The gaming industry and the crypto industry can both be game changers for each other. Look, we know how rapidly the gaming industry has grown in the last few years and how rapidly it is growing. And not only me, but also the gaming industry faces the same problem with their digital asset selling problem. As we all know, the assets are in the game and people or players are purchasing them, but most of the time the bank causes problems with payment sending or receiving by claiming some unusual activity. That is the problem both PayPal and the gaming industry face in the banking sector, but if they approve crypto, they don't have to face any kind of payment issue. And they can do any amount and any number of transactions in a day. This is the benefit, and I think what attracts the most to the gaming industry, so we can say that both the gaming industry and crypto can revolutionize their lives together. This is my overall opinion. Thank you.

I think that the hype around crypto games will subside over time, as it will become commonplace for most. And in general, I am sure that the world of crypto games will change and will have other mechanics. Now we are only at the stage of early development of the industry.

As long as cryptocurrency lives, play to earn game will continue but the demand will not increase because people who played for crypto are definitely dissappointed with the amount they receive from the game. Like for example bling games that can pay a small amount of satoshi or ethereum. I had a friend who was trying hard to play that game and after a few months he only got less than $20 worth of crypto. Well, playing those games is also enjoyable and pastime.

but considering Play to Earn is now less in demand so could it be that they will be abandoned in the future?

Play2Earn concept is proven not profitable in the long run for both players and developers since there's no sustainability for this kind of gaming reward concept in the long run because players will be more focused on earning rather than spending and enjoying that will kill the essence of gaming industry. Until now there's no decent game being introduced in crypto unlike games that can be played on Xbox and PlayStation since game developer is not interested to venture on long term project with limited source of fund.

I'm not expecting that big time game developers will shift into crypto while they are earning huge amount of money by doing there usual routine that doesn't involve in crypto. I think P2E game is just a hype and nothing more long term will be expected since the success of this game depends on the consistent buying of the tokens in the market by players to be spend in the game. The main problem will arise if no one want to spend anymore.

Personally, I think that in the future it will be possible to play and still earn money. Since the crypto industry has provided people with great opportunities for development. With the advent of cryptocurrencies, many have changed jobs and are now fully and completely working in this field and benefiting people, knowing that the crypto industry is a big industry. which has long been ingrained in our lives.

In the past most people played games just to get rid of boredom or just to fill spare time when there was no important activity to do but after Cryptocurrency was adopted by the gaming industry then now it seems to have changed people's views of the gaming industry because now playing games is no longer just eliminating boredom because we can also earn while playing, last year Play to Earn experienced high hype which shows that many people are interested in following this type of game, but considering Play to Earn is now less in demand so could it be that they will be abandoned in the future?

playing games and earning is already very familiar among today's society, they don't want to spend their time just playing games without earning, therefore many gaming industries currently provide games that can generate profits for both of course combined with modern technology by applying crypto as  other alternative options

Everything has its era, but for Game Play to Earn I don't think it's dead, just because the market is unstable which makes it seem like it's silent. I am optimistic that in the future it will grow, especially if it is combined with the metaverse

Yes cryptocurrency can change the view of the game industry.  We can see how NFT and metaverse are integrated on the game and many game developer is adopting this kind of technology.  There are also big company that jump in the bandwagon of NFT and the play to earn concept.

Cryptocurrency had already changed the view of the game industry.  First the NFT, then the play to earn, and now the metaverse.  The game had been evolving with the new trend in technology.  So it shouldn't be a question anymore but rather we should be asking how deep would cryptocurrency drive the game industry in the future.

This is going to be a difficult one because in the end we are talking about gaming industry making money from people spending money so far, that has always been the case. The small games you play on your mobile phone where you buy gems or whatever to continue playing made billions that way, whereas we are talking about games having the responsibility to make you some money during this period which will be quite difficult to handle.

In the long run, it will turn to that eventually, but that change will not be easy and we will have both of them working together side by side, after a while we will definitely end up with a good result but it will not be this year or next year, it will take a few years at least.

I believe that blockchain games are the future of the gaming industry, as the size of the games market has exceeded billions of dollars as it is increasing day by day, and games are no longer considered just a way to waste time, but now can Players play for profit and earn cryptocurrencies and give players ownership of some assets within the game where they create value for them and can sell them to achieve a potential profit and take advantage of their time. This method has started gaining momentum recently to this day and one of the best games that everyone can earn crypto from it is Decentraland and Sandbox.

