It will be a great opportunity if one can create a forum for this. The growth and popularity of cryptocurrency may be extremely in the future that even uneducated men and women in rural areas and villages in many developing countries of the world may love to be part of the crypto can the process to make crypto offline class work.

Y'all, I'm all for spreading the knowledge of crypto to the less privileged in developing nations. But you know what, I ain't so sure that in-person classes are the way to do it. The thing with face-to-face classes is they might not be as bang up-to-date as the interweb, which is forever changing and getting better. Not only that, it could be a tough ask to find teachers who live in the boondocks that know enough about crypto to educate others. Don't get me wrong though, I still believe offline classes could be a success with the right tactics. Maybe we could blend it up a bit, you know, with a mix of virtual and in-person sessions. Either way, we gotta ensure that the schooling of cryptocurrency is open to all.

Operating crypto without the use of Internet will be very useful thing to all of the individuals who desires to be a part of bitcoin but I don't think that it will be possible because in present age everything is possible because of Internet. Without Internet the popularity of bitcoin will not be possible as all the socials media are possible because of Internet.

Yes it is difficult for those people who lives in villages to be a part of bitcoin  because there is no such facilities of interest or those areas where Internet is available so the quality of Internet is so weak that it cannot operate the system quickly. The fact is that transaction of bitcoin and investment cannot be possible without Internet may be in future there originates some technologies where it can be possible but it will take longer time to happen.

Before now, just the rich have access to a computer for browsing and remembered going to cyber cafes to access the internet for browsing but when there was an improvement in technology and we have different types of browsing phones and apps life became easier. I came to know about the Bitcoin forum because I have access to the internet but with advancements in technology we can get to a stage using codes on our phone and following the instructions to get the Bitcoin wallet and buying and selling.

I suppose it depends highly on hardware. Many areas in the world don't have stable mobile networks, so there are not much possibilities for internet infrastructure, though fiat money is being used everywhere, and fiat money is actually produced using technologically advanced equipment (paper and paint should be of high quality, many picture details and watersigns need to be performed with high accuracy etc). The same is true for bank cards. So there is a way for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to become useful in areas with low network coverage: it may be something like mass produced e-wallets with displays (nowadays there are enough technogy resources to start mass production of these things, just in the way fiat money is produced). And, transactions go offline until there is a way to join global network for any of the devices in the area, then data is uploaded and added to the main blockchain.

And the truth is that Bitcoin will never exist without the internet. Mr. Satoshi can't make this great technology without the internet running through it. In fact, it was created because he knows that the internet will spread globally and it becomes useful to many lives.
Just think about it, we are in the Internet era and if it is gone, Bitcoin will go as well. And so all online businesses will say goodbye for this is not applicable anymore, even ATM machines - nobody use cards anymore in this case.

In the end it's still need an internet connection, it's impossible if Bitcoin transaction can be made without internet.

There's digital currencies that transact without using the internet. But in Bitcoin case, I think it wouldn't be applicable with its live changing of value from time to time which can't affect many of its transaction. With internet you can be updated to any news to Bitcoin. Its like converting currencies in fiat money, where they only rely on fixed value than to its live value. For example dollar, if they've seen its value in the morning to $1= 50PHP then that would be the value til evening. But if we based on the live value of it, it might became $1= 55PHP later on.

I think nowadays most people already have at least one cellphone and internet cost is cheap enough, many places already have free public wifi that you can use, but it might compromise your privacy and security.

Having connection to internet is cheap, load your cellular data cost like $1 here in my country. Which is good for like a week. The convenience the internet gives since everywhere you can do some trading and investing as long as you have internet.

If someone can't afford to buy a cellphone and internet, how it's possible they can buy Bitcoin?

The problem is that most Bitcoin transactions will need an internet connection to work, so this will be exactly difficult to do without any internet. This is also an advanced technology, which is why not all people are aware, interested in, and also understand Bitcoin. Like what happened to my parents, there are internet connections in their area, but once told about cryptocurrency, they don't understand whatever I tried to explain. The concept is too different from their reality And we cannot force them to understand this, because sometimes, there is better if they only know certain things. hahaha

There is the option to use Bitcoin with simple SMS messages that you can basically send in most areas. Those services are not secure however and should not be used for large amounts. With the growing amount of at least LTE/2G areas, this issue should sooner or later be an issue of the past. Also you could trade with paper wallets offline if you trust the other person.

This is the first time I am hearing this. Let come to think of it it on how possible could it be for you to run transactions without the internet. How on earth would the transaction be successful if we come to think of it again. I think op does not really know the potential of the internet to this generation. The internet is what enable us to connect to the world.
Without the internet we can't even interact on social or send messages to our friends from other region. If cryptocurrency does not need the internet for transactions to be executed then many things could go wrong and the system will be easy to manipulate.

There is some concept created years ago that allows the sending of Bitcoin offline and there's also an altcoin created that allow spending of cryptocurrency through text message but the concept never pushed through maybe lack of fund or the crypto community being more into the online aspect than offline because most users never join the conversation.
I don't really understand how a concept can work for sending or receiving Bitcoins offline while the blockchain network is totally online and cannot be used without internet access. Even the text message method doesn't sound realistic to me. How come to a text message that is sent over a mobile network can reach the blockchain and make a transaction from it?

