That is how gambling sites are. Most of them will not demand for KYC from you as long as you are losing, but if you win and want to withdraw some money, they will go through your account and tell you to do necessary things before you can withdraw and requesting for your identity through KYC can be among the requirements.

My topics originates from the comment of this user above in this thread where the OP is writing to seek about KYC stuff. The link to it will be at the end of the topic.

I know casinos do this. I have experienced it too. It is also in their T&C. My question for casino lovers is that instead of waiting until we win big and are asked to submit KYC documents, will you do it before the casino management or administrator request of it? Is there anyone who has gone ahead to fill out and submit their KYC on their account or by asking their customer support for it way before they even start make a request.

There are basically three types of sites that enforce KYC. The first type would not let the website be used without filling the KYC. The second type recommends you to fill the KYC but won't force it and may have limitation on numbers and amounts of bets for non-KYC users. In these type of sites, it would be better to pre-fill your KYC if you think you'll be crossing the limit or going to have a big win.
The third type of sites have no option to fill the KYC at all and they ask for KYC when you have a suspicious activity or a big win. Justification on such activities would be case based. Gambling industry is a very sensitive market where they need to keep a balance between user satisfaction and regulations. Established casinos won't look for problems unless they absolutely need to while newer scammy sites may give troubles just to confiscate some funds.
Well spoken, and personally, as much as I believe the three type of styles casinos either choose as their kyc process, I think the second you mentioned is outdated and no longer in use at the moment.

And I say this because, the majority of casinos I've come across only use either the first or the last method, which is, they either make the kyc verification form available at registration, and the gambler registering on that casino at that time must complete the kyc form and pass it before he or she is allowed to make any deposit to the casino and start playing, Stake and a host of other casinos fall in this category.
And on the other hand, other casino will simply allow new gamblers join the casino, deposit and start playing without kyc verification, they won't even make the KYC form available on the site, or accessible to the gambler.
The only time the casino will ask the gambler for kyc verification is when he or she wants to withdraw from the casino, and lots of casinos, specially the newer casinos fall under this category.

Yes, and I am one of such persons who have done that, which is make sure to pass kyc verification on a casino even before thinking of depositing and playing on that same casino.

For example, on Stake, I registered and the very day I registered was the day I decided to submit my kyc documents for verification, I got verified some hours later, this i did long before I ever thought of depositing on the casino and gambling there, and also joining their signature ad campaign on this forum.

I also verified my account on bitcasino, but yet have never deposited and played there, though I have plans of playing there someday.

The reason for this is because I hate the stress that comes with having to hurried pass kyc verification so that one's withdrawal request can be processed, so to avoid this, I verify my account ahead of time.

Waiting to have a big win before submitting your KYC could turn out to your own detriment, I think for casinos that require KYC, it's always best to do it much earlier before you eventually hit a big win because ordinarily they may not disturb you because they wouldn't want to drive their potential customer away.

If a casino sees that you get a big win they will want to use that as a means to compel you to getting your KYC done because there's the only way and time they can get you to doing that and probably their policies allow them to give you that privilege to play till you win a certain amount before they get you to doing KYC and the excuse sometimes have been to checkmate laundry of funds on their site which sometimes isn't logical enough except it was done at the very start.

So the conclusion is that it is better to do KYC at the beginning before gambling at the casino, because there are not a few incidents of people who won big wins then had to KYC but the data was rejected or had a long process, so before facing problems like it is better to do KYC at the beginning, of course in a place that is regulated and has a good license so that we feel safe at their casino, choosing the right casino is also a blessing in such cases.

Casinos are very strict with KYC and when money is now involved before the KYC, they turn to lioness that gave back and doesn't want you to take their baby from them when it's clearly your money is in their hands, they will ask you all sort of crazy things because it's expected of you to have done kyc before depositing money into the casino and do all the required. If you do it in the later date, you will get rejected no matter how many times you try.

