I do not think so. cryptocurrency only makes the use of fiat become more. well, many people are shifting jobs in the world of cryptocurrency to earn more money. in the end, they only use fiat. for now, it is still very difficult to use cryptocurrency freely.

I don’t think so, even though we used credit cards today we still hold cash and pay with cash. It also depends if the business accepts it, some still just accept cash, and everyone would need an internet connection. I believe in the future though in more developed countries it could be very widely used since we have the means to use it.

What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

it is possible but it will not be bitcoin alone, people need fiat currencies to be governed and shaped in their economic activities
Fiat would really still remain because people do really need it and come to think off that not all people are capable on making online transactions specially on poor ones which they dont even know on whats online banking or transactions.Crytocurrency would really be a good add up but wont really be able to make real money disappear because government wont really allow such thing to happen. Centralized stuffs would really still remain no matter what.

In the short-term (5-10 years) probably not.

In the next 100 years - probably.

As the human civilization advances, I think it is imperative to change our way of exchanging value to more efficient systems which are more equitable and includes every people in the world.
Cash is hard to use sometimes and creates a lot of delays. Hopefully, with cryptos, we can transition to a more efficient system and one that is not run by crooked bankers.

The chance is very, very small. In each country there should be a state currency. I can not even imagine what can take away the national currency.
A big economic crisis, there are countries that no longer print their own currency  and most of the time those economies use the US dollar as a replacement which is not that good of an idea because once the dollar begins to fail then their economies are going to fail as well, but they do not have too much of a choice since their governments have showed they cannot be trusted with the responsibility to print their own currency.

Well even with this example i don't think any serious country will consider bitcoin a substitute for its national currency no matter how bad their situation is. There are times when every economy experiences some bad drops and foreign currencies seem to be rising against its national currency but wth the right controls they are able to stabilize it and the same cannot be said of he volatile bitcoin.
As far as I know, it seems Zimbabwe will become the first country using Bitcoin to replace the primary currency in this country. Do you know the economy status of this country? If you know, you also understand this country is really needs to has a method can solve the current status.

In my opinion, cryptocurrency can not make real money, because it's real money that everyone uses. Only 1-3% of the world uses cryptocurrency to buy the items they need or want. Real money is used 99% in this world even you. You need real money to buy something and more. But even your own bitcoin you still need real money, because not every store, company and even people receive bitcoin as payment.
Maybe you have the point, the current situation of monetary transfer cannot make the real money disappear. But the worlds is moving into that direction even without cryptocurrency i believe that real money can be replace by an electronics money, try to think how many people are now using electronics money in purchasing goods, services and other transaction by the means of credit card, debit card and all other electronics card through internet network, and the rise of virtual money or the cryptocurrency will speed up the process of making real money disappear in the near future that world will be fully interconnected by an electronics transaction.

You know this topic has been discussed in this forum over and over again and i will be answering this question over and over again.

No. Cryptocurrencies can't make noney or fiat disappear why? Because the government can't let that can except the governments endorsed it and also, fiat can be used without the use of internet.

Agree. I've seen a couple of the same topic since I've registered here and the answers are always the same. We have the same opinion regarding the matter and for me cryptocurrencies can't really place fiat money, not now and not ever and that's because the government won't allow it. We've been using our local currencies for centuries now and changing it will REALLY make a HUGE difference and impact to the whole world.

In one form or another, he will replace. But we must understand that the crypto-currencies in the form in which they are represented now is more analogous to gold than money. They are: labor-producing, they are finite.

As I said, bitkoyn is an analog of gold. Gold was originally mined for jewelry, and then decided to use it for exchange, and then they came up with money. That is, gold of practical benefit for mankind, except as a means of exchange, almost does not bear (using it as a conductor is a fraction of a percent of its use as an investment object). Trust in bitcoin is now based on trust in the cryptographic algorithms on which it is based (which is much better than trust in the bank). In this way, bitcoin or analogue based on it, is the most likely candidate to eventually replace the cash as means of payment. However, for this he needs to possess all the principal possibilities of paper money, which he has now, objectively speaking, not yet.

It can take the place of the real money we earn today but it is not possible in short terms. Maybe many years later employers will pay us with cryptocurrencies.

Personally, I believe in such a promising future, but generally it's very early to think about it, it's unlikely we'll see this.
But here about taxes..The fact is that the states in which the able-bodied citizens live, do not like it when these citizens start to move away from taxes using offshore zones. States are beginning to exert pressure on offshore, which is increasing every year. For this reason, offshore companies may lose their attractiveness for large and medium-sized businesses. Professor of law Omri Marian from the University of California at Irvine believes that the replacement of offshore can become the Bitcoin crypto currency. In his view, the crypto currency can be called a "super-safe from taxes."

Well, this Professor doesn't seem to be very clued in on what Bitcoin is or how it works. Firstly, if you wanted to hide all your current fiat and assets into Bitcoin, you'd still have to buy the coins. There's that immutable, permanent, public trail you leave behind. If you only had a plan to earn strictly in Bitcoin, or mine them, then fine. Problem solved right? Except, wait, when you want to cash out to fiat. Another trail that leads to you.

You can mix, churn, anonymise all you want, but if someone wanted badly enough to find you, it's not impossible.

Besides, tax is a social obligation I believe we all should fulfil.

In the future we will pay the costs in smart ways, maybe cash will disappear altcoin replaced it is possible.
I don't think that the cash will be going to be replaced by the altcoins because they are not doesn't have a fixed value so it is risky for the people to use it everyday because they can't stick with the fixed value that will become a basis in pricing for the items in stores. Altcoins are also not safe to become the main money in our world because it will attract hackers and a lot of people might lose a lot of money because of the lack of knowledge in securing their wallet.
Cryptocurrency is one of the dangerous things, it not useful for normal user and those who people do not have knowledge about the digital. Even, my parents are people have knowledge about digital and know how to use PC, but they can not use Bitcoin because the operating principle and how to store it is too hard for them, unlike FIAT or Gold.
That’s a sad fact. There are so many people who even don’t know how to operate computers and are unawed of internet as well. For such people paper money is the sole method of dealing in market for buying and selling goods.

Crypto currencies can fully replace paper money in the developed countries or the one which are powerhouses of technology such as Japan, USA, and Korea etc.

Cryptomooniac - to the moon and beyond...
It may, but we won't see it. Will take probably centuries. Shared economy will revolutionize the world indeed. The governments will fight back because they want to have control of the monetary system and policies, but paradigms will be shifted in my opinion.
