The old wallet is no longer needed and you can delete the roaming folder (including old wallet.dat) before starting the new chain.
If deleted old wallet.dat that mean you've lost all coin, right ?
I don't know why Dev team decide to reset old chain.
Our dev team already shown that they can reset everything and everytime they want - again and again.
Old Chain, This new chain , and The next Chain ...
