Of course. Bitcoin is designed with limited quantities and the first crypto coins available. The limited amount makes bitcoin a rare item whose price can continue to up.

Now that it's been proven there are many other alternatives to Bitcoin which have advantages such as quicker transactions, smaller fees, and higher mining profitability, I don't see a reason to think Bitcoin will get to $10,000.

Will the price of Bitcoin still go up? It seems so outdated when compared to its competitors.
Yes it still go up. Especially today because it become more popular to anyone. Although there is more other crypto currency but bitcoin is still the base of those currency. And also bitcoin is still rising its value from time to time altough it is volatile.
i am also sure that the price of bitcoin will continue increasing for a long time.

I don't agree with you guys. I think the price will keep going up but this will be due to only manipulative buy/sells. The technology of bitcoin is old and there are better coins available for faster transactions. I bet the price can't pass $10,000 within 5 years or so.

i don't know the truth but what i see is the price is still increase now although there is any down for a moment but the trend still going up and maybe it will like this until the end of this year. i hope in the next year, the price will going to go up more but to reach $10,000, we need a long time to go that price.

Definitely going up, not down.
The rally is not yet over because bitcoin is still talk of the town, good stories has been release by news and the scaling debate of community, these are the reasons why bitcoin will still going up. Yeah sure it will have some dips but it will just play in the range of $4000 and that's not bad at all. Soon we will see ATH of $5000 and its not too far too happen.

No one can successfully predict the market right now, anything could happen. Bitcoin can survive and grow exponentially, Bitcoin Cash can surpass it and then grow much higher...Altcoins would really just remain as an alternative and theres no chance that they can surpass bitcoin speaking of mass adoption
in fact it is difficult to predict about bitcoin but still we can hope that it will continue increasing. actually the interest of the people is still increasing which is also making bitcoin  more stronger and therefore we are expecting that we will get a good profit form bitcoin, which is in fact we are already taking.

In my opinion, I think bitcoin already proved that it has the potential to reach more than $10 000 by the end of this year. Since the beginning of this year, the value of bitcoin was always making its way up, reaching new all time highs, no other coin has achieved that. Early this year when the value of bitcoin was still around $900, I never thought that it would reach $4000 this quick, but it happened. Anything is possible within this industry.
Bitcoin has shown its potential to grow already. It will definitely touch 10k dollars, if not before New Year then within next year. Comparison of bitcoins with any other crypto currency is impossible. There is a huge difference between their capabilities. The price is changing in a positive way.

So far, the bitcoin cash expected to balance the current bitcoin price can not go as planned. Bitcoin prices are still relatively high and it seems that there is still a possibility to keep increasing

Balancing the price of bitcoin? How come it is balancing the price? It's even helping the price of bitcoin get higher, how? People are just using it to be a generating income source by trading and once the profit is generated, they will suddenly buy bitcoins that makes the price of bitcoin higher.

I think it is possible to grow up because now a days it is increasing incredibly. At the end of this year it can reach up to $5k and it will be reached on $10k very soon. But it can be down suddenly because any thing can be happened with crypto.
Ups and downs are a part of it. Market can go down anytime, but in current scenario right now bitcoin is growing up and up. And I keep telling people that it won’t take much long to hit 5k, it will barely take 2 months to reach 5k. And in next year it will easily hit 10k. And we should also keep the downing thoughts about bitcoin that it can also go down. So we must be ready for it.

yes, but no one can say if bitcoin can go up or not, btc is much volatile and one day it can go down $200, and one day it can pump to $4k, so no one can predict it.
by the way, i predict that bitcoin will come to $5k at the end of august. if it does not, it will reach that amount in the middle of september.

agreed, for now, still going up so everyone is thankful, and everyone is hopeful it will be up til 5k within the year,.

After a small research and reading posts of friends here i think yes there's a chance it can still rise.
Also there's a chance it will go down which is very low chance atm.

Yes there will be a rise in the value of bitcoin and the rise will be more than we expect because I don’t think so that there are alternatives to bitcoin. Bitcoin is the master other may copy but it will not affect bitcoin and bitcoin will lead the trend. The price of bitcoin will go beyond $10,000 and the rise of this will be at current pace.

Sure, majority of the members of this forum do share a similar hope that Bitcoin will keep rising from here and so I don't see why we should even debate whether other alternative coins could compare to Bitcoin.

The price of bitcoins will keep on moving up and up in coming months and years too as we can clearly see that the demand of bitcoin is going higher and its also becoming more popular and everyone is hoping to see the price between $8k to $10k in this year which is surely possible to achieve now.

It has all the possibility and potentiality to go up more. If you think btc is outdated then you should concern about the fact that still it is unknown to over 80% people in the world. It means it has a lots of space to grow. And btc is the base of all altcoin so there is no alt coin or any technology which will be outdated the Btc.

I fully agree with you that a very small proportion of people know about bitcoin and as with the passage of time more and more people will invest in bitcoin so demand will increase which will results rise in the price of bitcoin and this rise will be speedy as the information about bitcoin is reaching to the public very fast through electronic, print and social media.

If one whale decides to invest more into Bitcoin Cash than Bitcoin's whole market cap, does that mean Bitcoin Cash will replace Bitcoin as #1 for good?

You're delusional!
Market cap doesn't mean much in terms of price. When Bitcoin Cash came out it cloned Bitcoins market cap, so theoretically it could divide Bitcoin's price in two but it didn't. People decided it's not even worth 20% of Bitcoin.

Even if we follow your thinking Bitcoin's market cap is $67,991,537,790. No whales have that kind of money.

These two coins are unpredictable. And miners can choose any of them. We must respond in a timely manner to the news and buy that coin about which there is good news
Thanks to good news, bitcoin becomes more expensive
