Ofcourse! Bitcoin uses blockchain as an accoubting system, but the security of blockchain a lot of projects are using blockchain in different ways e.g. Other projects use it as a storage for a wide data, and those data needs ro be secured, through blockchain data will be safely stored.
I don't think any human can survive without air and the same applies to blockchain. Bitcoin, being the first cryptocurrency has helped sustain blockchain technology and many people are joining blockchain because bitcoin became popular. Although many other good projects have come into the crypto community, all these projects still need bitcoin to help sustain blockchain.
Long before bitcoin was introduced, the idea of blockchain existed. It just became popular with the rise of bitcoin. To make the story short, bitcoin is just an igniter for the rise of a new technology which has a wide range of uses for the financial industry, supply chain, government transparency, and many more. Blockchain will not be known without the creation of bitcoin. It will just remain as an idea and an unpopular and underrated technology. Bitcoin just made it possible for blockchain to be known. But today, with many coins existing in the crypto space, blockchain will never cease even with the fall of bitcoin.
In my view, of course it can, because blockchain technology can be applied to various businesses so without bitcoin, blockchain technology can also be successful. But if reversed, bitcoin will not survive without blockchain technology. Without blockchain, bitcoin is like a bicycle without a chain so it can not run......... 
Yes, it will. Bitcoin has surely played a pivotal role to get Blockchain going and putting it where it is today. But I firmly believe that even if Bitcoin fails in future, the blockchain technology will prevail. Hundreds of interesting applications being launched on Blockchain tech and some of them will get traction for sure. Blockchain is here to stay!
I agree! Although bitcoin is the first ever crypto and while blockchain are being talked all over the world. i think blockshain can survived there is a lot of other blockchain technology that can rise up like the bitcoin did. i think.
Blockchain will surely survive even if bitcoin dies.. The important role bitcoin played in the success blokchain is enjoying today is something we can not ignore.

Blockchain technology is modern and popular. Bitcoin is considered a trademark of blockchain. But without bitcoin, I think blockchain will still grow because there are many applications and altcoins using blockchain technology.

yes! blockchain can survive without bitcoin because blockchain has already acquire the traffic on the social media technologies and it has become an house hold name that does not need the help of blockchain to survive. they can also generate another crypto coin even with their name and people will still patronize their coin. just like the way they introduced Eth and now Eth has become second position in the hierarchy of the cryptocurrencies in the world.
Inspite of the alarming role bitcoin plays in the functionality of blockchain technology. I am of the strong view that blockchain can survive in the absence of bitcoin.
Reasons being that bitcoin is not the only feature contributing enormously to the functionality of blockchain.
Hence the absence of bitcoin will greatly open an opportunity for other coins to take it position and contribute equally to the survival of blockchain.
However, I am hopeful that, as technology advances, more innovative will emerge to supervise the usefulness of blockchain, because blockchain is not the end of the worlds technology innovation.
