Blockchain technology is the building block of bitcoin. Though bitcoin is just one of the many applications of blockchain and blockchain was made popular by bitcoin but it can surely without bitcoin. There are far too many applications of blockchain and with the projects coming up that use blockchain technology it surely will be the future of businesses.
I am sure that it can survive. All of us are aware of bitcoin problems. So there is Probability that bitcoin will not achieve its main goals. But blockchain is a new technology with many applications and it can be ignored and will change many things in future.
Yes, it will. Bitcoin has surely played a pivotal role to get Blockchain going and putting it where it is today. But I firmly believe that even if Bitcoin fails in future, the blockchain technology will prevail. Hundreds of interesting applications being launched on Blockchain tech and some of them will get traction for sure. Blockchain is here to stay! 
Blockchain is the best thing in the current 4.0 industry. Without bitcoin, the blockchain will grow very well, which is reflected in many industries that are using blockchain technology and production and management. The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
Although without bitcoin, blockchain technology has been successfully implemented into the world banking system. Not only that even some vehicle companies have adapted blockchain technology into the spare parts their own production for its status of authenticity.
Can it survive without bitcoin yes. Other than using a Cryptocurrency, the puzzle to have a decentralised blockchain is pretty much impossible. Due to a lack of incentive. So yes another coin could come along that is decentralised but will it ever be as secure as Bitcoin. The amount of hash power in bitcoin compared to the rest is vast. It would take an awful lot of work and resources to get close to the security of bitcoin so personally I can't see blockchain existing on a mass scale separate from bitcoin

Absolutely. Bitcoin needed blockchain to be as secure as it is. However Blockchain doesn't need Bitcoin to exist. Blockchain technology has been implemented into our society and we are just seeing the crest of the wave that is its use. Once it is experimented with on a mainstream level within our society we will truly see the power of the blockchain.

How can BTC fail? I guess you mean fail to become a mainstream payment system.
Blockchain tech can be used for more than payments. It can be used to vote, verify messages, in gambling to prove wins and losses, and much more... I believe that BTC will never "fail" as a store of value and it will always remain as a speculative asset, safe haven for your funds, or a collectible, but blockchain can go beyond this and be used as a development platform.

The Blockchain Techonology is revolutionizing and is still advancing because of the fact that it is hard to hack and security of informations is really high.
We all know that the blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions but virtually everything of value. So, blockchain will really survived even without btc. But on the other side, I don't believe that btc will be gone because it will be forever lead in the crypto. Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Blockchains technology has other features that can operate on it aside from bitcoin in as much as bitcoin has help the blockchains technology to gain popularity that has lead it users to discover other function of the blockchains.