Though, there is one casino in this particular forum then, it is called 1xbet, they had a lot of bad complaints about how they lock people accounts and reject kyc and no matter how you try, they will never allow you do KYC and get accepted so they can have your money and left you hanging. Many reports about them were similar and all DT made a conclusion and distrust them in the Forum because of that issue and they refused to clear the backlog of unaccepted accounts.

KYC is recommended in almost every casino. Some casino sites it is done before betting and on some sites it can be done without kyc. But I think it is better for the gambler to complete KYC to conduct smooth betting. If KYC is not a problem for a gambler who bets small amounts, KYC should be done for big gamblers who gamble a lot otherwise there may be problem. If KYC is shared in terms and conditions then it must be completed prior to gambling. Many people neglect this, but if you get a big win, there may be a problem with the money of that win. So it is better to do KYC to avoid such problems.

If you are dealing with shady or not known casinos then most likely you would really be experiencing such condition or situation on where you would definitely be begging for them to release your winnings.
Whereas, if you do deal up with reputable and credible sites or long time running into this market or crypto space then you can somewhat assure that you are really that in good hands but of course
having some KYC and would really be trying out to get your winnings then this wont be an issue and you would be confidently on doing that not unless if you have done something stupid then you would really
be definitely be having issues in regarding into this one. We do know that these businesses are regulated but this one only counts to those legit ones and be careful into those scams.

My honest opinion and experience with casinos during the process of KYC is a quick switch from bad to good, since I have started my gambling journey with a regular casino that doesn’t offer crypto deposits and withdrawals then moving totally to only crypto casinos. I have learned my lesson very well after the late KYC process which made me lose my deposit and winnings during that regular casino.

After moving to only crypto casinos, I haven’t really asked many times for KYC process as I have been dealing with small amounts. Most of the casinos I joined are the ones promoted and have a large community of players here, trusted, and never heard of someone getting scammed or refused their KYC for no reason.
I believe anyone who is a legitimate player, following the rules of the casino, he will never face any issue submitting KYC before or after winning big. Let’s take a moment and investigate about all the cases against most known casinos here in ten forum. Once the team explains the case of the accuser, we always find out that he isn’t the victim, and there are reasons behind that refusal.

Overall, I think it’s also good from all casinos to allow the submission of documents and verification of the account before making a deposit, so the player feel safe after winning big.

But we do still have some casino nowadays that despite of being that a licensed one or centralized but still they arent asking KYC first before you could be able to play on which this is really that a good thing.
There would really be those individuals who would really be that skeptical if ever this one would really be that become compulsory. We do know that when it comes to this then it would really be that so hard
to give out our information so easily even if we do say that we are dealing with legit sites. Example. Stake.. they are now asking for some verification too before you could be able to withdraw
on which it do really sucks with this kind of set up and this do really forced me to play on other platforms because i cant just bare up such condition or situation.

     -        For me, even if I immediately give kyc to a casino, even if I haven't won a huge amount because I won gambling, it's fine if I know that the casino I play in is reputable and known, such as stakes, Fortunejack, bcgames, and others known here on the forum platform that have existed in the crypto space for several years.

Of course, I can do that if I ever win the jackpot, even though I know it's impossible. I still prepare myself; even in my dreams, I think that I will win the jackpot, even if it's not true.
As long as the casino is one of the reputable casino, we will be fine to do KYC on their casino because they can take care of our important document. But if we do KYC in unknown casino that doesn't have reputation, that will be a risks to us because we don't know how the casino can take care of our document. When playing gambling, we will need to prepare from KYC because casino can asks that when we want to withdraw our money. We know that some casino can asks us to do KYC after we register on their site because that is their rule and we can not deny it.

But if we are not agrees to submits our document after we register, we can leave the casino and we don't have to do KYC. We can search for the other casino that will not be too strict with their rules and that casino allow us to do KYC when we want to withdraw our money. Some casino will have their limits for their members not to do KYC so we must gives attention to that and if we wins much money from some games, we need to do KYC to continue the withdrawal process.

