We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
As what you have said corruption is everywhere there are many people could corrupt bitcoins because bitcoin is like a real money, so there are some people who are addicted or has a greed to money that may lead to corruption.

Corruption is nothing but people need some benefits for doing their work so if they can consider bitcoin as a money then surely people can use it as a real money. Bitcoins are not leading for corruption but corrupted people wants money by any means so they can accept all these things. But some countries bitcoins are still not so popular so people may not accept bitcoins in those places.

You just said it yourself. Because of money corruption can always happen as not all politicians are as nice as they are appear on some people or the

voters rather. In the end people will still prioritize themselves and their preferred persons over strangers. Yah it is easy to track their transactions using

the blockchain explorer but most people uses multiple addresses and is still generating so how can you know if that particular address is theirs? . After

that they can just buy a hardware wallet, store it in a box and just bury it somewhere.  The problem is hiding the exchange of your fiat to bitcoin.
Bitcoin is different to fiat. First bitcoin is not legal in term that the government doesn't have the power to manipulate transactions of the users and the community of bitcoin. Meaning to say there is no particular people who will doing the assessment in terms of managing crypto-currency. While fiat is we all know the tangible currency which need auditor and manipulation by the government. Corruption is starting to the ones who seek for power but I guess doesn't have the power yet because it is not widely spread all over the country yet. But for the near future it is not surprising that it can happened.

Bitcoin can't lead to corruption because it is decentralized and even the government can't control bitcoin so i don't think there is a possibility for bitcoin to be controlled by any person in the world so it is very clear to us that bitcoin will not lead to corruption and to be honest, bitcoin will be one of the solution for that problem (corruption).

You got it right, I don't know what corruption does OP means because just like what you have said, bitcoin is made decentralized that is why the Government can't touch it, and Government can't do anything about it even though they want to do something about it because deep inside, I know that they are insecure about it because bitcoin's value is bigger than the fiat.

And even though they want to steal this to us, they can't, because they don't have the power to do so.

I think it depends on How people and government will use bitcoin. Like here in my country corruption is really a problem,   When people or government  official uses bitcoin for  paying  and funding some bad deeds  like  Un-authorized fixer, stealing  money in some government project like road widening, agricultural project, military equipment's and vehicles, ghost projects. Likely because bitcoin is easy to use and cannot be trace. Corrupted people cannot be caught easily because of using bitcoin.

i see it as better tool for corruption, tahn fiat electronic payment, so maybe in the future yes, more cases of corruption could be possible in comaprison to know

this because bitcoin it's more hard to track if the one who corrupt, know how to hide his trace well, and it's also better than cash, because you can do it digitally with a wider range of targets

Corruption doesn't require anything to lead. Bitcoin due to its anonymity makes ease of the corruption process. Even without bitcoin most of the country governments and politicians are much corrupted. So when bitcoin serves better governments and politicians who know about it won't oppose it as it benefits them. This will serve as an added advantage for us the users.

with bitcoin prices now? bitcoin can make a person commit fraud and corruption in the company of their own, will be tempted wealth. I remembered the case Qtum, someone from team qtum had a scandal with one of the dev altcoin, which he embezzled 500 BTC in 2014, but the charges were not proven to be true, because the dev altcoin who accused someone team qtum does not provide information on txid with a 500 BTC ,

First of all what is corruption?

Quote
dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery
Bitcoin can be a tool for corruption. But corrupting it is impossible. They might do it with website wallets or they could just make a law that will specialized with bitcoin transactions. But that would take a lot of work.
Maybe it cant be done directly but they can able to put all the funds that have been corrupted to bitcoin which it can really be use as a tool on hiding your transaction or stolen money.Yes it cant be directly corrupted some bitcoin since we do all know theres no much thing that uses bitcoin as a major that can able to be collected.

Bitcoin is just like money . In corruption money ie cash is offered so instead of giving cash Bitcoin is transferred from one party to other on the given address . Well here internationally money can be easily transferred via Btc .

It can be really used to corruption since we do all know bitcoin is decentralized and difficult to track it out whose the owner of that wallet and lets say a particular government official decide to corrupt then decide to put all his money that he stolen to bitcoin then it would really do and hard to trace him up but still an official can be traced its transaction not on bitcoin world but on local fiat regulation itself.

Corruption can be found in every aspect of this society we live in, that has nothing with bitcoin or any other currency, in any case currencies are just instrumentality of corruption. We know that good can also be used for corruption, you can give someone a house, or gold, car, what ever and that is instrumentality for corruption on any level. Difference between corruption levels is just in value.
I think that social status, and big wishes of single person can lead to corruption, poor people can be corrupted more easily I guess, and people who wish a lot and don`t have it are more likely to accept dirty money and do some favor for that cause they wish more then they have.

I just have a feeling that this has not been yet discovered by the most corrupted governments... they are still doing the corruptions in the more traditional ways, because so far have not heard of much controversy or headline regarding this.
But yes, this will be one of the most powerful mediums of corruption.

bitcoin is almost the same as gold, bitcoin is created with a fixed value. it is not possible if bitcoin be corrupt, but the possibility also dev corrupt elements within themselves.
Bitcoin cannot be mentioned same as gold, in terms of pricing more or less equal right now. When we talk about the acceptance bitcoin is far away from gold. Only the technically aspirant users give importance to bitcoin than gold and profiting much out of it than profiting from gold.

Its possible I mean Bitcoin has the features that people want to undectected. It is close to something what corrupt people want an example of it is like an offshore bank in which you can send money without other people knowing that it even existed. With Bitcoin no one can commect you to a certain address not unless you are careless enough to provide them your information which means they can monitor you from now on.

Corruption of what? Bitcoin is only really used as the foundation for other block chain technologies, sot here is no risk of government corruption or the like... The smart contracts of the future from something like Ethereum are more likely to be used for corruption because they are more likely to have large organizations based on it.

Well, it is not bitcoin that leads to corruption in that case. It is people's greediness, which is innate and we cannot control.

People can use any currency to be corrupt. People use bank accounts, cash, gold, silver, wine, a whole range of things. Whatever they choose, it is their decision. It is not like the bitcoin community or satoshi suddenly just decides to promote bitcoin as a way to be corrupt.

But bitcoin is anonymous, making it easier for people to be corrupt over country borders. That would be true.
yep bitcoin is not the lead to corruption but the people probably due to lack of need or lack of morals so that do anything to get money, bitcoin or valuable items is a means not lead.

but every bitcoin transaction recorded in the ledger blockchain I think it could be used as evidence but the problem is the difficulty of finding the owner of bitcoin wallet.
