Loneliness can make someone want to try something new and gambling is part of it. Getting addicted to gambling because of loneliness is also possible too. Having his wife leave him might have been too much for him to handle and he needed something to get him distracted. The fact that he is even getting money everyday will even make it more worse.

Move on by making way gambling it's foolish work ever because you can earn but you creating distance that effect on your relationship you are creating distance between your family members. That create addiction on gambling. For that reason it's can create in future you will face economical disaster. That's the reason don't chose gambling as a move on way to gambling. It's create more problem in future always try to find another way.

You are creating distance, and you are leading yourself to a possible addiction, if you are lonely and there's nothing that you think that will help
to forget your loneliness, and you are sparing your time inside gambling.

You are just adding more problems, as when the time you got to engage with gambling and your addiction is no longer controllable, you need someone
to help.

And with that, since you distance yourself to your friends or relatives because of gambling, that help will not be there for you to cope up.

Lonely is as a result of lack of work or something to keep you busy.So.many persons work from their house, which makes it easier for them to get access to online stuffs, because they find joy viewing online content, and while looking at things that will occupy their mind, they might chose to play online games that will take their money away in an attempt to try their luck.Slowly they start, but end up being addicted because they want to chase loses, and in the process,it will make them lose more.
At thesame time, there are so many games one can play and it won't involve online gambling, but the mind to find money and win money will push you into gambling.
You are correct, like the popular saying which you may also know of. It says that an idea man is the devil's work shop. It means that someday who is not doing anything can easily do something that will not benefit him or her.
Although, not all loneliness that might result to losing in gamble, some time one might win because as a gamble who gamble always they will be able to know that a gambler win and sometimes also lose.
But most gamblers blame them selfs for gambling, more especially when they start losing..
Been addicted to gamble is a gambler decision, if a gambler should learn to play carefully,, like trying to gamble safely, like not trying to gamble all the time and also don't try to chase his or her loses, the gambler will be safe.
But when a gambler is chasing loses, gambling for profit or using loan money to gamble and finally lose, the gambler will be so addicted to gamble.

Some of us will only want to use loneliness to distract ourselves and take advantage of that as the reason to displaying our personal attitude of addiction, if we are having a modest kind of a behavior through how we lived our life, we would not have taken advantage in doing something and engage doing otherwise, when you're idle, get yourself busy and not to get addicted while at the course of doing that.
Why and when do you think a person feels lonely? It's when they are free and have nothing to do or have no people to spend their time with or any activity that can keep them engaged. A person who lives alone but has everything they love, like if they love games, they have a gaming pc, Xbox, PlayStation, and every single thing that enables them to spend most of their time gaming and not feel lonely or depressed at all because when they are free, they have something to do.

Loneliness is only for the people who don't have much to do when they are free, which is why they will start looking for things that they can do to avoid being lonely, some might find gambling helpful in such situations because it makes one engaged and engraved with the thrilling experience.

There is no connection between loneliness and gambling except that person is already a gambler then he can utilized the opportunity of being lone to start gambling more or making some random deposit to his account to constantly keep gambling. Sometimes is from mindset what you think of is what mostly come into mind, and I don't see any reason why someone wife will leave him and he turns himself into gambling addiction instead of becoming a drunker or smoker because these two things are easily being triggered by loneliness and not becoming an addicted gambler.

Quite reasonable and your idea is almost the same as what I have in mind, people say that loneliness can trigger someone to get involved in gambling, I agree for that matter but on the other hand this idea only leads to those who have previously known or have been involved in gambling or even still quite active, because for ordinary people who have never gambled at all I think it is still unlikely for them to suddenly enter gambling to get involved in it, the scenario will not be that simple.

In general there are a lot of people who experience loneliness at certain times but not all of them are gamblers and that can kind of invalidate the idea that loneliness can trigger gambling, like I said that idea would only apply to someone who is already familiar with gambling so like you said that at the same time they are trying to take advantage of the time and opportunity to gamble and try their luck. Basically and overall there are still a lot of things that they can choose to do as an alternative to loneliness, playing online games (without risk), watching a movie or chatting something with one of their friends via mobile phone has the nature and potential that they are very likely to choose in general in such situations.

You are correct..
Such person must have been a gambling addicts or was trying to reduce and stop gambling before having that incident, most times whatever you want to stop and it happens that something triggered you to start going back to that which you have stopped. Especially becoming drunker whenever they faces emotional attacks they easily goes back to their previous attitude and same thing happens to smoker whenever they aren't emotionally balance or something upsets them they would angrily go back to what they have stopped before but for gambling sake I don't think loneliness can trigger it so easily except such person was already a gambling addicts.

Yeah so with that then I don't think we can just predict things in a bad direction, or I mean conclude that everyone who is lonely will choose to engage in gambling, most likely it will only potentially happen to those who have already been gambling. As I said above, there is no such thing as a simple scenario, and you have said here that if there are people who turn to gambling as an alternative when they are lonely then they are someone who has already gambled or gambles frequently.

