B4zz4, thanks for the thoughtful reply explaining your side of things.  If the team wants its privacy for the time being then that's very understandable.  And it's nice to talk about different ideas and criticisms concerning CannabisCoin to help it improve.  So please, please do not take them negatively especially if it's coming from me.

Crazy to think of the response you got is by the person who runs this coin . Why does anyone support this coin holyballz!

I'm very sorry if my posts came across as being impatient.  But my point is being honest and transparent to your supporters is a better way to go.  It makes us feel we're included.

Also...  Yeah, you're right.  I have no idea who exactly the people behind CannabisCoin are and their credentials.  Sorry for posting that in that context.  Didn't mean it that way, and didn't mean any harm.

In the OP it mentioned that the CannabisCoin team is comprised of

Quote
DeltaNine -Core
Peter Bushnell -Core
Esotericizm -Core
Heisenberg -Core
B4zz4 -Core
PCMerc 'Pool Guy' -Contrib
loljosh -Contrib
The Wizard -Contrib
Tulsene -Contrib

I would sure like to know the team better.  It would be nice to have a short bio of each in the OP or at cannabiscoin.net.  I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one interested.

Thanks.

tokeweed, you are perhaps seriously disadvantaged because you have not followed along over the past 15 months or so and 500 pages over two forum threads is too much background reading.

Long-time followers know that I'm an Aussie in Queensland, which may help you understand the possibly strange hours of my posting responses on here.

Whether it's the case or not you appear to be very crypto-focused, wanting to promote the coin and push the value, hurry, hurry, hurry - which is fine for coin speculators but of no particular interest here. DeltaNine and the team are instead focused on getting high quality mmj to patients for the best possible price and CannabisCoin exists to facilitate that, not the other way around. One reason information is only released ex post facto is to minimize the possibility of coin "pumping".

CANN will likely appreciate significantly in value once regular medicine releases are made into the CANNdy inventory. Until that time it is up to individual dispensaries whether they choose to contribute product into that inventory and honor the peg. In due course it is quite possible that printable pamphlet images will be released so that supporters and patients may approach dispensaries with the Yes We CANN model and see if they wish to join too. I have no idea how far that has progressed through review and/or legal assessment and it is a small side project that could be failed-out for any number of reasons.

I can not and will not speak for the rest of the team but I will not be posting a bio or advertizing myself in any way from the land of "if there isn't a law against that there soon will be". Online is the realm of the nom de plume (or should that be "nom de guerre"?) and I strongly doubt that your parents named you "tokeweed". What difference does it make? CANNdy clones will be distributed or they will not. CANNdy will be donated into inventory or it will not. CannabisCoin will prosper or it will not depending on the availability of CANNdy over the next few years.

Oh Tokeweed, btw

regarding your sketchy suggestion about having the team meet with unknown patients for trials.. It appears you are just randomly finding people.  Regardless, the CANN team does not do "street meet's" or anything like that especially without pre-screening or direct referrals from dispensaries.  This isn't a make shift trial.  All professional, legal, and legitimate.  So the answer is NO!

You could have said that earlier.  And it's not a problem.

Thanks.

Tokeweed, This is a community coin remember?  Most have done their part with or without recognition.  If you have read thru this forum you would have noticed the team has said they do not want focused attention to themselves as individuals but rather as a community.  If you would like to start with introductions, Why don't you tell all of us who you are and what your background is, and what you can do to help the community.  Thanks  Wink

You got it backwards.  It should be the other way around.  I think knowing the people behind the project is good in the long run.  Sooner or later when CannabisCoin has had some success it is inevitable.

And please do not take all the discussions and criticisms we've had badly.  Instead turn it to good and use it to improve CannabisCoin.

Come to think of it.  Knowing the CannabisCoin team is essential.  Maybe we should have something like this: https://www.blockstream.com/team/ at cannabiscoin.net?

What do you guys think?

Your trying to expose the privacy of individuals at this point.  From your demeanor and impatience , we are all starting to realize what you appear to be doing.  Its evident and childish to say the least.  I maybe reading this wrong but you have no respect and I am calling you out as a fake supporter.  I'm here to help keep the place clean of spam and trash.  You are starting to fall into both categories Tokeweed.  Like it or leave it.

Just wow...  I'm sorry for whatever I did to make you feel that way.  All I'm trying to do is to get more info and help the project somehow.

I admit that I seem to be impatient at times.  But asking for a Team CannabisCoin bio page, like what the other projects are doing, for the website and being called as having no respect for it is a bit too much.

edit:  And to my defense, I got the idea of a Team CannabisCoin bio page from B4zz4's post:

You are a newcomer to CannabisCoin, you have no idea about the team behind it and no clue what it has done to bring the Yes We CANN movement this far in such a short time.

If you do not like DeltaNine's driving you might be happier on a different bus.

You are very welcome to stay of course but you will need to get used to things happening at bureaucratic pace.

I realized he was right and that there's maybe a need to know more about the team behind the project and their achievements, especially for newcomers.

The fact here is that whether or not patients can get their meds today, they know that we are here working for them.  We are on their side and will continue to have purpose for what we do!

All I can think of is: Rome wasn't built in a day you guys...have faith and determination.

Exactly.  There's nothing to fear with transparency and honesty.  Just like I said...  If 1 CANN isn't backed by a gram of CANNdy today, doesn't mean it will stay that way.

But again, let's keep things honest.

tokeweed, you are in too much of a hurry for marijuana enterprises. You are looking for things to be done at "crypto speed" and that is never gong to happen.

I saw your post on how much it "sucked" to simply wait and thank you if it was you that took that down but if you want something to do with anything associated with medical marijuana you are going to have to get used to lots of waiting. Waiting on bureaucracy and incessant inspections, waiting on tests, waiting on equipment, waiting on crops, waiting on curing and more tests.

While a Phoenix dispensary is a proposal under investigation there is no CannabisCoin dispensary at present, which makes your request for the inclusion of the three people you propose in a limited trial legally tedious. CANNdy can't be simply handed out, Prop. 203 has very tight constraints.

There is no likelihood of anyone putting up a proposal here today and getting a reply tomorrow - it's not like we retain in-house counsel and the legislation is so new and legally untested there is really no guiding case law to follow. Every move must be carefully examined to ensure it remains in compliance. Before decisions are made it might literally take weeks to months for proposals or suggestions to be examined, referred for legal opinion or perhaps clarification from Arizona Department of Health Services, if necessary.

While I'm about it comments like this are not appreciated:

Been pushing CannabisCoin.  I like what they're trying to achieve.  Needs a good team behind it tho...

I only recently started dabbing into crypto after working with the team locally and learned about it.  After reading about moms of bitcoin etc and other women in the industry like Hayden etc.  I started to like it more.  Its sad to say that most crypto is pnd with no real value and no long term vision.  The team here is tasked with exponential to-do's that it amazes me how people can maintain the drive.  But this team is dedicated. Just blabin yall!  My opinions.  -H

Exactly. It's good that you're aware of the BS in crypto.  That's why I'm determined to keep things honest and give the facts to everyone who reads this thread.  We do not want people thinking that the devs are liars and that this is just another P&D scam.

So if 1 CANN isn't pegged to a gram of CANNdy right now, let's tell them.  I mean so what?  It isn't like it's gonna be backed by nothing in the long run right?

If you're confident, like I am that D9 can follow through then there's nothing to fear.
