Corruption with bitcoin is even more easy. There is no refund option with bitcoin so we cant get our stolen money  back if we didnt get colaterral or If he is maybe from same coutry like as and we can proof that but it is really hard to proof it.Also bitcoin is anonymously so nobody cant track it so it is easy for use for mafia.
I don’t think corruption is easier with bitcoin since your transactions are very easy to track unlike what you can do with cash that is completely anonymous, so I think you are mistaken on that.

Yes. Look at Mark Karpeles and other big btc names. Jihan is screwing around with btc and causing drama. I think the big miners and all of them are corrupt. But we fortunately have a voice in that we can easily convert to another coin to get them to listen to us

I don't think we need them listening to us

They should just get removed and made irrelevant for good, that's the best what we can do. Anyone in their place would be doing essentially the same, it is not because Bitcoin is corrupt or corruptible, it is people themselves who are. And whoever takes their place will behave pretty much along the same lines. So unless the whole system is changed, we will be coming to the same outcome every time. In other words, if we can't change our inner Jihan, we should invent such a system where he will not be heard altogether. No more drama, no more bitching around

With bitcoin we can hide money unbeknownst to anyone, and I'm sure many a corrupter switched their money out of Panama banks to bitcoin, its impact is the price of the bitcoin continues to rise.

Let me make this clear. Bitcoin does not lead to corruption but rather it is the greed of people that will lead any kind of currency being used to corruption and bitcoin is not exemption. Greed is the cause of corruption and all currencies including bitcoins will be use for that purposes. As long as people are greedy and corrupt then all financial systems in the world is also tainted by corruption.

People have always been greedy by nature and it develops corruption, regardless of what currency they use, it may even be real estate.

We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
Well in mybown personal point of view corruption exist when money is involved definitely corruption may occur or may exist in bitcoin cause it involves money. However if the organizer or people who runs bitcoin has a strict policy against corruption then maybe just maybe it may avoid corruption.

It really depends on that particular person's intention and motive as will he use it in good or bad. It really is not just Bitcoin but it is also present in different forms that maybe the funds in a company or government.

Definitely it can lead to corruption because of it's decentralization, no one control bitcoin and people can use bitcoin to change their black money into white money. But it doesn't mean that bitcoin is wrong so in my people are wrong who do corruption and we should report them.

no. bitcoin doesn't lead to corruption but, bitcoin CAN BE used in illegal or corruption related activities because unlike banks that can return or cancel your transaction, in bitcoin when you send your bitcoins to another address there's no turning back. just like happened this week many people were forced to pay because their files were encryted or locked by a ransomware. for now they collected thousands of dollars and counting in just few days by tgis ransomware

Bitcoin make the corruption and related activities much easier than the transaction we make through fiat or other fiat system. Even now a major collapse is made by a team sending ransomware and demanding in terms of bitcoin to be on the secure side. Already they have collected 33000$ worth of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is popular among criminals because its irreversible and lets them use money without being tracked, in that sense it can lead to corruption. However it can also lead to accountability, you can follow where the money goes and demand explanations for where this money went.

In other words the openness of the blockchain over the long term I think will reduce/remove corruption, but as the system is now it promotes criminality including corruption rather than destroying it.

Wealth can very much lead to corruption. Provided that Bitcoin favors anonymity it is quite easy for people that are not ethical to slip into corrupted or at least non legal practices.
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
YES, why not its have a value same as money. The government will also used this in corruption because of the price and the uses of this cryto currency. It has an advatages compare to cash/credit card, not only on our country but around the world. This will be the reason why government use in corruption they will make a money from the society and use to invest in bitcoin because of big profit using a bitcoin.
Yes, it may be the sole reason why corrupted people may turn to bitcoin to hide their laundered or corrupted money. They will take full advantage of the features of bitcoin. The bitcoin's anonymity has its own good and bad effects depending on the purpose of using it. Maybe now, there is someone who is doing this, but let's just hope for the better that no one will ever do this.

