I dont think it will lead to corruption because corruption is cause by the human, but I will certainly considered using bitcoin when I want to do such things, because bitcoin is anonymous and the value can be increase, so if I store my corrupted money in bitcoin form I can get more money

We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?

Here's a nice how-d'ye-do!

We have long been there already, just look at what is going on around Bitcoin mining nowadays (and all Bitcoin Core versus Bitcoin Unlimited battles raging across the forums). China is corrupted all through out, from upside down (and all the way up again). So what could you really expect from Chinese miners? Corruption is not about money in general or Bitcoin in particular, it is about people mostly, and Asians on the whole seem to be the most corrupted folks in the world today
Well anything that can lead to abuse of power can lead to corruption. Every kind of currency can entice anyone who can abuse it. Bitcoin perhaps can give more advantage on how they can cloak/hide hiw they transfer the money from one thing another undetected. If Bitcoin is being use for Laundering why can't it be in corruption?

Yes of course, you also said it yourself that money is the reason why corruption exists. Greed exists when people see that there is more than what is needed. Greed is the reason why there are many poor people.

Nah, actually not only money that can be corrupted, the same thing happen to gold and any precious things. Greed is nature of human and will always exist until human come to an end (extinct),
Talking about poor people, greed is one factor that make poverty exists, though, the laziness of struggling to get better living is the one main factor of why poverty is still exist, if we can resolve this, the poverty will seem to be decreased eventually, but, it's impossible to vanish the poverty.

We can't say that since if it were so, price would affect so much which will cause its rate to continue going down though its demand increases.

If you consider money laundering as corruption then I think bitcoins can lead to corruption. I'm general crypto currency is the best way to launder money that's why many governments are against it.
but to me i think corruption is something different from money laundering. i think not only bitcoin but almost every currency can be use for corruption, but we cannot blame bitcoin for that because the corrupt always try to find the easiest way for corruption.

Well, we see where is corruption than definitely corruption is depend on money, and as you said in this thread, Bitcoin is also name of money, than if bitcoin is use for bad thing like corruption, than it is not mistake of bitcoin, it is our mistake where we use bitcoin for corruption.
yes that is right and bitcoin is money, so it can lead corruption but i think we cannot blame bitcoin for that, as if bitcoin was not introduce they will then find other ways for corruption. but they are not going to stop corruption, as corruption is in their nature.

It's not bitcoins fault, corruption has been with mankind thousand of years and I don't think using bitcoin is an exception to that. As you have said, bitcoin is money, so if greed takes over from someone's mind, people are more willing to act dishonest in return of bitcoin for personal gain.

Yes, corruption will exist with any currency as long as there is demand and greed. Few can refuse from temptation.

Yes, Bitcoin is money and it can be used for almost everything. It can buy stuff, opinions, love... And using BTC for illegal activities is a kind of corruption also. The problem isn't to have corruption existing in the world, the problem is to don't have punishments for the thieves, criminous persons.

Corruption will always exist, we just need to make all of them pay for their crimes, using the local laws that depend from one to another country.

Why you and most of the blaming bitcoin and compare with illegal actives and terrorism. I am not been long time in the forum and I can understand that its completely politics over BTC.
If bitcoin arises and started using bitcoin as a legal money then every thing will be recorded in that concern bitcoin addresses and no one can corrupt once every transaction is been opened to all.

when someone really not bad intentions, whatever we tell them no matter how we avoid them, they will definitely find a way to make their idea done, just like in our government there are lots of law anti corruption but they still does,so what we should need to do is take extra security on our btw as well as to control ourselves not to be greedy and be always on the right path.

Do you believe that laws are been followed by the politicians and Government employees. In simple people welfare schemes also they are corrupting and giving tender to big whales. This is why they simply fear about bitcoin and its not be legal in most of the countries.

Yes.  If anything Bitcoin can lead to corruption much more quickly than fiat in its current form, because it makes some people huge profit which makes them corrupt and it's also much easier to control a significant amount of the network because of the reasonably low current price.  Jihan Wu has control over a huge amount of the total network hashrate despite not being one of the richest people in the world.  It may seem insignificant because banks control all of digital fiat, it means that he personally owns a huge amount of the new income in the network.

There can also be corruption from developers, which loads of people, rightly or wrongly, accuse of corruption in many instances.

Everything that gives you power to buy goods and services can learn to corruption. It doesn't matter if its fiat, gold, or any crypto, corruption is inherent in mankind, and will never disappear.
I think there could be a way for btc to prevent corruption if it wasn't pseudonymous. There could be a law which requires every important person to have only one wallet and make the adress public. In such a case everybody would be able to see how money comes or goes away from this wallet. Nevertheless, as it is not what btc is meant for and it is even not possible with bitcoin, it can surely be a part of corruption and perhaps work even better than fiat since no fake person is needed to preserve lots of money.

Bitcoin when converted to fiat can be used in corruption. Did you read the news regarding an Indian corrupt police who withdraw the bitcoin they got from the drug dealers they arrested?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/rogue-indian-drug-agent-caught-stealing-bitcoins/

He worked with the drug dealers he arrested so that they can got the bitcoins for them. So this leads me to believe that bitcoin can be used and lead to corruption in our society.
That what happened, with drug agent withdrawing the bitcoins that were owned by drug dealers is only an incident.
In my opinion, it should not lead to conclusion that bitcoin can corrupt everyone in the society.

I think that most of the precious thing may lead to bad things, because humans have desires, which they want to make true.
That is why all is up to particular person righteousness and character- if the unit is doing bad things for money, or would not hesitate to- bitcoin may easily lead to corruption.
But if someone is a regular hardworking citizen of some country, why would bitcoins make him corrupted? It is just a different form of money, instead of USD or any fiat, it is a cryptocurrency.
There have been other incidents though... If you look at the FBI investigation of the first Silk Road, you'll find that there was also a rogue agent there who enriched himself.
I'm not saying that it happens more often with Bitcoin, but it's definitely happening more often than you'd think!

Bitcoin as its individual identity doesn't involves corruption. Being an open-source traceable currency you can't expect corruption in its ecosystem. Until and unless if you consider paying high fees to miner to speed up confirmation process to be a bribe. Cheesy
Well coming to other side. The money value of Bitcoin remove every expectation of utopia. In case of Bitcoin too, human greed pops up leading to corruption as usual.
