I think Bitcoin would be a great way for those who have some trust issue when it comes to online payment.
It could be great for the visitors but we couldn't really know if it would affect the market.

In my own opinion it can really bring negative effects to those people who are not open minded but for those people that are open minded they will not see it as a negative effects. If the porn sites are the keys on how we will be able to promote cryptocurrency and bitcoin then just go but if this will just bring ashamed on the cryptocurrency then please don't.
If this happen maybe the market becomes boom again because many people will use cryptocurrencies in order to make transactions in porn sites.

Porn sites and paying with cryptocurrencies directly would be beneficial for people who would like to hide the fact of using such websites as they buy crypto on exchange and send the crypto directly to the porn site.
In such case from the point of view of the spouse/partner, you would see a transaction linked to eg. Linkkoin exchange, not a porn-related company. And as wallets are not under names of companies/individuals - it would be hard to reveal for what crypto was used for.
So then if the trading volume and number of transactions within blockchain would have been increased thanks to porn it could be beneficial.

BUT - as someone already pointed out: these websites may be subject to hacks, and in case of replacing the porn website owned wallet addresses to hackers one - you will not get your money back. Unless there will be uploaded some sort of short movie of a porn star writing the wallet address on a paper Grin

As long as it's legal porn, I don't see any problem with bitcoin being the payment method whatsoever. In fact, I think it's an almost perfect use for bitcoin, since most people don't want to put a porn subscription or whatever on their credit/debit card. And why should bitcoin get a bad rap? Before it existed, people paid for porn with fiat--and drugs, weapons, as well as funding terrorists, too. The USD never got its reputation smeared because of that, and bitcoin shouldn't either.

As I said, legal porn. But I'm pretty sure bitcoin's reputation has been sullied because of illegal kiddie porn busts that made the news and where bitcoin was involved. Bitcoin shouldn't get blamed for any of that, but people don't think critically about most things and even fewer understand what bitcoin is. That's life.

Although it's probably one of the largest industries out there, I see no reason it would change Bitcoin. Like come on, aren't we already past the "X is accepting Bitcoin!" stage?

My classmates told me that they have porn sites that accepting bitcoin as payment to access the special videos or they can able to become VIP to that site. I don't see any negative effects on that but they have positivity because even porn sites help us to promotethe bitcoin but for the minors it is not good because they still not better to watch the porn but if you are legal age and use bitcoin for porn sites I don't see any problem for that.

If porn sites don't figure a way to deal with bitcoin directly, and they still have to rely on a third-party payment processor which also relies on an exchange to convert it into fiat and then ironically depends on a bank to transfer the fiat to the service provider there will be no advantages when regarding fees, making the whole thing more expensive for both business and customer.

Using BTC on these sites could be really beneficial for the adaptation of crypto into the market.
I am not sure about "it won't have a negative effect" though as you can see it's already well known that BTC is used in some illegal activities and using it on porn sites might have an additional effect on the bad reputation of BTC, especially from conservative people.

Porn sites are just another business that is used by millions all over the world... for BTC to be accepted as payment option it would definitely be good news as it would increase awareness, and surely increase transfer volume... I see nothing illegal or shady about this
The only problem is that BTC is not private and I have doubts if the network would be able to handle the volume... but these are obstacles that can be worked...

In Bitcoin's early days, it was often associated with the Silk Road marketplace and similar darknet activity. Law enforcement and the media associated Bitcoin with criminals and politicians were pushing for legal crackdowns because of that.

Did that endanger Bitcoin's future? No, quite the opposite. Persistent acceptance among criminals has always lent Bitcoin legitimacy as a store of value, and it's long provided a basis for demand (adoption) too.

Porn is actually a legitimate, legal industry so it's not even a threat in the same way.

yes bitcoin might be so popular once any pornsites accepting it as a payment but in a bad way, it will help to people get interest what is bitcoin and why its usable in porn site. Then the addoption may start because they will wonder how this bitcoin things work and how to have it.

I don't think that there would be a negative effect on Bitcoin if porn sites starts to accept it as a payment option.
For me I think it would just help Bitcoin specially if the big porn sites starts to accept it and use it.
The only negative side would be when the governments force to stop them or if some users are uploading something illegal and they would get paid with crypto.

Chaturbate is the number one of the list out of those 33 Porn Sites Accepting BTCs. This business sector was going widely now and there are more people keep using Bitcoin as a payment for better privacy purposes.

I didn't see any negative impact because that doesn't involve any crime relate issues. I agree with Coolcryptovator that using fiat currency has no impact, how much more on using Bitcoin might the same situation as well to fiat. But this isn't. Choosing Bitcoin as payment is good for your privacy and I think that was most people like and again, there's no negative impact with that.

AFAIK a big platform like Chaturbate accepts bitcoin payments via Coinpayments.
I don't know about any other big porn platforms that accept cryptocurrency payments.
If you ask me,BTC adoption in the online porn industry doesn't have any positive or negative impact over bitcoin.BTC is accepted in the online gambling business for years and gambling addiction can be more damaging than porn addiction.Both industries have a bad image,but who cares,millions of people watch porn and play gambling games online everyday.

Before that, I have another question. If a porn site accept fiat like PayPal, visa/master card, does it effect on fiat currency? I don't think so. So technically if porn site accept bitcoin there shouldn't any negative effect. Rather than it would be more easy to hide identity if porn viewers could pay via bitcoin. Whoever's against bitcoin from beginning, they will say always negative, but who care? I believe by this way bitcoin payment methods will be popular for regular porno viewers. No dangers expected.

the porn site might have a high traffic of users but I think it might also help in making bitcoin popular and more acceptable but the major drawback is that some companies do not want to associate themselves with payment systems that support immorality. In the same way, some of the available payment processors do not want users that participate in an online gambling. also, porn sites are known to be a huge base for malware and harmful flash ads. The virus can easily steal your wallet information

Its more a optics issue because porn sites constantly hit users with malware and crypto connection to ransomware is already damaging. So it would be more damaging at this point due to banks slowly opening up to crypto, could cause a set back.

At first,It is not every one that sees porn as been negative, though you said well on porn site gaining more attention in this world. But in as much as some of us know that it is not a good channel at which Bitcoin should spread to avoid further pollution and unconscious promotion of porn, which I wouldn't subscribe to also,but don't you think many will take it spiritual or bitcoin itself would not care but will be after it's progressive circulation.
