Well I really wanted to reply to a thread but I guess I have to reply to this one first. Only 3 hours and 43 more minutes to go!

Same here - I had some input for the speculation thread but had better get a few more posts on this subforum first I guess.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying as a newly signed up member that I can't reply to the thread that I signed up to reply to immediately, but I guess I understand the idea. It is kind of silly in a way, but hey, whatever floats the moderators boats I guess Grin

yea there should be a warning when registering. i was happily reading around minding my own business, when suddenly "whaaat.. where how reply??" Cheesy
or maybe i just didnt notice when registering... much annoy

There is a warning. It's also in the sticky in the newbie readme.

This doesnt make any sence for me, that you have to find a newbie topic and write some pointless text and wait a lot of time just to be able to post on the rest of the forum.
If there was some trolls that were making new accounts just to troll someone, wouldnt it be easier that you were able to make certain amount of accounts per IP?

Sorry buddy, it is not convenient for me too, but it's really working solution and eliminates a lot of moderators headache

Why doesn't it make sense? It's not just to keep trolls away. That IP would probably be banned if several people were trolling from it.

simple, but good method to get trolls away.... but hard to find places, where you are able to post.... except this one
