I guess people with money and time to enjoy these amenities in the cruise ships will be the only ones playing on that part of the trip. Most people will surely enjoy the view, take pictures, or experience other places instead of playing. Well, some may even try it out just for the hell of it, but you are in a cruise ship for a reason, and while it's attractive to play while traveling, that's not really the main reason why a lot of people paid extra big to be in one.

A day on a cruise ship can be divided into two parts: first part - you rest at the pool or take sun bath, or get off the sure and visit new city; second part is the evening, when you usually have option to either go watch show in cruise theatre (that is located strategically close to casino), go to bars and restaurants, or chill in your cabin. On the ending part of the day, there arent huge variety of entertainment on the ship. Usually, no matter what kind of person you are (interested in gambling, likes to travel, calm guy that enjoys reading), during the cruise, at the evening it is high chance that you will pass by the casino, and high chance that you will play slots few times.

Has anyone here had the opportunity to try out the casino on a cruise ship? I've heard many stories about them, and I'm curious to learn about the similarities and differences compared to land-based casinos. I'm particularly interested in hearing from someone who has firsthand experience playing in a cruise ship casino.

Specifically, I would like to know:

Operating Hours: Do cruise ship casinos operate 24/7 like their land-based counterparts?
Payouts: Are the payout rates comparable to land-based casinos?
Betting Limits: What are the minimum betting limits? I know that some land-based casinos start at $20.
Game Variety: Can I find the same range of games offered in land-based casinos on cruise ships?

This post totally gets my attention. It feels like the scene of where james bond is fighting on a cruise ship. Kidding aside, I haven't had the experience of that luxury casino but I believe it's not the winning or the losing, nor the release of withdraw is the most important right there.

I think with that experience of luxury, it is more important to build networks with different types of people, especially with successful and distinguished ones. Isn't it how they make business transactions? They talk while they are playing. That experience might be truly expensive but leaving with a good time building relationships and coordinating with rich people too.

Casino on a cruise ship? This isnt something new and it had been existing for a while. There might be known but there might be those places which arent heard of but do really exist out.

Those who love to play in casinos will always pick cruise ships with casinos so they will not miss playing while traveling, and there's a different experience playing in Cruise chips because you have limited time and you want to exhaust your time playing because, after the ship docks, it will take time before you can come back playing in this casino.

The management always knows that there are people who love to play in casinos so Cruise ships also make money from these gamblers on their cruise ships.

Like land based versions they are based around lights and bells to make you forget you are losing.  I'm not much of a slot person but what I've seen is more people winning on land based normal casinos than one of a cruise ship.  There has to be so.e sort of percentage probably by law that has to payout that is probably similar but not from what I've seen.
I heard there are no clocks in there, for letting the gamblers to forgot the time and they will keep on playing but I think we are allowed to have a wrist watch and a phone so we can still be able to check the time but even so, we still prioritize playing once we are already at our climax moment. We will only leave once we win a really huge amount or there is no more left in our stash.

Maybe it's true that games on cruise ships are much rigid because in the first place, people there are only enjoying. Their main intention is different and not totally gambling to make a profit.
Even into those traditional casino places on a certain building or physical venue which they dont really have clocks which it would really be that usual or common considering that this business would really be making

revenue if people would play more.If a gambler isnt really that wary or been that aware of the time then he would really be thinking that it might be still that early to go home and stop. This is why people would really be leaving in the place are to those people who had bust up their entire balance and this is really that an advantage for them and also there are even free drinks or even having those good views or beautiful ladies
on which it would really be also a factor which it would be contributive for people to stay considering that almost men would really be visiting out on these places then it would be normal that it would
really be adding on that good vibe.

For me, Gambling while on cruise kill the purpose of vacation because you can always visit local casino if you want to gamble. You are on cruise ship to enjoy the view of different places. Why will I waste my time on gambling using my travel free time while I can watch sceneries.

The casino on cruise ships are for those addicted to gambling, we all know gamblers want to gamble when having the urge to gamble and there are people who do not like the views of the seas so they prefer to hang up with their friends in casinos inside the cruise ships.
Cruise ships cater to all walks of life so they offer everything in their Cruise ships and one of them is a casino.

The fact is we can't say that gamblers who play on cruise ships are addicts, I don't think we can generalize. on a cruise ship, equipped with facilities provided for people who want to enjoy it either for vacation, business, or all kinds depending on one's intentions.

As for the casino facilities in it, it is provided for those who like gambling and that is part of the business run by cruise ship companies. also, everyone who enters the casino is almost certain to be middle to upper class people, although not all of them have to be specific. but just imagine, to buy cruise ship tickets are very expensive. at least, the people on cruise ships are people who intend to go on vacation or those who are financially sound.
Well, even we could do say the opposite. if someone is an addict who doesn't like sea views, why would they gamble on a cruise ship. in fact, they they can visit land-based casinos without having to buy a ticket which is not cheap. so, I think everything is aimed at people who want to have fun, whether they are addicts or those who just have fun enjoying all the facilities available on the cruise.

OP thanks for this topic for it has broaden my knowledge on ship cruise casino, which I have never gambled on before.
@Oshosondy...I enjoyed the article on ship cruise casino from the link that you provided and it will be fun to gamble on a ship cruise casino but I don't think that I can have such access because my country don't have any,and it at all there is one,it will be restricted for only the rich and wealthy.

