The blockchain technology was designed for anonymous transaction display relating to a person or place bit it doesn't erase transactions. However one can track the movement of a particular fund but you can't tie it to anything

really difficult , because it is irreversible when your robber already did transactions you could only know txid (id of transactions),but if have enough authority maybe you can tracked the robber, or ask the online wallet to open the identity use your extra authority, and also if your country legalize bitcoin , you can contact the police. not difficult at all all. i cant still see exactly where my stolen bitcoins have went, up to right now ( i believe they are split up among a bunch of random wallets, they have been spent ALOT of times ). the problem is that i dont know who any of those wallets belong to; they might as well be obscured. this is pretty much the point of bitcoin, at least one of them. being anon, virtually (its not real) while making transactions because addresses are so numerous. the blockchain would be useless if it did not record this.

According to me once you have sent the money and the transaction has been confirmed there is 0% possibility of getting it back, all you can do is know which address you sent your btc to,this is the reason deep web accepts payment only in btc, because it is impossible to trace the owner through the transaction details.

No this is impossible. You only get to see the wallet the money entered but cant take it back.
Exactly, Things didn't work like banks when some of its client gets scammed or else they will still have the chance to retract the money because it's centralized and have authority to rule the transactions. But, bitcoin is decentralized, no one could country and there's no authority aswell. Basically in cryptocurrencies, if you lost your money, then you lost it.

hello all,how are u all,
a friend was scammed of a huge amount of btc,and i want to know if one can retract a btc already in another wallet, thank u
Sad to know that my friend maybe the transaction they have by the thief will trace but the money he stole were never pull back by the other user. Next time tell your friend that be careful with many hackers around.
What wallet he used why the thief stolen their huge btc we have our own secret key i think its hardly scam by the others.

Yes the funds has already gotten into the wrong hands and so even though you might see the location IP address and wallet of the thief and other details you can not reverse the transaction unfortunately.

To be honest we can't. Though, if you could only knew who has the motive to that then you could track his IP address but if none then it's better to move on. This is one of the advantages and disadvantages of this world. Since it's being decentralized some take advantage in it to transact without the government noticing it and to do illegal stuffs. But for your friend his/her money is long gone. Millions are transacting every day and your chances if recovering the loss BTC is unimaginable.

You can check it, yes but there is more than that is useless. You should already know the bitcoin transaction can not be sued anymore. So your only hope of returning your money is a scammer, with a miracle, deciding to send it back to you.

It is possible to track transaction in the blockchain, BUT and it it a big but, You can never know if the coins are still owned by the person who stole them, or if he has already sold them.

Any transfer can be a transfer to a new owners address, or transfer between the same owners addresses. How could you know?

It is possible to sell bitcoins outside of exchanges too. Eg. in localbitcoins or net forums.

Yes, it is possible to trace the stolen bitcoin from your wallet, just go to the transaction list and you can see the bitcoin transaction hash with the information of the hacker bitcoin wallet address. But if the hacker decided to use a bitcoin mixer service, it would be difficult for you to track down the transaction.

May be it is possible in the future but not in this day. Because there is no such software to give you the guarantee of tracing your lost coins. As you mentioned that you can only trace your transaction and do not know who the receiver is, I suggest that there should be a program which can stop illegal transaction. By this way I think your bitcoin will be safe and no one will hack and steal them.

I think that we can trace a stollen bitcoin but it is very hard for us to do that. And if the owner decides to use bitcoin mixer, we will have no chance to trace it anymore. Bitcoin mixing is one of the greatest inventions here and I do think that It can stop people from following other people's wallet

Well chainanalysis proved with the mtgox-btce case that even mixed coins can be traced. It's hard to do but it can be done.

My recommendation for OP is to explain everything to the police, because they might have the means.

Transactions can be traced but getting back your money? I don't think so, this is the major con of bitcoin from paper currency. Because it is not governed by laws that make people afraid of scamming other people. Unlike in fiat that every transaction happens personally or by banks. Which makes it easier to get back what you lost and make the culprits pay for whatever they did to you. Tell your friend to just light a candle and cry over it for a night and get over it the next day.
Stolen BTC can't be tracked on the blockchain it will not get money back for the owner and we can't identify who stole your BTC. Using Bitcoin could hide your identity from others. You should secure your wallet carefully then link to your email to know who was trying to access your wallet.
