Solana the next Ethereum? I think it's just endless assumptions. We need to know that they have their own concepts of networking and their uses. But one thing is for sure, Solana transaction fee is still the best.
ithink yes for long but not now because of the market structure bear market but soon its posible tp be the next ethereum. sol is goods for long term not for short for sure.

But in my experience with Solana, it's fast and cheap, and has a good wallet (phantom)..I can just buy NFT or make some defi with just few click and it's not costing me money. Well they plan to launch a phone with Solana "in it"..
So yeah, I more comfortable using Solana rather than eth, cos you know it's become uneasbale if the traffic hit.

SOL on the other hand tries to do one thing but keeps getting frozen chain at times for failing at what they promised they will have, and that is not something I would like to see which is why I do not invest into it, doesn't seem likeable to me.

It's always the fans and the investors that are thinking like that. Although I've seen some developers that have been really focused on dropping down Ethereum or alike of their projects because they think that they're superior to those that are already existing a long time ago.Based on its feature, it can be compared to ETH but that's just there and if it beats it then it beats it but, it's not all about that because it has its own purpose and goal.

Now these two altcoin projects already have the same algorithm, namely PoS,

because we know that there are many altcoins with very good PoS algorithms,

I was once a Solana believer. Although I still trust Solana to become one of the top rated cryptocurrencies but my trust has lowered because of frequent halts in the blockchain.
Halting a blockchain is definitely not good but I guess it was absolutely necessary for Solana to do it.
I still hold a chunk of Solana coins since I still has the potential to recover and gain trust of everyone but then let's see how it goes.
I am also a follower of Sol with what it shows, the blockchain network has a fast processing speed with extremely cheap gas fees, it must be said that it is the fastest and cheapest among the layer 1 blockchains that I used. Any new project has a problem at the beginning of development and we can ignore it but sadly, solana has outage 4 times in 2022 alone, and we still don't know if it will happen in the future or not. That's really sad for a project as big as Solana.
That's rightly said. Outages are also a hurdle for a new project but halting the blockchain itself is seriously a bad thing which promotes centralization.
For a big project like Solana it has definitely defamed the coin but I hope things become better over time.
Still it is one of the best projects in the top 10 which is a strong reason why investing some amount in it is not a bad idea.
While Solana is backed by billionaires and VC and listed as a WEF approved project, I don't think it compares tech wise with Celo with Libra's 100k TPS scaling, NEAR with sharding, and ICP which has subnets and runs at the speed of the internet. Besides, ICP can host websites on the blockchain, no other Web3 chain can do that.

now Ethereum has become a PoS algorithm, of course this is the same as SOLANA, where SOL also uses PoS as an algorithm, maybe this is the beginning of SOL and ETH becoming real competitors,

But Solana's network has been down several times in the last few months.The network congestion has greatly affected the price of Solana. And the price of Solana is not recovering. On the other hand, Ethereum has been pumped many times and has given its investors many times of profit even in this bearish market. So to say that Solana will replace Ethereum is looking very difficult.
I guess there's a risk of further fall over all coins at the moment, including Bitcoin. Solana has potential, we can't deny that, but it's far from taking over Ethereum that took it to the next level with the latest merge. I think people should think of Solana as some long-term investment, like all other coins at the moment, as I feel that this bearish crypto market will last for a while!
Ethereum is just the first of its kind, it will stay on top for sure, but I like to support some other platforms because they maintain lower fees in all circumstances, while Ethereum annoys me with some crazy high fees. I am an old timer, I choose coins with cheaper and faster way more than just a name!

your question doesn't make sense. and what you need to know that there are so many altcoins that have become a favorite of many people, but that does not mean that altcoins will replace other altcoins. and one more thing you should know that ethereum is the best altcoin that has strong fundamentals so that it is still able to survive today. while solona is just a new altcoin that is currently trending, so it's better for you to pair it with an altcoin that is more equal and comparable to it. not with ethereum.

Yes it is true that Solana has been performing very well in the past few days and has managed to capture a good potential market but because of that I don't think it is going to be the next Ethereum. As such, solana is a new blockchain currency, but its performance is much lower than ethereum, and I think that if solana improves day by day, ethereum will also rise, so I think these two are not comparable, solanar should have kept litecoin as its opponent. .
