Taking a ride in a cruise is very expensive to be honest. Only the rich people can afford it. Atleast this happens in my country. Moreover many people have fear in travelling through the ships, hence they avoid transportation through this also. As far as I have read from various resources, there is no much difference between a land based casino and casino present in a cruise. Moreover as these people gamble for recreational purpose only, hence for them the payouts and rate doesn’t matter. Regarding the operational hours, then it varies from cruise to cruise. Some operates for 24/7 also.

I can assume that since the rich make up the bulk of the passengers, the casino on the ship is one of the main sources of income for cruise organizers. And this is not only because the passengers turn out to be inveterate players, but also because, as I heard, the main problem of cruising is boredom - the impressions of the ship pass in a couple of days and then everything is very boring. Accordingly, people are looking for more interesting entertainment.

Good point, I do agree that having casino on-board is one attraction by the cruise ships because they know that their rich patrons are going to look at it and then play with their money and we all know that casinos has the house edge.

And usually if we ride on cruise ships, its like weeks that you are in the middle of the ocean and so nothing to do but to entertain yourself and one way is thru playing casinos and burning money.

these days I saw some very bad news about ships, which only reinforced my idea that I should avoid using this type of transport, looking at the ship, when it is at sea it runs a great risk, its weight is very great, which means that if it has a problem it will sink and few people will survive, it is a painful death, that's because people keep watching the ship sinking and can't do anything to save themselves, so I honestly wouldn't use a ship even if they told me they had it with me, games of bad luck during the entire trip, for someone like me who doesn't know how to swim, the situation is even more serious

now speaking in terms of the casino, I doubt very much that there would be many people playing every day because when people buy tickets for trips of this type they go with clear objectives: to relax, have fun, so they will not stop having fun to play in a casino, it is something very simple, but that does not mean that you cannot put a casino on the ship, the ship owner when putting a casino on the ship has to be aware that there will not be many customers in the casino

What kind of experience you are expecting? The cruise ship casino and the normal land casinos are the same, but the cruise ship one sounds like the luxury type, I mean thats not going to be for the small men out there.

I have not been on one myself and I don't feel like experiencing one because I hate the sea, I lost two of my friends to a ship incident years ago, I mean they are my best friends at the time in school, now I am scared of traveling or cruising by the sea, it's not going to happen I believe.

Ship or land, you should still play responsibly, gambling on the sea won't guarantee you some money more than gambling on the land anyway.

Too bad I'll probably never get to attend such an event. It would be great to walk the deck of a Pacific liner-casino and experience this wonderful atmosphere.

After the organization of a separate gambling zone in my country, I miss even the usual land-based casinos, as I have to play only online. I can't even imagine how I can get out of this daily hustle and bustle and cross thousands of kilometers to sit at a one-armed bandit or other slot machine.

One of the most pleasurable reservations and comfortable transportation is generally on the ship; believe me when I say, it's worth every penny spent on these movements. Casino on a cruise ship, considered one of the most expensive bookings in my country, is only available to the elite class. There is no need to raise an alarm for those who have apprehension of water-based transportation; not everyone is frightened; in fact, most influential men prefer to travel this way rather than booking flights with airlines because it is cost-effective with enough space to engage in recreational activities and has several additional features.
Traveling by cruise ship is really expensive and it is usually reserved for the influential people. Prices are usually higher even when books are with travel shipping companies, as they also land first. Although expensive, similar tours can be booked online with other companies at better prices, but the landing cruises allow one to enjoy a lot of service and entertainment while one relaxes with a view of the ocean. But this is because these cruises have extensive itineraries that stop at various ports so that travelers can enjoy the coastal towns.

I think casinos on cruise ships are a luxury item because cruises are not available to everyone and only people with a lot of money can get on them. And again, to play gambling on cruise ships, we have to bring a lot of money because maybe the costs will be more expensive than in land casinos. But I prefer land casinos or online casinos because it doesn't require a lot of money to play gambling and I only prepare the amount of money I can afford to start playing gambling. Maybe I can only dream of going on a cruise ship and if that comes true, I don't want to gamble on a cruise ship.

