I think it is a good idea but if think those people who doesn't know what is bitcoin and don't even know how it works, we can't legalized it and I think it is hard to make because of their own currency.
Now in my country, people are moving to online mobile banking instead of cash. I think the future will not use cash anymore and replace it with crypto.

It is a good idea, if the society does not have cash, we only use the digital currency  managed by the goverments, the society will reduce the plunder situation, .. all the transactions are recorded and will be no cheating in the business. I think it is very difficult to do this because many people still do not know how to use smart phones and other technologies.
What you are talking about is precisely what bitcoin is trying to avoid, it is true that everything is recorded in the blockchain, but you are not required to reveal your identity if you do not want, and you can use bitcoin as a way to move your money without having to go through the fiat system, this is why governments are against it since bitcoin reduces the control they have over their citizens.

no, why the government forbids bitcoin? , government identifies bitcoin can be a scam and most convenient place for money laundering. if government has problems with remittances, how with fastpay, paypal or nettelar? . this is not a matter bitcoin transactions with fiat money, but bitcoin and cryptocurrency can be used for unnecessary criminal acts . and possibly some employees government use cryptocurrency for money laundering?

Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink
It is very possible for society to no longer use its cash. Now, in countries like China, it is common to use virtual currency as the currency for common commodities. Bitcoin It is the currency that dominates the world  time Not for long

It is very difficult for the countries with the larger population and which are developing ones because their rural ares now also do not receive proper electricity or do not have better infrastructure like roads, highways etc. thus you can imagine that going cashless is just a dream and not at all feasible for years to come as people do not get their basic needs to live.

Making a cashless society is the long-term goal of every country to make it's country cashless and paperless, maybe bitcoin help them to achieve this goal faster as it has everything if they allow it's existence as a currency. If they are able to control its anonymous transactions, which they can, then bitcoin could be the future currency of the world and not only for a particular country.
Maybe it will take a decade for that goal or mission to become cashless society to happen, I hope that bitcoin will be the way for the cashless society to become possible and hope that we are still alive when it happens where every transaction requires technology it is so high tech and can't wait for that to happen.
Do we really need to focus on making our country a cashless society? That we need to dedicate a decade of adoption in order to have a full transition to it? Because in my perspective I don't think so there are still many issues that a government need to answer and be solved in order for us to take care other less important things such as these one. There are still a lot of countries who have many citizens who are earning less than what they need for their family to have a good and sustainable life, shouldn't it be the first thing we need to focus on first?

It convenient but it will affect a lot of businesses as well. one it is banking and other businesses pertain to money management.
If the cashless society will be embraced by the government the banking business will be dissolves.
No need to hide your money in the bank just save it a nano wallet or any other wallets.

But there is another, sinister and deep motive in order to force people to give up cash. The non-cash economy allows the government to fully control your money in the bank. The government can introduce a negative interest rate, like in Japan, and in this way receive money from accounts without any problems.
In modern society it is almost impossible to exist and function without a bank account or credit card. But in the non-cash community you are completely financially rejected - thrown to the mercy of fate, as a non-citizen without a personality.

It will return to the era of no money Grin. Everything in circulations are just objects. Changing food for clothing or clothing for food. But i think that could be hard. So i think people will think o ways to produce something that would represent value like coins or gold or whatever. If they want something in the store they will wxchange it for something. But i know it is nit what you meant. Cashless shoppings and restaurants also are on trend because of credit cards or visa cards.

A society without cash. All we do is be dependent on cards, virtual ids and internet. This would be a technologically inspired motif. Wherein we can actually notice the rise of technology and the things to buy doesn't need physical money. You don't need to go out to buy. This would be amazing.

Yes. A cashless society would change the world for the better. You won't need to carry with physical cash, or cards with you, as digital money can be stored in virtually any device or storage medium. This makes it a convenient way to buy stuff at stores without hassles. Of course, it would take some time for people to get used to cashless payments, but I believe that it shouldn't take long before they realize the true potential of cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.

The same way, people use cards to buy stuff in stores, it will be with cryptocurrencies where they would only carry with their smartphone or tablet device containing "x" amount of a specific cryptocurrency.

Most recently, governments have paid attention to blockchain technology, and some central banks have started to test their own digital currency solutions. Once it becomes a reality in the mainstream world, then we might see a cashless society where you can pay to anyone anywhere in the world using your country's digital fiat currency. That way, costs would be reduced and there would be no need to print money ever again. Just my opinion. Smiley

Yea keeping something on device can be good thing. We all have smart phones and this can be good for anyone to take this seriosly, but most important is to government to accept this and to try to implement this technology in every day usage.

This could be good for all if this someday comes to life, and like you said printing for fiat wont be necessary anymore we would keep green enviroment.

Since we are now in millennial time, I agree with cashless society cause it is very much secure not to bring cash especially robbers are rampant so we are not giving them motive to do criminal act.

Cashless society requires a universal internet connection. But not all countries can afford that. In my country, only some certain area there is a wifi. Its not centralized compare to other coutry. We can be online in a certain areas or private areas. Not all can afford with internet connection. I think the cashless society is going to be way far. Hopefully in some other countries like my country the internet connection will be centralized. Like for example if we go out in the house we dont have internet connection. We use data connection through our smartphones. It is going to be costly.
- No cash, we will use digital currency, it will require some technology to connect and not all places can also have this connection, that would be a huge inconvenience for many people, this technology is quite complex and brings trouble to people with little use and never use the internet. Many people have used cash as a habit in the long run, they will not accept this, even they will oppose the government if the government removes cash, pressure from the crowd will create many struggles, the society will not be peaceful, the government will not like this, and so I think they will not let the cashless society appear

Yes it would be very diificult because people are used with cash paper or paper money. Cashless society requires internet connection. As i said not all counties has a centralized internet connection. So then cashless society will not work on a third world country. It requires a lot in a digital world. I guess it will create problem. If maybe all countries are progressive this would be easy. You can all do everything online. But as i said this way too far to happen yet. But then again we hope for the best for everybody.

This will definitely happen as its all about cost, and this is the next step to reducing costs. We just need to reduce the costs of running a blockchain. Once that happens, we will see mass adoption I believe.

I think this is possible in a couple of decades...technology is developing and soon will become uncomfortable using cash...perhaps it will be a cryptocurrency or something else, but for sure it will be a cashless payment

Anthing is possible in few or several decades from now. Many seen something like this in many SF movies and we see that it look very easy on many thing, but reality can be very hard and believe that no matter now much we want for this to happen that many more will need for cashless society.

This may be good concept but it have so many flow and no one is saying that crypto will be used is just idea on piece of paper.