Some platforms don't make it compulsory it's optional, you can choose not to give out all those details but I think you should avoid the platforms that makes it mandatory... it's risky to fund huge amounts of money in some betting platforms cause they might come up with complex issues along the line, I don't really understand their motive for doing this..a friend of mine told me that his 1x account was locked for no reason and he had about 100k in it, he couldn't withdraw the funds... it's very important to choose the sites you use carefully

No No No I generally do not agree to do KYC verification with any personal document in case of gambling. Because in my country gambling, crypto currency is totally illegal and these illegal transactions should face strict legal punishment. In my country Money Laundering Laws dealing with any crypto currency is definitely a jail sentence so I am not willing to KYC gambling sites with my personal documents no matter how big the bet is to win.

I don't think, KYC will stop me not to receive my money in the casino center, because that is the casino evidence to present for their gamblers to know that they are genuine in the casinos center and their payment is genuine.
It's always important to pass kyc before gambling in as much as you are a user of that casino then you must pass it before furthering ahead, this is the safest practice to gambling because immediately the casinos knows that you have a huge win there would be manipulation of your withdrawal so, the best is to pass it and then before gambling I know that lot of people are afraid to reveal their personal information to the gambling site but is already among their requirements.

Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big
As far as I know, if a user registers on one of the online gambling sites and if they complete the initial, second and third stages of KYC, as far as I know, if they win big there is no obstacle for them to make a withdrawal, except: they ignore the kyc process that has been established based on the rules.

It's okay to complete the initial KYC before winning big, but most of us don't do that, often ignore it, many of us do it after winning big while gambling, That's where the problem will occur, those who have the desire to place large bets should obey KYC first, after the KYC process is successful, consider placing a bet and be ready to win big.
There are many cases that occur in online gambling, users register more than one account, when they win big, problems occur because they are detected with the same ID, that's where the KYC process on the first account is not responded to, So if you want to bet large amounts, follow KYC and manage just one account, to make the KYC process easier.

If the KYC is part of the casino term and conditions, i will present my KYC before gambling because I know that gambling is fully legalized in the country and they have nothing to do with my KYC, but if gambling is illegal in my country, I will not submit my KYC before gambling.

Those casinos demanding KYC from gamblers that won in their center, they need it as evidence in case anything happen that will make the government to demand for the winner KYC, it will be easy for them to present.

I don't think, KYC will stop me not to receive my money in the casino center, because that is the casino evidence to present for their gamblers to know that they are genuine in the casinos center and their payment is genuine.

Before you make a bet it's important to try and verify the KYC so that if you don't have what they requested for you can try another betting site. But sometimes is like a lot of people don't have the whole time in earth to make a proper search for what type of online casinos they want, they just hear about the casino or they sees the casinos advert l on social media or anywhere they signed up and continue betting. What I have understand about few people complaining about some casino being scam because they can't withdraw is because what the casino requested to verify the account is what they don't have, and most importantly the gamblers might have won a lot of money but can't withdraw it. So it's very obvious that it's good to verify KYC before going ahead to fund the account to gamble.

The best thing to do is that before you choose on which gambling site or online casino will you play on better see or search if they are doing KYC, if yes then when will they implement the KYC, is it before you will deposit money or after, or when you will withdrawn money, because that is the common problem now in online casino, some platform implement KYC or requiring KYC if the customer will request for withdrawal and it will cause a problem to some customers, as a gambler you should be wary of what platform you will use because your money will be the one to be used so you should take precautions and measurement to keep sake your funds, in short find and use the platform that will require you KYC before you deposit or its much better to comply in KYC earlier to avoid inconvenience and to play peacefully.

Most of the licensed casino usually have KYC which doesn’t have any define timeframe on when they will implement it because they only need it if the user show some activity hat can be flagged for AMLA.

I play on many different casino and I usually do KYC when asked. So far only few casino ask me to do it after I initiate withdrawal while those stable and reputable casino usually doesn’t require KYC if you are just a regular player regardless of your PnL status.
