I believe he is talking about Meta Maska or MEW or some other wallet interface. I found a tutorial here about how to hide the tokens you don't want to see anymore. https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/pull/4482
Thanks you so much. To share such content with us. I didn't even know it. Metamask or myethwallet has a lot of coin / token that will never work. There are many dead projects that have gone through scams. Tokens like this are really annoying. There is currently a lot of fee to transfer from myethwallet. So it is best to keep it hidden.

could have been sent to the burn address 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD
but it costs money to do it, it's better to leave it in your wallet than to burn it.

Guys, that's not a problem. At a minimum, you can just ignore these coins,
Yes, it's better to ignore shitcoins that are in your wallet, it won't affect anything, in some cases shitcoins suddenly have a price, so it's better to keep them than throw them away.
if it bothers you better send it to a special wallet that you provide for shitcoins, but make sure you still keep your wallet private key, this is just in case one of these coins suddenly becomes valuable.

Guys, that's not a problem. At a minimum, you can just ignore these coins, but if they really annoy you, you can have a separate wallet and transfer everything more or less worthwhile there. After all, we do not know, maybe the garbage project will one day resurrect and bring a good income Wink
You know that Ethereum transaction costs, I don't why are you giving advice to send tokens instead of creating a new wallet. We received some shit coins in our old wallet for no reason. Op shouldn't forget the private key. In the future, this wallet could be valuable. Like kick tokens types of airdrop OP will receive.

Even I have many shitcoins in my wallet, I don't want to delete them since I got them in my bounty campaigns. Even they are worthless, I want to keep them all. I think you cannot delete the tokens in your wallet but you can send it to other addresses. Because if you delete or remove the tokens, it may affect the circulation supply of the tokens you hold. If I were you, I will stock it in my wallet forever even they are useless.

Lol, yeah sure you can do that, but don't forget you'll need to pay for gas fees for the transaction ,so why bother wasting your gas fess on those dead tokens, you didn't specify the wallet you are using, and it's kinda of different for different wallets, but there's definitely a way to delete all those dead ERC20 tokens,I had a few on my wallet back then, I got tired of seeing them not adding anything to my portfolio Cheesy, so I cleared them off, if you asked how to do it in trust wallet I could have helped you out.

Indeed! you can by sending them to unknown addresses however as should be obvious, this technique expects you to pay some transaction fees. this is the main strategy that works. In any case, keeping them in your wallet would be a good thought cause consider the possibility that their developers will proceed with the project 5-10 years at this point. that would make the price of their dead token pump and imagine a scenario where their price became like the other top altcoins in the market. furthermore, you have a colossal measure of it. that would make you a mogul quickly. In the event that you are irritated by taking a gander at the gigantic list of poop coins in your wallet, better to make another one and safeguarded that old wallet possibly you can simply open it once at regular intervals to check

You can't permanently delete tokens from your wallet, you can either send them away to an unknown address or open another wallet to store the shitcoins, honestly if I were you I'd just ignore the useless tokens, if Future the unexpected can happen with those worthless tokens

would you rather spend money just to move coins in your wallet? or send it to someone else for free? If I were you then I would leave the coins in my wallet for as long as possible, no exchange or not sellable anyway. Do something else that is more useful than wasting your time focusing on coins that cannot be sold at all.

Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

To avoid you regretting later why not just click on hidden button to hide the tokens from sight? You never can tell if those tokens you call worthless now will later rise once activities and publicity on them begins. There is no harm in keeping many tokens in your wallet. Scrolling down to find tokens or using the search engine on your wallet should not be any problem for anyone. I suggest you leave them in your wallet but hide them.

I can understand maybe how Op is having expectation of bull from those shit tokens in that wallet. And your suggestion of using the hide button is good because of the future, to avoid total regret because if deleted, it is gone when you forget the decimal, erc20 name etc, that is worst.

But talking about deleting, if the token was in exchange and got delisted or on some aspect where the token was deleted already from an exchange maybe because the shit token is worthless, the team abandon the project for long and no longer active in all social media, I think you can delete because the project has been scammed or exit.

useless wallets that are in our purses cannot be erased and they will remain there until the Day of Judgment Cheesy. If you feel annoyed with these tokens then you can send them randomly or you can create a new wallet

Don't bother deleting useless tokens from your wallet, you can still sell them for good price, bitcoin is surging now and soon altcoins will take over, all you need is patience mate, hold your coins or create a new wallet to store shit coins

I don't advise you to delete them or send them to other addresses, you may find that they are useful in the future when the development of the coin project continues, if you send them to another address, you will only lose fees and the presence of these coins in your wallet does not cost any risk, so you should not hurry and hold them because you do not know what will happen tomorrow.

You can remove them whenever you want but i am more curious why will you want to remove those coins? One fact is that the coin might be worthless now but it is only "now". You never know when the real value of the coin will be in 1 years or few years down the road just like what happen to bitcoin

I know useless token always shit. But, I think you will just waste Gas fees by sending that to another address. In my opinion, I suggest you not need to transfer that tokens.
Hahah agree, just let it there and become wallet's decoration, that's quite nice. i also have savaeral shitcoins from projects that already inactive right now, but that's okay just let it on my wallet

Yes you can delete it and its up to you if you want to clean your wallet with shitcoins, you can transfer them to any address if you want. But for me I'd rather ignore it or just simply leave it on my wallet so that I don't have to spend money doing it.

Indeed. You will be wasting gas fees when you try to transfer your funds to another wallet, so I suggest it's better to ignore all of your funds and stay in your wallet because it is very unlikely for shitcoins to have a good price. So you won't be able to make a profit from it, even you try to risk money to pay for gas fees.

I've met few insane crypto investors in this space before, all they do is buy useless tokens and hope for a better tomorrow, when I tell them they are stupid they said their stupidity got them rich in 2017, altcoin season of that year was so big that every shitcoins benefited from the wild ride, smart thing can still happen, keep your shitcoins

To boldly go where no rabbit has gone before...
You can send the tokenS back to their smart contract address or find an unknown eth address and send the tokens away but if were you I'd keep those junk tokens, now that Bitcoin is surging few shitcoins can still be profitable

Yeah this is true. Any shitcoin that is listed on ANY exchange (and this includes uniswap and FD) should see some price increase once ETH starts going up like it did in 2017.
So prepare to empty those wallets. Don't do "what-ifs" because you did that already and that's why you have ton of shitcoins
