In future, can cryptocurrency replace fiat money? This seems to be most interesting phenomenon to discuss today.
I do not foresee in the next hundred years that you can very well tell that fiat currency will be replaced by cryptocurrency. It is a new finacial system but it will not replace any national currency but it can be used in international trades and that is the biggest advantage as it gives you the freedom to conduct business without boundaries and the hurdle to exchange different currencies and their transaction charges.

cryptocurrency will replace FIAT in the future.
But not soon, cryptocurrency needs more improvement before becoming the main currency of the world.
But there is no doubt that in the future every country will have their own crypto.

Replacing fiat isn't the objective of Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency but to work side by side with it. It would be too ambitious to say it will replace the fiat, they would have to abolish government in that case. Even paypal didn't wish that to happen. There is the need for governance whcih the reason for centralization of the fiat otherwise there won't be a council to fix and declare the value of products.

Just think about everything else besides money... isn't it changing and becoming different and digital? our TV? our phone? our computer? etc....
I can't believe that so many people are in the crypto world and don't believe that crypto can replace fiat money... crypto is money! and money is also evolving from paper printed bills to digital numbers... crypto will be the only safe long term solution for money...
And general people, that will have trouble with it.... these people will use what the TV tells them to use...
(not long ago, humans used salt as money... don't you think it was also hard to change to gold?)

"In future, can cryptocurrency replace fiat money?" is really a good question. This phenomenon seems to be most interesting to discuss today.
In my opinion, it is not impossible for crypto money to replace fiat money. Why would it be impossible? 30 years ago, nobody used a credit card. Now there's everybody. And the money that just returned in the market is just numbers. The use of paper money is decreasing day by day.

I think it's difficult to replace fiat money as this is our traditional method that being recognize by the government and this is also represents the economy of every country. This crypto is new and since this is not yet recognize by the majority or all country this is still not to consider as our future currency. Although crypto has potential but its premature decide for this matter.

I think it is possible for cryptocurrency can replace fiat in the future. We are moving to the cashless world and cryptocurrency now is the best candidate to replace fiat role.
It is not possible for you, I think in other direction, if using electronic money, some components do not use technology or computer they can not exchange or electronic money transactions, and especially security, hard to use electronic money replacement fiat

This has been a very common question. My answer is still yes, although the fullness of this replacement will definitely take a lot of time. Perhaps we will be counting a few decades before finally seeing the world using cryptocurrency primarily.

it will really depends on the flow of the government if they will be the one to support the cashless society and ofcourse it will really take time before it will happen many people has been in the fiat society specially those old one it will be hard for them to adapt it in the future.

Until it can function without permanent network connectivity then the answer would be NO, there are times when there is no network connection or no electricity which renders transactions as impossible as things currently stand.
In my opinion, not at all, because the electronic money is fluctuating, the second is the penny that we can hardly use everyday because some of them are not technically savvy and they do not dare to hold the electricity bill. many deaths. Hacker risk and price fluctuation risk

Cryptos don't need to replace fiat. They can co-exist side by side. And let us, the users/consumers decide which is more important.

Certain utility tokens has inherent value, esp those tied to financial securities, assets or trading markets.

Take a look at LVX tokens and how it has it's own inherent value, https://level01.io/2018/08/26/the-future-chooses-lvx-universal-asset-currency-that-will-catapult-derivatives-trading-into-a-profitable-reality/

Cryptocurrency will only replace part of the daily transaction. They can not completely replace cash. Everyday life needs cash because there are times when crypto can not be paid.

Of course it will replace fiat money, look at the wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_money

Quote
Fiat money is a currency without intrinsic value that has been established as money, often by government regulation. Fiat money does not have use value, and has value only because a government maintains its value, or because parties engaging in exchange agree on its value.[1] It was introduced as an alternative to commodity money and representative money. Commodity money is created from a good, often a precious metal such as gold or silver, which has uses other than as a medium of exchange (such a good is called a commodity). Representative money is similar to fiat money, but it represents a claim on a commodity (which can be redeemed to a greater or lesser extent).

I have seen people using credit cards, using the phone, using debit cards ... to pay. This means that paper money is no longer the dominant player in financial markets. Electronic money with outstanding features in payment, it is also used as an asset to hold and exchange to make a profit ... But it still exists some issues such as: Not yet common, or fluctuating, insecure and fraudulent ... So now, electronic money can not replace the paper money. I hope, in the future, things will change.
