For me it is impossible to reach $ 50,000. After Bitcoin halving, we will see a sharp decline in the price and will not see the effects of halving only after several months and perhaps a year.
Excessive optimism about rallies to these levels will reinforce concerns about manipulation, especially as the price rally at $ 20,000 was due to a lot of manipulation and weak censorship.

With so many good altcoins around, do you think Bitcoin can cross $50k by Dec 2020?

Timing is tough to predict but that seems plausible. I'm roughly expecting a push towards the ATH in Q1 or Q2 next year. If that plays out as expected, then $50K by December (and probably much higher) is likely.

I don't think "good altcoins" will be the primary driver of demand though.

It is in history from 2012 and 2016 that  every Bitcoin halving event Bitcoin price jumped up months before the event itself.
So its normal to expect some bull run movement in the market before, on or after the Bitcoin Halving on May 2020.

It is normal to expect a rise in the price however it will be less than $50k in my opinion. Finishing 2020 with +$25k will be a very good achievement itself

Nope. that's too good to be true. I don't think the bitcoin price will reach $50,000 by December 2020 rather in the next 4-5 years due to a lack of mass adoption by the public. Hopefully, in 4-5 years we will see some adoptions from other regions of the world that would help boost the bitcoin price to $50,000.

I consider that reaching that figure in more than a year is a probable scenario, because there are favorable conditions for BTC and the Altcoins in general.

If predictions, speculations and wishful thinking are anything to go by, then Bitcoin should be sitting on $100k right now. December 2020 is a pretty long time from now, let's talk about the moment and how Bitcoin can actually go back to its ATH once again. These alts don't determine the movement of Bitcoin, if so, with the thousands of them we have already, Bitcoin should be way higher than it's now.

So many predictions thread that I got tired... . Just check the other ones as in my opinion bitcoin price is almost impossible to predict and 2020 will be no different even if the halv its on the way and normally a new bull run must begin but with bitcoin you never really know how it will be. Just buy more and hang tight , don't panic sell.

There are so many altcoins around but when it comes to dominance in the market and popularity among investors Bitcoin rules them all,
Dec 2020 is still 14 months to go, there's a lot of things that can happen and we are speaking about an industry with a very high volatility
anything and everything can happen, one thing I'm sure of is, Bitcoin will have a great year next year, one of this is the halving.

What are those good altcoins  Roll Eyes. I am searching for that answer for a long time and still i am yet to get a good result  Tongue. The price of bitcoin can reach those valuation in the future but to put a set date for the rally is hard, if i want the price to cross $50k by 2020 i would say no, i want to see a gradual rise in price rather than a huge rally in a short period and majority wants that rather than having a huge movement in both directions.

My expectations will be big after Bitcoin halving on May 2020. But I don't expect the price to reach 50k dollars until the end of 2020. I guess Bitcoin price will be between 25k-30k dollars the most in 2020.

The price of bitcoin cannot be ascertained by certain people, but many say that the rise of bitcoin starts in December, this is my prediction that bitcoin will not be possible to reach $ 50k that is too far for me to target bitcoin at the beginning of the year $ 15k but that is just a prediction cannot make sure and we wait for the right time.
