It will be able to do it in the future, but certainly not today.
It's true, not for today and it takes time before we all see that crypto's will replace fiat money. The government does need to take a long debate just to pass a law and replace fiat with crypto's. But for us as a community, we can already do it without their permission.
I think that at the moment we have technological barrier that dont let us do it. Also, crypto is too volatile, we need stablecoins
Stablecoins? we have plenty of it, I think what you are telling is about a digitalized fiat.

The wonders of the blockchain technology
November 23, 2018, 03:58:09 AM
I just read an update from few months ago where the Chinese government is making steps to provide cryptocurrencies (digital currency)  that will serve as the normal currency. I think that is a bold step towards adiption of Cryptocurrency, bringing the argument forward that cryptos can really replace fiat

Of course, cryptocurrencies are capable of surpassing conventional money. I am sure that we will see progress very soon and will see how things are changing rapidly

MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash
November 23, 2018, 02:41:33 AM
For the time being, I am not even considering the possibility of replacing cash with cards, since retail and spontaneous trade lives in every country, which has no terminals for payment. We need to solve this first, and then think about the crypt.

I am sure that sooner or later cryptocurrencies will completely surpass Fiat. But in order to get rid of this usual method of payment for goods and services should take a long time

Although this is possible, it is limited to a few smaller countries, and because of the risk of cryptocurrencies, banks are hard to adopt!

Cryptocurrency will not be able to replace fiat money, because in its current usage, cryptocurrency is very dependent on the existence of internet networks. And not everyone understands about the use of cryptocurrency and is able to access it through the internet network, for that reason, cryptocurrency will not be able to replace the fiat currency at any time.

The withdrawal of paper money from the state financial turnover is only stopped by the fact that not all commercial establishments have a stable Internet. As soon as the Internet is ideally available to everyone - paper money we will see only in the museum.

Crypto can never fully replace the money. in just a few aspects only crypto could actually be functioned properly and was not thoroughly globally. coupled with the still large number of developing countries that could not necessarily have facilities for crypto, then they will continue using fiat as a transaction.

If we will finally see the working products from the ICOs than yes. Crypto has so much potential but the industry is not moving on! We need more great products that would be easy and ready to use for payments in our daily lives.

No I think not, but it could happen, but this to happen that value should be very much stagnate like dollars but since dollar is so strong, until USA falls we won't have a chance of getting a cryptocurrency value that is for non-stop use, and even if it happens to happen that, the price would be going up and down very violently I presume, at least at the beggining... I think it would be very much hard to do so, at least for now.

I think that first of all cryptocurrencies are useful for making uncontrollable transactions and saving your money. It is not for everyday use. So maybe, it is only for now. We will see maybe something will be changed.

Only in theory, bitcoin can replace money, but in practice I can't imagine how it will look. Too complicated, simply due to the fact that the rate is always changed to larger values, and this means prices and wages will have to recalculate every day.

it's a very far-reaching dream to make it happen, to make fiat money needs support from many parties, especially the government, and that's a pretty difficult thing to realize

to replace Fiat's currency it seems impossible, but digital currencies can be collaborated with payments, meaning digital currencies can be paid at a company or in a shopping place. in my opinion like that.

This is an interesting questions which I think would be more relevant in the future as in my opinion the crypto market is not doing as well as it could be, and I fear that there may be some time before we start to see market improvements.