And I think that's why it is called cruise ship in the first place, Here are some numbers:

Quote
How much does a one-week cruise cost?
A cruise can cost anywhere from about $171 per person for a four-night Bahamas cruise to up to $94,999 per person for a 154-night world cruise and anywhere in between. Cruise fares vary based on itinerary, number of nights, cabin type, amenities and cruise line. Here are a few examples of base cruise cost ranges on larger cruise lines for various regions:

A seven-night Caribbean cruise in November costs approximately $424 to $1,158 per person.
A seven-night Alaska cruise in May costs approximately $244 to $1,632 per person.
A seven-night Western Mediterranean cruise in June costs approximately $439 to $3,218 per person.
A seven-night Mexico cruise in January costs approximately $529 to $695 per person.
A seven-night Canada and New England cruise in October costs approximately $470 to $954 per person.

https://travel.usnews.com/features/how-much-does-a-cruise-cost

So yeah, I guess it's not for everyone, price are too high for a middle person. Maybe if you are super rich or really saving just to enjoy it then maybe it's for you. But for the majority, not sure if we can afford it just to experience a casino on a cruise ship. And it really depends on whether you are going to ride on peak season or not. Because it's obvious that during holidays or peak season, tickets are more expensive.

I think it was yesterday where I saw a post from Elon Musk. He said that riding on his Tesla cruise ship is only priced at $100 per day/night. $100 might be a huge amount already for some of us but I expect more of it. I still think that $100 can realistically be reached even it takes time therefore I can say that cruise ship wasn't only built for the rich.

A cruise ship is large version of a boat and if we are too paranoid and like to over think things then yeah we will think it's very risky to ride on it because we can't escape easily once it crash but if I were to choose between a plane and a cruise ship, I think I will still choose this because the chance for survival might still be high, since you can only land in the water. There might be gamblers who gambles for profit but the main purpose of any forms of gambling is to give people an entertainment.
Elon Musk is the richest man in our current day; he rose to prominence in recent years not because of his fortune, but rather because of his assets and several multibillion-dollar investments. He is the CEO of some important crypto projects in the market, he owns Tesla, and he is also involved with X-spaceship, all of which have proven to be the most successful businesses for the world's wealthiest man. We do what we enjoy, and gambling on a cruise ship is undoubtedly one of the most satisfying and memorable experiences of our life. We only have one life, so we should make every minute count.

I think that is a bold move from Elon Musk if his Tesla cruise ship will just charge $100, it's affordable to all of us. Maybe that kind of money is like what? 1 minute of playing in a slot machine? My point is that everyone has $100 if they wanted to try and experience a cruise ship and play in their casinos.

Going back to Musk, it's good business move, maybe he wanted to removed the stigma that cruise ships is for the rich people and not for everyone. But as far as the casino goes, it could be the same, at the end it will be based on how lucky you are.

But I guess the experience is priceless gambling in a cruise ship.

Although I've experience travelling on a ship, I never been on a cruise ship that has it's own casino floor. Actually, it's already a experience to be on a 5 five star with it's own casino. It's big, the ambiance is different, noisy, a lot of people playing and you can witnessed big wins.

But perhaps the experience is doubled because you are in the middle of a sea and one of the expensive cruise ships. And it's lucky I guess for those who applied and then become part of the casino services, whether you are a dealer or simply a waiter. As it operates on 24/7 and most likely the pay is also huge. So it's a great opportunity.

