off course yes gambling give me remarkable lesson in life, even my last money in the pocket i sacrifice for hoping get the winning bet to assume my money back again for the last chance, i go home with nothing thats expierence i can't do it again, i tel myself i need to set limitation if i'm playing again in gambling.
OP, it's never necessary that the lessons gambling losses give you will be undertaken by you in order to stop doing such activity.
Not just few but many people take it wrongly and get addicted more towards gambling once their losing streak starts.
Gambling teaches us the following things:

In my opinion, that's true because every action that we have is our own responsibility, only ours, so don't blame anybody else on it because it would just make you a stubborn and arrogant person and shouldn't be the one to say that he or she is correct.

It actually depends on your perspective of taking in lessons. For me, in the small amount of time that I did try gambling, I really learnt when to stop and it also taught me how to not be greedy, greed makes you lose a lot when it comes to gambling, best to try your luck at gambling with a very small amount, and if you profit, just bag it and leave.

This is my attitude before I'm not in gambling, I have a very calm mind and I'm not hot headed. But when I started to gamble when I was still young everything was changed. And the lessons that gambling taught me was to be contented on what I have. Like when I won quite good at 0.005 BTC with dice and it's a streak but I wasn't contented by that time and suddenly I lost all of it because of my greediness.

the only lesson I get is that I am given an ability to perform and act more calmly. for me a decision in a gambling game is a very important thing. if I can not calm down maybe I've been addicted, until now I can still avoid addiction because of the calm and patient nature that I have learned from the beginning of playing gambling.

Financial problems is the main reason why most of the gamblers always end into nothing. They never stop playing due to they wanted to win in the games but they didn't noticed they're losses of money was getting increase only.
