Blockchain Just Entered The Real World
December 08, 2017, 01:31:53 PM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink

I think eventually cashless society will happen if and only if the countries would adopt the digital currencies that circulates around the world and that would be a lot more convenient to do transaction in a very fast and easy way.
But, it does not mean the government will use the cryptocurrency to replace the current FIAT system. You have to know the government can apply the technology of blockchain to develop their currency, but it will not call as a crypto currency, it is digital currency.

There will be number of people even at that time who will be using paper money. Paper money is the most conventional money and people are using it since a very long time. There is no way that we can experience a cashless society no matter what the conditions and circumstances we go through. There are chances that usage of paper money might reduce due to crypto currency but even then there will be use of paper money in the society.

CASHLESS society? uhmmmm maybe in the near future it will be a cashless society where you can buy a food or anything you need thrue credit cards or banking maybe in near future they will invent a easy transaction to bought its will happen soon !

Actually it is already happening, the buying of food and anything using credit cards and any cards is happening.  As to the use of bitcoin for almost every transaction, it is a bit hard because of the technicalities and other issues.  lt needs budget and studies to fully enforce this type of system.  Hopefully when the good and acurate time came, we will be able to experience using bitcoin.

Many preconditions for cashless society have already been fulfilled but still it's not easy to transfer our finances just like that. Cashless society would make many things much easier but I think it's in human nature to love the cash and feel it in your hands so many of us wouldn't like to give up the cash.
Yes aside from that we must consider other people also, not everyone was engage to technology which will be use in the cashless society especially for those old peoples who didnt know to used it. Also not all people are interested to use cryptocurrency. But on some point it was good especially when it comes to transaction to your friends or family who is far away from you through the use of online wallet.

One major financial problems we have in all our society is criminality and greedy. Bitcoin and others crytocurrency can resolve this problem by using this great technology to reduce crime and criminality. Cashless society do reduce physical attach on attempt to get fiat from the owner.
Cashless society will be more controlled by the government. It's bad. If people would speak out against the government is enough to turn off the Internet and people will not be able to even buy food. The more non-cash the greater the demand will be for gold.
Yes, cashless society somehow not a good idea because you will be limited, you have things to be consider as well, the internet connection, the person you ll be transact with and other things. On the other hand its good because it will be easy to monitor because you will have your records on every payment that you will do. It is also less hassle especially when you are far to your family and you want to give money to them you can send it through online.

It is a good idea, if the society does not have cash, we only use the digital currency  managed by the goverments, the society will reduce the plunder situation, .. all the transactions are recorded and will be no cheating in the business. I think it is very difficult to do this because many people still do not know how to use smart phones and other technologies.

Cashless society is possible whereas all the governments in the world should have to take a serious measure to activate in their every territory digital support for the benefit of their country people as well as to the country's development.

This will be the future of the currency, paying bills without taking anything on your physical wallet instead tapping or sending via technology your bills. Isn't amazing? . This is possible since the popularity of bitcoin is gaining trust for people and for country but there is a downside here. It doesn't mean it can be worth since it will replace the fiat, what if the technology has been shut down and there's no physical money, i guess this will not happen.

Exactly, everything has  positive and negative effects, positive side easy acces to everything, like in banks, no need to fall in line just to get cash where it can take more of your time, incase of emergencies in sending allowances to your family they can get cash or even just transfer currency anywhere, negative side sometimes it tooks long to confirm for you to have the crypto currency/token.

If this happens, the difference between the social classes will also be greater. How can a poor man afford such a luxury?

That’s very true, I don’t think having a cashless society will be quite a good thing. If you want to do something, do it in a way it will be in favor of everybody, because there are people who don’t have a computer or a smart mobile phone, which means if you turn everything to cashless, the cash they have in their hand will become totally useless, and there would be no way they can get access to using digital money.
- I agree with you, a cashless society would be a terrible society because first, it is quite inconvenient for all of us, I do not think we just want to eat a cake and drink a glass of juice, we will need to use bank cards, this is quite silly and waste of time, while if we have cash, things will be much simpler. In addition, not everyone has bank cards, many people in some countries still do not know the bank, and when cash becomes digital currency, I believe hackers will easily attack and steal our money. Although the society is developing, modernizing but cash is still an indispensable element, it is still very convenient and accepted everywhere in the world, we still need it.

Already society heading towards casheless transaction, but to achieve 100per casheless transaction is not possible, there are lot of advantages by using this method that reduces corruption, black money. Use of cryptocurrency, online transaction can make casheless society to some extent.

Cashless modern society implies, almost everything is accomplished electronically. For now its not achievable, but may possibly be in the future. Its dangerous being aware of that there are heaps of hackers close to you. Snatchers and robbers will lower but on the internet hackers might increase

When we talk about cashless society we think about convenience. And what will come up to our minds is using bitcoin. It very convenient indeed. Hassle free and very secured. We just have to store our earned bitcoin in our wallet with our gadget handy. If we transact business or buying things these would be very easy since we are using  bitcoin in our wallet. No threat for others to steal. And also there is no need to bring bulky or heavy amount of money.

If you can imagine yourself buying a fish in the market or waving at a bus to ride going to somewhere but takes you 3minutes to transact bitcoin transfer to the driver before getting a seat, that would be so crazy, not to mention the limited internet access from your location. This takes a lot of thinking before implementing the cashless trading. Possible but not so soon to become a reality.

By forcing the entire population to adopt digital money, there is the possibility of new technologies and innovative companies developing. In Somalia, for example, banks are precarious and walking with bills and coins is risky because of assaults by extremist militants.

As a result, smartphone payment services have become popular and 40% of adult’s transfer money through cell phones. BTC is a huge tool to step toward the digital world and people will try to acquire BTC and also use it and become digital due to its ever-increasing value

To be honest in every country there is doubt and risk with using at the moment any digital currency, cuz there are is constant rise in price. Also there is huge risk that some banks if this comes to use globally dont have amount for users that have many bitcoin for example if you have 1000 bitcoins imagine how much bank would need to pay you.

I actually saved money when I started using cash. I know how much I need & what I can spend. I don't want to those silly rewards. I will be that one old man who still uses cash in 2060.  Grin
