According to my understanding except for on line gambling sites  there is no country that has launched a lottery ticket using bitcoin as a means of payment but we would definitely expect an on line Lottery system in the near future focusing on paying with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency because such sites are becoming more popular among many people in the crypto community and the idea is much great to use Bitcoin to pay winners because it is a valuable asset

I am just curious to know if you can buy lottery tickets for your own national lottery in your country. I am not referring to all these scam gambling sites with supposed "Provably Fair" lottery systems.

I bought some lottery tickets online and I was only presented with the old traditional payment options and I figured it is time for us to approach these Lottery operators, to ask for a Bitcoin payment option.  Wink

If enough people ask for this, they just might consider giving us that option to pay with bitcoins.  Grin  What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?
If your government does not accept or consider bitcoin or other crypto currencies as a legal tender/currency than no way you will be able to purchase those state lotteries with crypto currencies. But you can use third party people who will buy those tickets for you in exchange of bitcoin.
And if you really want to try some legitimate lottery, join crypto-games.net. I can guarantee you the results are all legitimate and not rigged Smiley.

I think that a national lotteries only have the state as the owner, so in order to buy lottery ticket with bitcoin the government should recognize bitcoin as legal tender and allow such a form of payment. It may be possible in Germany or Japan where bitcoin is regulated, but for now I did not see such option in my country or anywhere in EU.

However I find some online options to buy lottery ticket with bitcoin, and they offer EuroJackpot, EuroMillions, PowerBall and some others lottery. I am not sure do they actually buy ticket and play actual numbers or they have some other method. In any case, if I win big money I'd rather have a winning ticket in my hands.

I post this link for informational purposes, but if you get the jackpot I hope for some % as reward Wink

Bitcoin in our country is still unknown to some.Cryptocurrencies existence here was not that active. Most developed countries have huge bitcoin users but in my country the government doesn't give a moment to introduced it to public..that is why some of my fellow people doesn't have enough knowledge on cryptocurrencies and bitcoin.

In my country lottery is illegal and very few parts of my country has been provided with legal rights to sell lottery. Here we can get through local vendors as well as online. The payment modes available were hard cash, card payments, and internet banking. Here people were not that aware of cryptocurrency and its needs. Maybe in the future can see similar lottery games with bitcoin payments gateway.

Currently legal and my country manager has not recognized bitcoin as crypto, and the ability to buy lottery tickets with bitcoin is not possible. In the future I hope the law of my country allows it.

So far I'm not aware in my country that you can used bitcoin to buy national lottery. It's still the old way here, you need to fall in line, mark your numbers and have it scan and they will gave you the ticket. Of course I would consider if I can pay with my bitcoins, but so far, it's nada, although I lived wherein crypto is embrace and maybe the government hasn't think about that options yet.

Other payment methods such as credit card and debit card are not even accepted on lotteries when they are already legal and recognized by all of the people around the world .  how much more with cryptos ?

I can't imagine using credit cards for buying lottery tickets, it feels like I ain't going to win since it was just a " credit ".
The chances of winning will be less. :p

This isn't far to happen, anything can happen, crypto is still young and will go far, sooner.

We will just wake up one morning, a newspaper man have his barcode in his bike. " BTC accepting here "

i find lotteries the worst thing that someone can spend his money on. there are lots of ways to gamble your money away and lottery is not one of them. and when it comes to buying its tickets with bitcoin that would be like throwing away something extremely valuable to get something worthless in return with a tiny chance of making some money from it!

You should change your perception of the national lottery, because in some countries, some of the money are used to fund charities and also job creation. I have seen several movies that were funded by the national lottery and also the development of young people who has some potential in art and culture and also sport.  Wink

A national lottery can help to fund projects that are not funded by private companies and/or individuals. I see my lottery participation as a charity funding excersize and not money wasted on nothing.  Wink

Where is my ring of blades...
adoption of bitcoin as a currency has not happened as much as I hoped in my country, instead it is still mainly treated as an investment and an online way of payment. so things such as buying national lottery tickets is a far away kind of adoption that we can hope for at this point.

besides I don't think people would be that interested in something like that. they still prefer paying cash for something like a lottery ticket.

It wont happen in my country because of two reasons, first is that gambling is an illegal thing and secondly is about crypto currency regulation in my country as the only allowed payment method is Fiat money.
Basically gambling was legal thing in the past in my country, I remember when I was child there were so many people around me buying lottery in a place and they were waiting for the lottery resuly every week in one location (where they bought the tickets).
It will be great if gambling will be legal thing again in the future and we can use crypto for it.

No, in our country, the government doesn't allow to pay through Bitcoin and maximum people don't want it, they think it is illegal. Sometimes I feel wonder how people still think Bitcoin is being used by the criminal, not in a good way! Buying tickets, lottery or any other goods through Crypto payment would be a great experience, I hope I will do that openly in my country. People will know and appreciate this great technology in the near future.

We do not have bitcoin payment option in buying lottery tickets and we still use our traditional money when we buy lottery ticket. In my country even in online and offline lottery we still accept traditional money but once we fully adopt the cryptocurrencies maybe in the few years they will add bitcoin payment option.

Same here  . we can only use local currency to buy lottery tickets but crypto adoption here is now spreading like a wildfire .

Crypto can be only used for buying or paying other kind of service but not for purchasing lottery tickets . sorry !

Unfortunately, I can't in my country, cryptocurrency is not accepted by my government and is hence not so popular. Not many outlets want to be associated with it.
Approaching would be good, and would tell this companies that the community is ready for Bitcoin payment option.
I do not gamble, I would be more interested in online shops accepting Bitcoin.

I can't buy lotery tickets in my country. in my country BTC and the crypto world are still banned and the government still rejects crypto development. besides, I don't like playing lottery. and in my country public enthusiasm for the lottery is very low. so for temporary, my country is not a good place for lotery and crypto tickets.

Paying bitcoin for lottery still not available in our country, it still not implemented here but I don't mind paying bitcoin for lottery, paying fiat for it is much better here in our country, it is just a small amount and lottery stall here in our country does not have their own internet connection. Our country needs to have your own internet connection because all internet connection here has password. LOL.

Bitcoin itself isn't full fledged legal in India as of yet, and with gambling being illegal almost all across the country. I dont think its possible to buy national lottery tickets here with bitcoin. Ive heard news that some forms of gambling will be legalized soon, to boost the economy as it is a booming business and if regulated properly, it would surely fetch a good tax returns for the country's GDP.
