many other stores will accept btc.
When people have a developed and well progressed coin why they will go for the amazon coin and amazon will not gain so much from that coin so accept the things as they are they made a bold decision to accept bitcoin and many other stores are following them and in future they will also accept this coin as payment and I think amazon will not do any stupidity to introduce any other coin they are making good through it.
I think this conversation is out of track, no one have mentioned that there will be an 'Amazon Coin', the thread is about will Amazon adapt Bitcoin as their medium of payment? That's it, nothing about Amazon making their own coin and stuff.

I think they are not ignoring it, they're just waiting for the right time to accept it as means of payment. But by having this transaction issues, they seem can't comprehend the time they have to wait just to confirm that transaction, so lightning network will soon fix this problem.
