I've been buying around $20-60 of CANN and will continue to invest weekly into this project.

Been a while since I had my R9 290 mining away at the 420 blocks! It has been nice to watch it grow.

Now to watch it explode! Yes We CANN!

Honestly the core wallet functions as intended and doesn't need to be changed.

IMHO However, the Android wallet could be improved upon with coding and syncing as it tends to crash frequently while updating and there is maybe 3 people connected at a time

You're right, the initial Android sync takes way too long and it's a problem already on the books guys. We'll get to it Smiley

So that's it?  No trying to improve the software from your end?

Settle down, still haven't even got 'doze 7 finished updating yet, so can't try to replicate your problem.

And no, tweaking the wallet is not a priority at this time.

Thanks.  Really appreciate it...  Anyway, have to go to dinner then out.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend guys!

Hmm... I've configured virtualbox down to a single processor & 2Gb of RAM making 'doze 7 unbearably slow to try to use & so far I haven't managed to keep the wallet splash screen for a full 60 seconds.

How large is your debug.log file? - access it by hitting the Start button & typing (or pasting) %AppData%\Roaming\CannabisCoin into the search box, then click the offered link to get to \Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\CannabisCoin. If you right-click debug.log Windows should offer to compress the file (or add it to archive or some such thing). If the resultant zip file is less than 2Mb you should have no trouble emailing it to [email protected] (or @gmail.com, either will reach me). If 'doze can't compress the log sufficiently or your email service doesn't allow reasonable-sized attachments could you please upload it to a free file sharing site and send a link instead?

I'll try some more tomorrow to see if I can replicate your problem but your logs will probably be the quickest way to find where the wallet wanders off looking for sputnik, or whatever it is doing for the additional time.

Also, as soon as the splash screen clears could you open the wallet debug window and in the console type getconnectioncount and press enter, that will tell us how many connections you have at successful start.

I'll email you all the needed log files asap.  Thanks, I really appreciate the help.

Do you realize you are cycling faster James? Roll Eyes

You have no idea who claimed what from the initial scrypt mining phase or when they did so, anymore than you know who did the initial mining, whether any was done by or for ∆9 or anything else for that matter. What you have is block chain-recorded transactions indicating some of the coins generated to facilitate the change of algorithms ended up on BitTrex (major surprise!) and were likely sold when CANN prices were absurdly high last October (even bigger surprise!!). Sounds like an intelligent decision by the owner at that time.

Apparently everyone but you would be perfectly happy had ∆9 raised some capital in that manner although by his own statement he did not. More power to whoever took advantage of prematurely high prices. Just think James, it could have been ... me.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

At this rate you'll desperately drag out the old Max_Money chestnut by tomorrow Cheesy

Jamesonotc and subcreative have their own threads including their abandoned coin.  They have been banned by the cannabis community and the crypto community as a whole.  All of his posts will be removed from this thread.

James ... everybody is well informed of the pre-mine. You're the only one who got a problem with that. If the coin became successfull I think D9 will have earned that "pay". I don't think he want to make qucik money using this coin or else he would  already have sold the pre-mine. I think cann will be a huge project when everything will be set up correctly  but crypto is only a small part.
btw ... satoshi nakamoto mined around 1 million BTC at start Wink

I don't know about the windows wallet taking a while to boot up, as it is set to boot with Windows but the android wallet took 7 days - that's right, an entire week (almost) - before it finally synced.
That's on a brand new ZTE Blade S6, no other apps installed.
It seems to sync fine for a while and then just freeze, had to be force stopped and then manually restarted.
It does work now, but it really isn't suitable for the "I-want-it-all-now" generation currently inhabiting crypto.
It also really isn't suitable as it stand for mass adoption either, too difficult and time-consuming for the man on the Clapham omnibus.

Perhaps an updated bootstrap for the Android wallet would help?

Sorry ASICrefugee, your post got overlooked there for a bit.

I've already booked a review & possible update for Android for that very reason. Will see if I can stir that particular possum this week.

It is on the books though.

Cheers from the land down-under.

Cool man, thanks for the update.
I know it won't be a priority, what with all the rest of the stuff you guys have going on just now, but it IS the sort of thing that needs to be either simplified (bootstrap) or more nodes added to speed up the process.
Mass market adoption is coming and the easier we make it for non-crypto punters to use and spend CannabisCoin the better.

On a separate note, perhaps http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33628363 shows the first green shoots of change.

Cheers, from a very cold and wet Scotland Smiley

Me and my room mate where having the same problem of the unexpected freezing while updating the chain. It wasn't a huge problem, just more of a nuisance than anything. Also if possible i am willing to donate one of my servers for network purposes, however its only an old PE2650 but having more nodes as suggested could help the "i-want-it-now's" as ASICrefugee cleverly put it Wink

I don't mean the syncing.  When I start the wallet it takes a good 3 minutes before the wallet actually starts.

Wow, a full 3 minutes?? ....where's my pitch-fork and lynch mob?

Maybe it's the wallet of all the weed-coins, but I don't think CANN's wallet is any slower that the others I have.

Yea it takes me about the same amount of time, even when i had a better cpu before i had to downgrade.
