I would be great to have a bitcoin or cryptocurrency day but to be honest we don't deserve it yet IMO. We need a great user base as compared to that of fiat and something concrete activity or event such as government's legal status to cryptocurrencies. Such things really matters (see commerce graph on valentine day) so in the long run, it is really beneficial.
definitely,it would create curiosity among people who don't know about bitcoins to know about it.It must be organized world wide. But since there is no central authority for bitcoin, its difficult to organize.

I don't think that it would be difficult if we decide to organize such day. We have a powerful community like bitcointalk and we have also sub forums for local meetups so if even if someone is willing to do such thing on local level, he can do so by announcing in the local forum section and probably creating a Facebook event.

It shouldn't be if you use Facebook event planner or similar. Add it to forums too and blogs and newsletters. Take pictures and announce plans. There events all I've the world for just about anything. Bitcoin should be easy.

I agree. If the bitcoin has its own celebration day it would be more popular and it could attrack many people to use it and invest to it.It can also help them to deal with their finances plus the knowledge that they will recieve on the proper handling of bitcoins and any other currencies.
Agree with you, If we have a Bitcoin day, people all over the world will know about Bitcoin so that we, Bitcoin users, are the one who can make profits when people buy Bitcoin. Also, Bitcoin day will be a chance for everyone to learn about Bitcoin and have chance to earn more money

I think the first step is that  Bitcoin needs to have more attentions than now and enter to our daily life so that every single person knows about bitcoin so that we can  call some date as the day of bitcoin. but I am wonder in the d+case if such date would be seted - what day exactly it would be?

It's nice. Helding a Bitcoin day is good but there's a problem that Bitcoin is banned in some country so that if we celebrate Bitcoin day but they can't attend, there would be very difficult for the government to prevent them from their angry, there Bitcoin users will feel bad about this.

It's a good idea. I think when this day is held, everyone all over the  world will know about Bitcoin and we, Bitcoin users can have chance to exchange experiments, to learn from each other or may be, it's a good chance for investor of start-ups find their way to find partners, find their share-holder

for me i choose not sure because not all people know about bitcoin and every bitcoin earner are far or located in different part of the world.
I think it's good if it's done locally and live it online to share it with fellow bitcoin earner worldwide.
So celebrating a bitcoin day can become one more way to spread the awareness and unite bitcoiners all over the world.

For me I would say yes! because we are now in digital world so we need a digital currency to easy trading, selling and payment online.
But it also depend on very one of us on what is bitcoin on our needs.
Cool. Sometimes it is very difficult to produce 1 bitcoin in 1 day, even I can not do it now. Maybe trading and gambling is how to get it, but sometimes to produce something big, need money, and high risk.

Due to the immense number of commemorative days in the current calendar (many of them quite absurd and irrelevant), I do not think  a "Bitcoin Day" has too much meaning for the world. In any case, it would be a celebration day for the bitcoin community, and perhaps for all "crypto-enthusiasts", so the "Bitcoin Day" would actually be something like the "Digital Financial Revolution Day".  Grin

I do not think it's too urgent if we want a bitcoin day. The more important is how many people know about the benefits and benefits of bitcoin. If everyone knows and uses bitcoin, bitcoin day we can celebrate

YEA we definitely need to replace Valentine's day with Bitcoin day. Been spending a bomb on those days man.. Grin Grin Grin

We can have a day dedicated to bitcoin, it is a very sensible thing, but I do not think we should remove him valentina. It is a very meaningful holiday for everyone, if I choose, I will choose valentine's day.
We do not need to remove any other day for celebrating valentine day because bitcoin has its own day of its foundation so we will celebrate that day for the day of bitcoin and at that day we will do some excite-full events to promote it more and more.
yes that is very right we do not need to remove any other day for bitcoin, but to celebrate it on its own day. i think it is also one of the most good way of introduction bitcoin, specially in such area where people do not have any idea about bitcoin. i am hopeful that through this way they will certainly know much more about bitcoin and hopeful that they will start using and investing money in bitcoin.

But guys everyday is Bitcoin day !!  Roll Eyes

YEA we definitely need to replace Valentine's day with Bitcoin day. Been spending a bomb on those days man.. Grin Grin Grin
And having a bitcoins day does not mean we have to do too much. There can just be a global chat or part among all the bitcoiners and they can solely discuss about the bitcoins and the future of it. Basically this will provide a new platform for the discussion of bitcoins since having a fixed date would help everyone make sure they have time that day.

You can have Bitcoin parties . Bitcoin based settings and themes. It would be fun. Or altcoins even I guess. They should maybe have a regular coins day too !
