Yeah, it is very likely once that blockchain can survive without bitcoin. Now it's been proven by the blockchain itself. Blockchain can already stand for basic platform ethereum and others. Meaning bitcoin is not something that is important for blockchain. This blockchain is a standalone technology that anyone can use anywhere without bitcoin. So if you do not have bitcoin then you can take advantage of blockchain technology through other platforms. But, if it is reversed whether bitcoin can survive without blockchain then the answer is no. Bitcoin can not survive without the underlying blockchain technology of bitcoin.

My answer is yes.. But the process of blockchain was invented and run by the use of bitcoin. There are so many crypto's out there to run the blockchain , so many platforms to have.. Blockchain can run without the bitcoin , and also run by the use of other crypto, because blockchain is a system not a currency

It is not only bitcoin that is using blockchain now. There are other altcoins like NEO , Ziggurats and Redax that is all running on Blockchain now. But bitcoin has a first-mover advantage, causing the market to move right along with it. As the market matures there may be a decoupling, and it's possible there will be a flippening in the next couple of years, whereby bitcoin is surpassed by a newer coin.
