Ethereum is indeed too difficult to catch, because besides Ethereum has a solid development team, Ethereum will always evolve so other projects
can't follow.

That's why Ethereum has always been under Bitcoin for a long time, and no other altcoins have been able to displace Ethereum from the second

for Solana beating BNB looks like it's going to be difficult.

no one knows because in crypto anything can happen. However recently there was some bad news for Solana which resulted in Solana's price dropping further than the other big altcoins. In addition the bad news caused Solana's ranking to drop in CMC and currently Solana is no longer a competitor to BNB. in future anything can happen but right now solana is no match for ETH.

The reason why people like SOL is because of its cheap and very fast
transaction speed but they usually forget that this fast tx is because SOL is not truly decentralized as Ethereum blockchain.

solana will just stay becoming solana, considering that it's quite different compared with eth, meanwhile I think coin that could become next eth is matic, since it's very similar ecosystem.
of course in the future solana could always increase its value even higher than eth since solana is very famous, but at the end of the day i don't think solana could ever replaces eth in term of market capitalization in the long term.

The BNB was in the queue already and the ADA and Matic was on the way towards the Ethereum.Solana was not had huge amount of investment and investors like the BNB,ADA and Matic.The only reason for increase in the Solana investment is due to the trading platform fee for certain coins.

Im sure that these days people are also actively using multiple blockchain at the same time and why do we need to see a blockchain to compete with another one when anyone able to use them at once? it sounds like you are shillers rather than crypto investors. My answer will be " Absolutely Not". Solona ha so many issue and I fear that it will go down more. They make huge success in 2021 but after reaching ATH their network suffer many problem. Now once again we saw massive down in price which show the weakness Sol network.
There is no Ethereum killer so far and will more powerful after Ethereum merge. In future may be any chain make history but still market need Ethereum in high demand than any other chain.

It quickly became a favorite because it came out with a better idea. I think this was also the coin who is labelled out as an ethereum killer but that didn't happened because eth is still there, alive and kicking. I don't know if the power of solana is not enough to kill eth or eth is simply strong enough to withstand any blow that other great altcoins are giving to it. Time will soon come that eth will be upgraded into a new version and I think that will make eth more faster, better and stronger . The gap between eth and other great altcoins are going to be farther.
