Yes,manipulation can be done easily in altcoins which has low marketcap.But, i think in bitcoin which has a huge marketcap,it is not easy to manipulate the price.Even,bitcoin price is also not in control of chinese holders nowadays.

Manipulating the price of bitcoins is the basic element that controls the price of bitcoins. Somewhere I read earlier that china's some rich guys or company took huge amount of bitcoins and hence made the price fly and this helped them since the rise in price meant that more guys would buy bitcoins and hence once they see a good price they just dump their coins.Just like what is happening now, I think someone is manipulating the price of bitcoin. Since there is an important event that is coming for a few days left. It's what many are believing that we can manipulate bitcoins price but that is just applicable for those big players in bitcoin. This is not applicable for us who are just small time bitcoin traders.

I guess quite a lot of people right now want to see the price go down a few hundred dollars to buy up cheap bitcoins. In fact, whenever we saw the price go down dramatically, it had been not because of some evil group of big whales (let's call them a pod of cryptowhales) manipulating the price down but largely because of hacks (the Bitfinex incident) or scams (Mt. Gox). The manipulators seem to be more inclined to manipulate the price up rather than down overall

There is no manipulation for the bitcoin right now, and we always see the bitcoin will become stronger everytime.
It is not possible to make collusion like that right now because we need so many bitcoin users to make a deal to manipulate with bitcoin price so that will never happent but if somebody who is in govrement we contact maybe he can help us for bitcoin manipulations with some kind of laws.

.Wonder how ? Because if someone has 0.01 bitcoins and he fills a order on an exchange with that that means he lowered the price a bit. Actually this manipulation is what a lot of whales play with, and quite easily squeeze some nice profit.

you should never forget that no matter how much you influence bitcion price and how much you manipulte it, all those effects would be temoprary. none of the last long.
and ever day that passes and new people come in and others become more experienced it becomes harder.

.If you have a big amount of bitcoins in storage then you will have the capacity to influence or manipulate the price of bitcoin in the market. As long as you dont hold a fake volume like the Chinese Exchanger does then there is nothing wrong. But a good trader in his proper mind will not allow bitcoin to decrease in value again and making his remaining coins in lesser value. If I were to hold a huge amount of coins I will sell them not in one go so I will not affect the price of bitcoin and will enjoy higher profit from the huge price.
I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum
if I could it would take a very mature calculation also needed to funds, if you want to form a cartel with fellow members bitcointalk then the required solidity and will have no consequence let no one harmed, if like this it's hard not necessarily they want
