Unfortunately, because my country is small, government policies here are very protectionist and the country is literally run by a clan of 5-60 old families who rule the roost and control all the money flow due to the investment wealth they built up over the years. So online gambling of any sort is strictly prohibited, which means no Bitcoin casinos or lotteries can function or be accessed. As soon as you try to click on a site, you get a government website pop up that talks a load of crap about responsible gaming. It's all a load of rubbish because the country is full of lottery and horse racing betting shops. The reason they don't want us to gamble online is that they want the money to stay in the country to and they want to collect the tax money lol from all the gambling which is done here. Also, they are building a string of casinos across the country to lure in more Tourist money.

I don't even know if online lotteries are a thing in our country.

We have this lottery and a lot of people buy a ticket from it. We can buy online but I don't know if one of the exchanges in our country let us buy online tickets from them.

If that is possible, I think I will be buying some tickets to test my luck.

I  cant buy almost anything legal with bitcoin in my country

It's the same in my country.
If the merchant has a way to accept the payment in bitcoin, than we can use bitcoin to buy anything.
In fact, this company, https://electrocoin.hr/ has created an app for merchants to sell their products and accept bitcoin payments.
Maybe soon people will be able to use this app to buy even national lottery tickets Smiley

Nah, bitcoin transaction here in my country is currently on the process, I mean only a few of the establishments are accepting bitcoin as payment. The lottery here in the Philippines are held by the government, it's for the charity, and it's impossible for them to use bitcoin since it's better to use the manual than a digital payment.

It will be on a hard process for the government if they will engage this on the lottery. Also, bitcoin on lottery is not suitable, the market is very unstable nowadays, how will they fix or manipulate the percentage that will go to charity, it's hard calculation tho.

I don't think I'd like to buy lottery tickets with Bitcoin, every dollar means fees that are maybe 3% of the total ticket price. I like Bitcoin but it's still not very suitable for small purchases like that!

And we don't need to when we can use it on dice, so that's okay!
^ I like this idea and definitely right, I don't use my bitcoin in the lottery in just small amount with a fee to spend. Unlike in the dice, you don't need just like one time having fee and you can roll and roll the dice. Well, for now, we can't use bitcoin to buy a lottery ticket in my country because there is no option that we can pay using bitcoin(maybe in online gambling site but I still won't). Nevertheless, looking forward to doing the time that we can use it to be more convenient and less hassle for us to fall in line but in very low fees, I guess.

Unfortunately not.

Even though our Central Bank recognizes Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in our country, our government doesn't know it or if they know it they don't care about it.

I am just curious to know if you can buy lottery tickets for your own national lottery in your country. I am not referring to all these scam gambling sites with supposed "Provably Fair" lottery systems.

I bought some lottery tickets online and I was only presented with the old traditional payment options and I figured it is time for us to approach these Lottery operators, to ask for a Bitcoin payment option.  Wink

If enough people ask for this, they just might consider giving us that option to pay with bitcoins.  Grin  What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?

We do not have the option to buy lottery tickets using crypto in Argentina. Perhaps it’s also worth applying for the addition of a payment method in BTC. This is a really good idea for the convenience of buying and promoting Bitcoin.

Do not use vanity adresses.I have had such expirience and strongly wouldn't recommend it. I consider lotteries as the best thing ever where you can invest money.

Have you ever won? I am not too young but I do not know even a single guy, who managed to get at least a hundred dollars in a lottery. Yes, we hear about these lucky guys, byt most of them stay anonymous, which let me think that a part of these "wins" is just a PR of a lottery. And no, lotteries are controlled by the state, and I doubt that you can use cryptocurrencies playing there.
Perhaps such people are bathed anonymous only because all these winnings are fictitious.  But I have the only hope that if a lottery is held by a state bank or other state structures, then they cannot be fraud, because the state can not so deceive its citizens.
You cant still be sure if the state doesn't make any anomalies inside specially on a known corrupt country but these situation are on least chances though.

Any winners specially on jackpot amounts would really be remain anonymous even the state would really cover up someones identity for security purposes which is really just normal to be done.

Answering on topic question, so far ive able to play or bet lottery locally by using up fiat and I don't see any possibilities that they would integrate crypto payment option in the future.

My country is full of criminals and mobs, so it often happens that the biggest laws are violated and the offender is found not guilty. So for bitcoin though it is illegal it can be used for buying because the state is one big banana.

In my country this is not possible, at least not by direct Bitcoin payment. But you can use Bitcoin debit card for payment.

In my country (or at least in my region) it is impossible to pay off bitcoin ANYWHERE. Either many do not know about its existence, or do not trust it enough to implement in the business. I want to believe that over time this situation will change, and in my country I will be able to buy at least something with the help of bitcoins.

honestly I'm not interested in gambling or anything like that. but, even though I don't like gambling, in my opinion this is a good idea because the national lottery has become commonplace for the wider community. and I also had the chance to think about this when I first learned about bitcoin. so, I think it is not difficult if we move together to approach related parties to realize this  Cheesy

The use of btc is neither legalised nor illegalised in my country though we have seen the central banks issuing a warning agaist the use of btc. Hence, no national agency is resdy to include btc as a mode of payment in my country. We hope it changes

In my country, I can not buy national lottery tickets with Bitcoin. Here Bitcoin is not yet so popular that the government will bite the exchange of Bitcoin. In my country, Bitcoin trading is illegal. Here the government of Bitcoin has not yet been legally accepted. So in my country, I can not buy national lottery tickets with Bitcoin.

In my country no, cryptocurrencies are banned in here but we still use it secretely. However i think this is likely to change in the near future when major countries liike USA, China, Russia approve the use of cryptocurrency. This would influence our government to also legalize it here.