I'm not that capable (as of now to try cruising) but there are some school mates and friends that already in cruise and even my cousin is working in cruise so exposed in casinos and the experience? is almost the same in land base casinos because they are also offering the same gaming and same events , so I think there is no need to differentiate them both but the best to ask about the online casino and land/water based casino houses.though the only big difference is the time of operation in which land base has longer time to gamble.
I had never been to a cruise ship casino and I thought it was only for people who have a lot of money, because of course cruises are very expensive. In addition to facilities, food and so on for a long time would require a very large cost.
but if you imagine it would be great fun to be on a cruise ship that has a casino, and I remember my old friend who worked on a cruise ship about casino stuff. He said most of the larger cruise ships have casinos, and they generally cannot play in them while in port because of the laws and regulations governing gambling. And they can only play while in international waters, unless the country where the port has allowed it.
while it is for rich people yet that is correct that the gambling time is limited because of each jurisdiction from water territory .

My ex-girlfriend and I took a Royal Caribbean cruise once down to the Caribbean Islands (St Martin, St Thomas, Aruba etc). There was a casino on our cruise ship which we did spend a little time at. The hours were pretty limited, which I believe was one of the factors for us not playing as much as we otherwise would have.

I do not support cruises however. They are horrible on the environment, oceans and especially the port cities. Sure they bring tourism dollars, but that’s not everything.

I guess people with money and time to enjoy these amenities in the cruise ships will be the only ones playing on that part of the trip. Most people will surely enjoy the view, take pictures, or experience other places instead of playing. Well, some may even try it out just for the hell of it, but you are in a cruise ship for a reason, and while it's attractive to play while traveling, that's not really the main reason why a lot of people paid extra big to be in one.

A day on a cruise ship can be divided into two parts: first part - you rest at the pool or take sun bath, or get off the sure and visit new city; second part is the evening, when you usually have option to either go watch show in cruise theatre (that is located strategically close to casino), go to bars and restaurants, or chill in your cabin. On the ending part of the day, there arent huge variety of entertainment on the ship. Usually, no matter what kind of person you are (interested in gambling, likes to travel, calm guy that enjoys reading), during the cruise, at the evening it is high chance that you will pass by the casino, and high chance that you will play slots few times.

that's more then likely to happen as playing slots, you can play even without prior experience. so if you want to have a taste of casino, this is one of the games that you can easily play with. that is true, if you happen to pass by a casino, high chance that you will sit and try your luck with those slot machines.  Grin some are just trying it out for experience, so there's no surprise if these tourists are flocking inside the casino for the first time.
The casinos in Cruise is not a big thing. In many countries to enjoy or to experience the casino people are supposed to travel in the cruise. This gives different experience and for people who have good backing can sit and enjoy the experience. There are cruise ships dedicated for casinos which could drain your pocket, better is to prefer cruise that have got variety of entertainment.

I have thought that things can be done in different ways when they are on a cruise, the first thing that occurs to me is that the cruise is the owner of that casino and that the owners are those of the cruise and it is difficult because a doubt assails me, the licenses to which country can they be? However, it is not something that can be problematic, the good thing here is that they are not going to ask these people for KYC, obviously they have their complete information about the cruise, but it doesn't matter, because I think that a cruise can pay any amount of money to a person who is winning a lot, also a casino on a cruise sounds very magical to me at least, I love casinos and if they are on a cruise it is like being in heaven.

Of course, one says, being on a cruise is a Wonderful Experience , and Sometimes there can be so much Enjoyment on a cruise that you forget that you are in the middle of the sea, and that can be something that attracts your Attention , I have never had the opportunity to be on a cruise , but if you have been on smaller ships and sometimes you don't feel like you are going by the sea, then this type of thing should not be forgotten because most of the time when a person focuses on a casino it is to enjoy, and if there is a casino then you have to enjoy it too, but know to do it, it is not going to be that in a moment of emotions, you lose control and fall into a type of ugly addiction , and running out of money in a casino is something that does not Sound very good , I have always said that for everything you have to have responsibility, even if it is in a fun environment like a cruise + casino + other activities , the Person must Control Himself.