The concepts most probably didn't work or succeed and that's why they were never announced or used publicly or they could at least get some popularity if they were viable solutions. Cryptocurrencies simply cannot work without the internet because they are digital, simple as that.
I know it is hard to believe that some project was once created that will allow sending of Bitcoin transactions offline luckily did some search and i find the project it's called the Kryptoradio "project ended in December 2014 but the project is not entirely forgotten in the last year and a half. The project raised huge audience and there has been some serious commercial interest but nothing I am really interested in because they would destroy the original idea of Kryptoradio – distributing the Bitcoin ledger autonomously without Internet connectivity." Here is another concept for sending Bitcoin without the internet.
For the project that allows sending of crypto in form of text messages, it is something that tried myself years ago but i don't remember the coin name.

Sending Bitcoin is one thing and confirming transactions is another thing.  It is still a huge question whether it is possible to confirm Bitcoin transaction without the use of internet.  Satellite internet already implies its name, it still works as internet.

Internet as taken from its definition:

Quote
a global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized communication protocols.

so anything that functions this way can be called an internet.  And bitcoin can't be confirmed and communicated to validate transactions without the use of the internet.  So I think that confirmation of the transaction of cryptocurrency is impossible without the internet, so I think it is one of the conditions for cryptocurrency to get established worldwide.

No matter how we try to explain things, it will still not count as a successful transaction without internet service. I saw a post earlier this month or last on this forum regarding a means of transferring bitcoin using SMS, which I was totally against because that pattern can only be possible if it operates under a centralized platform and will later record or execute the transaction online with the help of the internet. It's impossible to make Bitcoin transactions offline because the transaction being recorded on the blockchain requires the internet, and a transaction can only be said to be completed if it has been recorded.
You are right because This is super dumb idea by send Btc Through sms lol 😂😆
I don't know if Internet is Necessary for crypto or not but Maybe if there was no any Internet than maybe No any kind of crypto to be born.
We are living in an internet World where we can download Movie in a single minute because of fastest internet called 5G internet. So Internet and Blockchain technology are co related with Each other.

It's not exactly a stupid idea, but it also doesn't bring any benefit as it ultimately requires an internet connection to complete the transaction. But why do we think about this, it can be said the internet is an integral part of our world, without it, many things wouldn't work, and we'd be back to the primeval times, let alone whether or not cryptocurrencies existed. The Internet is as important as water in our modern life.
I agree that the idea is not stupid, for we are all open to things and technology that will make things better. But these ideas to me are just something I can't stop imagining how it's going to be a double task and take lots of resources to develop something whose main purpose is to avoid the use of the internet or, shall I say, to help perform transactions by those who are not connected to the internet. But at the end of the day, you will still need the help of the internet to broadcast your transaction online, where it will be confirmed by miners and recorded on the blockchain.

So what's the point of going through all this stress again when you can just use the same old method? Unless we are ready for centralized transactions, which can be carried out within a platform just by using the user's mobile number or which can be presented as pay ID, that's the only way I see this kind of transaction being successful without an internet connection.

IIRC, there have been a topic that's made about this before. Speculations have been said like electromagnetic waves could be an alternative of it if it's just about the transfer.

But with confirmation, it cannot be replaced as it really needs to be connected in the internet. Also, it won't be a problem in the future about connectivity since there have been companies that offers satellite connection which will make almost everyone connected to the web.

Aside from EM waves, there can be some ways to make use of bluetooth, infrared, radio waves and other of the same thing that has frequencies and can be reinvented for connections and transfers.

These people you are talking about, are they illiterate? Rural areas and villages now have schools, and if education is ongoing in such areas then they can be thought about Bitcoin and crypto, yes bitcoin can be taught offline, many seminars have been held in different parts of the world and you don't need an internet connection to make this work.

If we are to talk about Bitcoin transactions offline, well that's not going to work because to send your Bitcoin into another wallet you will need an internet connection

Indeed have concept with sending or receiving cryptocurrency fund without access internet how possibility for trader or investor selling their fund and not ability access to exchange market. I think impossible cryptocurrency worth without internet because every wallet access actually with hardware wallet need synchronize and have to access with fast internet speed.

I don't know about how concept received and sending bitcoin offline because every transaction need to check on blockchain confirmation and take internet access, however not worth for investor or trader if bitcoin offline concept because impossible for trading, investing and selling our assets when price dump or pump. Cryptocurrency without have internet access not working yet I think although have new ideas and concept created later about Bitcoin offline transaction.
until its development so far bitcoin is very dependent on the internet network, so transfers cannot be made without the internet. but we don't know whether in later development it can be done offline, but according to my logic it seems difficult to happen, considering that we can find out price movements, namely online

Internet is like a basic need now these days considering how almost what most of the things we do everyday now requires one and it is not digitalized and hell, I am not surprised that one day "desktop computer" are even going to be basic needs the same way as how smartphones are like it now these days.

That's one of the weakness of crypto though, the internet. Though considering how easy for most of us can access the internet even with the limited data now these days. It is not that big of a deal.