I understand what you're saying here, it may be true that they could be one of those gamblers who is trying to quit gambling or is struggling to reduce their gambling activities, but there will always be times when the temptation comes, this is unexpected, one cannot plan when they will be lonely, And maybe for someone who is struggling to quit gambling the situation of "loneliness" is something that has great potential to thwart their intentions and efforts, in my opinion for that it depends on their own assertiveness on their intention to quit and if indeed they are less serious in their struggle then obviously the situation of loneliness is very likely to make them think of trying again to gamble which ultimately all plans fail.

As long as something new is not gambling, he is still safe and may be able to enjoy something that becomes a new habit or activity that he can do in his free time. But if it is gambling, he may find it difficult to quit gambling, meaning he may not be able to stop gambling easily. In gambling, there are many gambling games that he can play, and it will make him get pleasure that can cause him to forget to stop gambling. This is what lonely people who don't have anyone beside them should pay attention to because they can drown in gambling until they end up becoming gambling addicts that no one else knows about. This will only make him sink deeper into loneliness and also into gambling, which makes him experience gambling addiction problems.

If the person get into the gambling once, they will get desire again and again to play the gambling games. This is commonly defined as the temptation to play the game again and again.Once the gambler feel the thrill of win in the gambling, they will lag of that thrill at the time of loneliness. If the gambler feel the addiction on playing the game,he should engage themselves to the other games like football, cricket in their local places with their friends. The gambling also provides many games without the money involvement,So you can do the gambling without using of any money to avoid of loss at the addiction time.

If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?

How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?

If you are making $600 a day, that's $20000 in a month, and because you are only you start having interest to gamble, what do you think this is?

All these questions is been asked because someone close said all these and I think he are losing money and losing himself too, of all the discussions we had, these are the points I held unto.

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.

I think that the reasons why a person loses himself (as I understand from your description, this person loses himself) can be different. It can also be loneliness, when a person cannot find joy in anything, if in addition to this his wife left him, then this is even worse and only aggravates the situation. If he has money, perhaps he should seek help from a specialist and try to solve this issue or go to church, where God also solves similar problems.
But the most important thing is that until a person recognizes the problem as a problem, it is difficult for him to help or get out of there on his own because the problem does not exist in his opinion. How does a person understand that he made the wrong move then there will be a result
Yes they will usually depend on the person's own wishes to solve the problem. If a gamble can control himself if he understands his problem he will never be harmed. Also set your own personal work and goals to give your time to give you your time excluding gambling control to control gambling. It can help in searching literacy and knowledge which can help improve your mental health and other aspects of life. Time will give time to give strength to other social work and improve your healthy relationships.

That's right, because it doesn't make sense if someone who feels lonely in such circumstances suddenly gambles and becomes addicted. Because becoming a gambling addict does require a process, and apart from that, most people who are lonely with existing problems will divert their feelings of loneliness with habits or habits that they have or have done before.
And domestic relationship problems are difficult to just forget about, and usually most people will divert these problems by going to the bar to enjoy alcoholic drinks until they get drunk and forget about the existing problems. And it is not suitable for gambling because your thoughts and emotions have been damaged by problems which makes you lonely and you will play without control which makes you even more chaotic.
I don't think it's suitable. because it all depends on the person's environment. if he is in a circle of gambler friends, when he experiences problems then he will go to their friends. and that could be the start of someone to gamble.
everyone has their habits. and if a gambler does have secretive behavioral habits. I don't think it's impossible when he just opens an online casino to play. Maybe the situation is not the same as people who are addicted to games. but the possibility of that happening still exists.
Anything can happen and it goes back to the issue OP mentioned, and if she stated friends or environmental factors or her friends there's a chance it could happen. And usually beginner gamblers are easily addicted if they can't control themselves at first, plus the feeling of loneliness and problems they have will make them easily addicted, but it depends on whether the person likes or enjoys doing it. If not, then it is very likely that the person will do something else, and it is possible that he will do it by using existing habits or other things he has done, and starting from a chaotic situation or a situation that makes him addicted.

A friend of mine only borrows money from other friends and deposits it into gambling and quickly repays the loaned money with gambling profits.  He has been gambling like this for a long time.  When asked he says his gambling is good and he enjoys gambling.  Gradually his gambling only increased.  So I think that Loneline actually increases the tendency to gamble and makes gambling more addictive. Because then they plan to win gambling and pay back the money they took from their friends quickly.  But they never think of losing side

Your friend is a very lucky gambler, most of the time gamblers that borrowed money to play don't make anything profitable from gambling. The fact that they lost all their money into gambling and has nothing left and think of an idea to gamble with borrowed money, they will definitely lost that one as well except for rare cases when a gambler doesn't have any money on them and they want to toss a coin to try luck from gambling to get one or two change but most of the time they do lost their games.