If you ever played a World of Warcraft or other MMORPG game that has a rare item and something like that, actually the concept of some people earning from the game they played is not new, and is not invented by crypto. The right question would be could crypto make the play to earn into mainstream, and I doubt it, it will still be a niche, and people would play game just for entertainment, the earning is just a bonus.

I am a PC gamer for many years now and therefore i am not only following the crypto trends and news but i am also pretty interesting in new and upcoming video games. I have to say that most gamers out there are not in favor of the possibility of NFT's or play2earn structures coming to their favorite games and i can totally understand that. Gamers are playing video games in order to have fun and to relax so if there is now a way to earn money inside a video game it just means that the games will be flooded with bots and people that are just trying to make money out of the game and not playing it for fun.
Also the games would probably be designed around that play2earn structure and not around being fun.

maybe friends, crypto makes transactions easier and anonymous which is good. I quite enjoy the game you mean. what games have you been playing so far? I hope games that are light to play will give good access, not just fighting games. a typical game with transactions in it. If possible, I would like to know what lay to earn games do you hold for superior?
but if it's from the crypto currency, I've never seen a company on the stretcher directly carry his name as a license. maybe it will happen

Yes. There are two reasons behind this.

I've played axie Infinity and Thetan Arena both of these were very dull games, after playing I realized that these are not play-to-earn. but bore to earn games.

Second, their economic models are not sustainable. They always need new players so that they come and buy tokens/nfts from old players and start playing the game.

But I wonder what happens when a large number of people lose interest in the game and if new players also stop coming, then who'll buy their tokens earned by old players.

Yes, I agree with the economic model are not sustainable. Maybe it was not designed to be a boring game, but sooner or later players will have to look something that excites them and this games have none. Also, as you mentioned, there might be a time that no new players are going to come in the space, so no one will buy the tokens and the game might die a natural dead because of framework. Axie now is one example of this, it is slowly losing the grip already as players are moving to new games.

I guess they can be considered just as fad and hype, and so when there is none right now especially that we are in a bear market, it wouldn't attract that much.

And it seems that the market has been saturated as well, every corner, you will hear lots of games being developed to be P2E and it created less to 0 demand right now.

Yes, but can "Gaming Industry" adopted to cryptocurrency?

As you know "Steam" are responding to avoided anykind of game who have "NFTs" + a long time ago they remove "BTC" from the payment process. IMO, the gaming industry developed still limited to crypto-currency circle.

We need to targeting non-crypto user, to gain more adoption. But, is not gonna easy because most regular gamer are not really want it.
https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/15/22729050/epic-game-store-open-to-blockchain-cryptocurrency-nft-games?
"Epic tells The Verge that it’s “open to games that support cryptocurrency or blockchain-based assets” on its game store, unlike its competitor Valve which has banned games that feature blockchain technology or NFTs from Steam. When we asked about allowing games that featured NFTs, Epic told us there’d be some limitations, but that it’s willing to work with “early developers” in the “new field.”"

Not all companies block games based on cryptocurrency or blockchain.
But the sad moment in games where there is a cryptocurrency is that players come there when there is an opportunity to earn money.

The demand for play to earn was still very high but the only problem is the price of token has been making people feel disappointed with it. The price goes even lower from day to the another day. They can;'t keep earning nothing from spending so many hours just to play the game. The fact that if so many times developers have been trying to did their best to fix it but their fault that makes the token being inflated without any limit.
This makes so many grinders are only thinking to play and then dump to the token for their quick bucks. The economic model can't sustain for long term.

The answer is yes, crypto can change the view of the game industry in the future! We can say it does it already, like most others here I changed my views, and that speaks for itself! It will take time and a lot of development, many games I tried are very simple, and I didn't find some play-to-earn game that will interest me to play a bit longer. In order to get into the gaming industry, crypto will need some better and more interesting games... simply people are ready to spend money to play some better games, and people are earning money playing LoL, DOT-a, CS, and other games... So crypto is young, it's getting into gaming slowly, but we definitely need something big that will make a breakthrough and attract the masses to play it!
