It would be much easier to surpass Ethereum than it is Bitcoin and ETH has been flipped a few times already by Bcash and XRP. There are already other platforms out there that are better at being a world computer and smart contracts platform. The possibility is very low for a newly created crypto currencies to overtake the Eth as doing it is like a miracle as they will not only overtake the Eth but also the other currencies out there who are doing their best to come on top.
