I would like to believe that the government will find loyal methods for regulating crypto-currencies. The position of governments is quite clear: they want to regulate crypto-allocations and partly protect depositors from unforeseen losses of funds, as crypto-currencies are unstable and change very quickly.

"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks

Thanks for sharing and let's discuss, it seems the government does not want to kill the crypto. they just want to create rules that may be complicated for cryptocurrency. because the government wants to take advantage of the use of cryptocurrency

Government definitely can slow down the growth of crytocurrency and suppress the price within their power.  But, it's impossible to shut it down completely.

The government can shutdown or clamp down  cryptocurreny movements but they can't stop it. As they try to block it more people will retaliate and gain much user in the process.

The government can do everything. Especially they are good at destruction. But the government is hardly interested in crypto-currencies and the scale is different.

Yes. The government is the government and they have all the capacity and machinery to stop or kill whatever they feel they want to. Especially a new thing that is just budding like crypto but we hope they see the inevitability of crypto and don't kill it.

it could be that the world government is killing the cryptocurrency, but how much money should be spent to make it happen, to block porn sites alone, my country has spent hundreds of millions of dollars, let alone to block all cryptocurrency access, and I think governments around the world will think a thousand times to realize this  Cheesy

I think that it is too late to ban cryptocurrency, because many governments began to support it.

which goverment you are talking about. in Asia there are still many who oppose or ignore the bitcoin legalization as a valid payment instrument. if many cases of real crime with bitcoin would be very possible banning crypto inside a country. such as cases of illegal drugs and firearms with bitcoin.

it will not be possible to completely kill the crypto currency, because for this it is necessary to turn off the supply of electricity and the Internet, which is absolutely impossible. but you can try to resolve it, which is what governments are trying to do. someone is easier to completely prohibit the crypto currency at the legislative level, someone treats it more loyal. I also think that digital technologies should be encouraged and developed, not prohibited.

World Government can demonize and put legal restrictions on cryptocurrency. But cryotocurrency will not die. In an event that cryptocurrency is banned by world Government, cryptourrency willgo underground and it will still be used!

Do we have a world government already? When did it happen?

The best thing foe us is that world government does not exist so far. And as long as we have a lot of small governments always will have somebody that is willing to take some risks.

In my opinion I believe indirectly world governments can affect crypto through strict regulations. This will sway people away from investing into cryptocurrency and many who have already done will be afraid and exit the market. Just like what is happening now in the market, if there is few or no demand the market worth will continue to decline maybe to a point where crypto will be close to nothing.

The government does not benefit from removing the crypto currency from the market. It can not completely replace real money, but it is quite possible to remove the investment tension and fill the void.

I think if the world governments want that, though it would be damaging the economy, it could happen. At the same time, this won't stop the crypto market as I feel it will still have some prominence

The governments can introduce laws to regulate crypto-currencies, for example, new taxes, and nothing more. Crypto currency is a force that can not be stopped.

I think the fact that the main trait of cryptocurrencies is decentralization so it would be impossible to kill a cryptocurrency completely, maybe they could regulate them but nothing really that bad.

crypto currencies are just new and governments are waiting for it to mature. According to my opinion, if the government grows out of control, it will legislate in the future to check the crypt money. maybe it could be bad then.
Things are much easier. You're right about one thing. Governments are waiting for the cryptocurrency to Mature. And then, in a strange way, it will die and resurrect as an innovative technology of digital money. I can already see the posters....

I think they will be very difficult if it wants to target the currency crypto and kill the currency crypto. What I know the government can only prohibit currency crypto in the country and you will not be able to access the currency crypto is banned. Could though certainly you will be in search by the government.

The government will be concerned about the development of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology. The government is always trying to block these developments through various issues that threaten cryptocurrency, but believe the government will find it difficult to kill cryptocurrency, the government will only continue to threaten people not to use cryptocurrency.

It seems to me that if cryptocurrencies pose a threat to the current economic system, the governments of the strongest countries will be able to suppress cryptocurrencies. At the moment it is unlikely. Some countries see a lot of positive in cryptocurrencies, despite their anonymity.