If you have a friend that gamble and clearly come to you with the intention of gambling and ask you for money, don't borrow them if you have the intention of collecting it back and if you wish to give them without collecting it back, then you can give them. They hardly pay back, I don't even know why a serious minded person will think of borrowing money and then go and gamble.
I think people like that are rarely found because when someone starts gambling with borrowed money especially with their own friends. Usually someone don't take time to pay it back in the sense of not being in too much of a rush because someone who gambles with borrowed money finds it difficult to make a profit and from the experience of people I have heard, gambling with borrowed money will destroy gambler's life if they cannot pay it back this is if they borrow with collateral, but if not, it will be detrimental to the party who lent it because of the risk that the money will be lost because the gambler cannot return it.

I think the concept of asking and borrowing is different if asking means we give it with the money we can afford and don't expect anything in return, whereas borrowing means the gambler obligation is to pay it back. If we have a friend who likes to gamble when he is lonely and doesn't have money, maybe he will look for ways to entertain himself and the only way is to borrow the money, but we need to remember that when someone gambles lonely, especially with borrowed money, it will be more risky if they don't unable to control it and possibly unable to utilize the borrowed money to make a profits.

I don't really think loneliness can cause addiction of gambling. What I think is the cause of gambling addiction is to make quick money at your zone of comfort. Over the years there have been a quest of ways of making money and becoming extravagantly rich, and the thought always arrive at gambling. Gambling makes you bring fantasy into reality. By frequently betting without season hoping for a greater results. Some where lucky, while some where also not lucky enough. So its just a thing of trial to become rich and nothing more.

Loneliness can make people to become addicted to anything that will distract their minds from the cause of their being lonely, there's a whole lot of addictions, alcohol and smoking, pornography, drug, womanizing and a whole lot including gambling. They'll initially engage in this acts as a temporary measure to get over their lose, and as time goes on they'll unintentionally become fully involved and eventually addiction will kick in, and it'll be difficult for them to leave it. Even if they finally overcome the addiction it's likely that they'll find another recreation to engage in to overcome the void that the addiction that they left will cause, in the end it'll be going into another addiction to get over an addiction. So it's best for anyone that is going through loneliness to be strong and disciplined, even if they most engage in gambling or any other activities to get over the pains of loneliness, they most tell themselves that it is temporary and bounce back as soon as possible.

This may not be a case of loneliness but it is definitely a bad habit. If you don't see what your friend is doing as gambling addiction, then you have to revisit the definition of gambling addiction because this is a clear case of it. Borrowing morning to gamble is the fastest way of accumulating debt because the bookies will ensure you never win to repay those loans. You might win a few times but they will always get back all the money. I have been in such situation before and I can tell you for a fact that it is not a place to be. You will hardly win even though you gamble with the same strategy you have been using before that have been working.
On the time that you would really be losing control on everything which it isnt really just that limited to gambling but also in other things as well on where on the time that you do lose control and moderation then this is why it would really be that best that you should really be that having that kind of control so that you wont really be that ending up on bad situation. Loneliness could really be that a trigger into someones addiction specially if you do already have that kind of behavior on which you should really be trying to get rid of this if you dont really like for this thing to happen into you.
Once addiction would really be able to shackle you out then it would really be that hard for you to come out. This is why it would be always best that you should really know on what to do.

They hardly pay back, I don't even know why a serious-minded person will think of borrowing money and then go and gamble.
To some extent m,  I see anyone who borrows to gamble with as people that lack the expected financial frame of mi d to be callegamblerrs and no matter what the result is that your friend releases and habit of always paying back his loans,  this makes it appropriate to say that,  he is no really making enough profits from his gambling activities,  and also since he has to borrow to take the next bet make it irresponsible.

One of the things that gives a gambler a stable state of mind is in his ability to have consistent financial management and enough liquidity to gamble with at all time.
It is really indeed suicide if you do get up some loans just for you to gamble on which there's no way that you could really be able to assess basing up on the actions you had made whether its really that good or really that bad. People do usually lost up into their senses on which they cant really be able to assess on things which are really that obvious that it is really that dangerous.
Being lonely then this is also what makes you trigger on finding ways on how you would really be able to ease up that condition on which it is really just that normal for a
human being on doing such thing. This is why we would really be that considering on dealing up with gambling but of course it would be depending whether you are a gambler or not
because we know that there are other things on which you can deal off with.
Borrowing money for gambling scares me. This is a dangerous step toward financial catastrophe. Understand that gambling is a game of chance, not a reliable income. Gambling with borrowed money endangers your mental health and future.

Gambling is a momentary fix that often makes loneliness worse, not a cure. Socializing, therapy, and trying new interests are healthy methods to cope with loneliness.

Gamble responsibly. Budget time and money carefully. Gamble just what you can afford to lose. Gambling should be fun, not a tool to solve problems. Get treatment promptly if you cant control your gambling. Addressing gambling addiction early can prevent major problems.
