Of course social news greatly affect the market. News can change someone's opinion over something. It also influences people to believe something about certain topic they are reporting. News can brainwash people to instead of believing and showing that cryptos are helpful to people turn/make it to be useless and some kind of scam and bubble which can pop and die anytime which is not true.