There isn't anything lead it's already too late. Many people have already converted their black money to white through the use of bitcoin. By the time most of the government realised something like bitcoin existed it was just too late. It was a i think still is the main source of payments on darkweb.
Bitcoin is leading to corruption I agree, but how the block money is converted to white through this Bitcoin, i am not understood, because in my country no one will give bitcoins for a fiat currency that means for hand cash. If we buy coins from a bank account, it is white money. Only if we buy coins with the mode of hand cash, it is black money. Maybe in real casino's, it is possible, but I am not sure.
No actually there are many ways to convert black to white. I read a article recently there was banning of a few currency notes in India in order to fight corruption. What bitcoin exchanges did is they sold bitcoin at a really high price like 40% than the current rate. Not only that people deposited the money in temple bags and then they got 60% of it back or something like that

In a real life,  we are experienced in the corruption. It's happening everywhere.
So in a virtual world, it would be easier to run such type of activity. Some greedy people who are always and all the ways to make their money through corruption.
So bitcoin is not out of this.
But at least with them using bitcoin then their identity and transaction will be hidden? And that's because of the help of anonymity from bitcoin. ?

I think there is a possibility that Bitcoin can lead to a physical economic corruption which make a revolution the digital economy. Well, Bitcoin has done many things in this year and we all expect new things to happen Wink

In any system where there is a dependence on consensus among humans, there will be such a possibility, but in Bitcoin this would be very unlikely to happen, since miners would be harming themselves.
Bitcoin or other crypto can just help to corruption to spread, by my opinion. Today there is currencies and technologies where you can't see the money road. it's hidden where from it sent and where it taken. In today's world in many countries the judgement for corruption is very easy, I live in Russia and I can guarantee you that with those people the government doesn't use something serious, all that makes to corruption to bloom.
Tell me why the majority of cryptocurrency can be traced through blockchain explorer which provided by their own developers while the real money in which often used for currency can't and you're already thinking that these cryptocurrencies could spread the corruption? Which financial system that shows transparently to the public without the need of permission except the blockchain? there's none.
Probably people who said that bitcoin could get the corruption worse is those who know nothing, it's really clear that every transaction will be saved up in the blockchain forever, blockchain(in this case used by bitcoin) is actually more transparent than any existed financial system

In general, I stick to the same view

Bitcoin transactions which are written on the blockchain are there for good and everyone to see. So if some public figure gets "corrupted" via Bitcoin, then gets caught eventually, and that becomes widely known and wildly publicized, his grandchildren will likely damn and anathematize their grandpa for his involvement with Bitcoin since their friends and mates will certainly not miss a chance to poke a happy finger at the offending transaction

I could either watch it happen or be a part of it
If the politicians enters in the world of bitcoin, I think there is a chances that bitcoin can lead to corruption. Even there's a chance the corruption of bitcoin, it will never be happen anymore because developer would not want it to happen because they know that bitcoin corruption can lead the bitcoiners to quit using bitcoin.

The politicians are aware of bitcoins ongoing improvements in the market, were not quite sure on how will they react in the future ( well they are only puppets to a more dangerous society in the dark ). Cryptocurrencies are taking it's place in these new generation and as I see it even without the politics, Ponzi scheme and other scams are chronic nowadays. And if the government will be involve, then you might not be able to see what hit you.

No, it's a big "NO" , because I believe and I think that Bitcoin cannot corrupted by everyone. Due it was a digital currency that cannot use to any bad thing, because it was protected by private systems of Bitcoin company.

Well because of bitcoins system complexity, you can't use it in curruption by simple means. They are using the term cryptocurrencies and bitcoins to fool people not the actual transaction. What I mean is they are using it's name so people might bite because it is something new not knowing that there are many groups that take advantage of that ( especially when people have no actual understanding in the bitcoins network or basic knowledge about it ).

The chances is very big, bitcoin is anonymous so it could be used to hide the money. Maybe the price increase because many corruptor switch their money to bitcoin. Cheesy
Though bitcoin is anonymous but the really reasons for corruption is greed, selfishness and ignorance of what Kamal is. Corruption from what we know is not only in money or financial but also in politics, policy manipulation and and spirituality. Bitcoin will not lead to corruption instead rectified most of the issue we are having currently in iniquity in our society.