It’s not restricted to rich and wealthy. You can avail it when you can pay the ticket regardless of your financial status. My friend manage to avail a discounted cruise ship vacation tour by saving part of his salary so that he can gift it to his newly wed wife. He is not a wealthy person but he afford it with the power of savings.

For me, Gambling while on cruise kill the purpose of vacation because you can always visit local casino if you want to gamble. You are on cruise ship to enjoy the view of different places. Why will I waste my time on gambling using my travel free time while I can watch sceneries.
I think this can be near perfect honeymoon idea if wife gets along with it. I also thought those people who are gambling on ships are rich ones. They are obviously paying money for it - which must be more than average to limit people (they would prefer quality people on rich that won't cause issues so). I never tried gambling on cruise ship but reading comments about it already made me wanna try. I feel like extra services on those casinos must be beyond  average as well. Dream experience.

I am always amazed everytime I see pictures of a casino in a cruise ship.  This link is some of the cruise casio that is worth experiencing if we have the money to spend : https://cruiseradio.net/these-are-the-ultimate-casino-cruise-ships/.

Well, it should be noted that the sea fascinates me, there is nothing more beautiful than nature than the sea, I live in a mountainous area, where the climate is always somewhat cold, and tends towards the tropical, and the beach, the sea It is far away for me, when I really go out to a place near the beach I take the opportunity to take a good dip, now going on a cruise and having the opportunity to go by sea seeing the majesty of everything, and apart from having many entertainments, is something that I would like to live too. I don't see a bad thing about having a casino to go and have fun.

The thought of playing in the middle of an ocean brings me chills let alone the thought of onboarding a luxury cruise ship that offers premium services.  I wonder how much would it cost to experience such a thing.

I've never been on one before, but casinos on a cruise ship sounds really interesting..
And by the way, I know casinos to be available not just on cruise ships but also on some cargo ships as well, at least, we all know how slow ships are in movement, casinos inside those ships are a great way for the passengers to feel not very much outside the real world, it would be very interesting to have an experience of what it feels like to play on a ship while sailing across several borders..

@op, I am curious to know why you are interested in know all this informations about casinos on a cruise ship, are you planning to buy a cruise ship?

I haven't  been  on a cruise ship neither I have used the casinos on a cruise ship but I think if a casino  isn't online then it should be physical  and to the best of my ability,  I haven't had the time to make research on types of casinos but I think the two basic ones often spoken and talked about on the forum is the physical  casinos and the online casinos.
I'm sure affording a ship cruise ticket isn't cheap and as such, I don't think the minimum deposit will be $20 like the regular casinos and this will the only difference  i presume should be between this two.
And outside the rascality in the regular physical casinos, which I don't think should be on the ship,  I think other things should be similar  except the minimum deposit.

Nope, there are really some people who want to play even on vacation, you cannot say that they are addicted to it because instead of going in a vacay they are still playing. It can't be called addiction but rather a hobby , as long as they know their limits and have some control over their funds then it will result to addiction that's it, we dont need to judge them.

Regarding the fact that it takes away the meaning of the holidays, I think that at that moment we must establish a limit for ourselves, that limit so as not to exceed what we want to achieve, personally if I had that opportunity I would not go to the casino a lot because I would enjoy the other entertainments, nature, everything, the casino if I entered it out of pure curiosity, but I think that I would not stop enjoying everything on a cruise, maybe a few 10 minutes in the casino, taking a look at its games, to the players of their bets, of their ways of playing, it does not hurt, I think that I would bet, but little, just for fun without looking for profit.

I've been on a cruise ship but did not play at the casino, as I was a teenager back then and traveling with my parents. They did not have a 24h service there, but it was open during the day and most of the night. As far as I remember it was closed down late at night, maybe at 2 or 3 a.m. I had other better things to do at the time and I remember the bets were high. Basically all my pocket money would be enough for 1 or 2 bets. The casino wasn't big. It had a roulette and a card table that's what I remember, and the rest of it was slots. A ton of slot machines, basically 10 slots fore every other game.
It was a cruise from on the South coast of Europe from Greece to France.
Really? You're rich then? lol, because I think cruise ships are expensive. Never been on one and I'm not planning though, as I'm afraid of the ocean. I got traumatized when I saw the Titanic movie. Some teenagers look mature already and I heard some stories before where a teenager enters the casino and a club but those teenagers can get screwed if they will be asked for an ID.

Maybe you still look like a kid in your teenage days or maybe you are only scared and don't have an interest on doing the adult stuff like gambling. Casino in a cruise ship is not different from a land-based casino and as usual, there are more slots machines compared to other games because it's more entertaining and loved the most by the gamblers.

It is not worth to try it on a cruise ship. I didn’t do this but I can make some guesses. The rates will suck, the selection of games will suck… that’s because it is a cruise ship, that’s their actual job. They are not really a casino and more importantly, when you are on a cruise ship why would you possibly want to visit a casino anyway? If you are so desperate you can always play from your phone.

It's like everything in an enclosed space. Just go to an amusement park where you pay an entry fee for the day. Everything will be overpriced, food will generally suck, you'll pay a few bucks for a bottle of water... A similar thing is with drinks in a casino or a night club. They tend to be more overpriced than in a pub, where people come to drink, so they watch the prices. At a night club people come for the girls, so a drink can be 3x more expensive.
A casino on a cruise ship knows that if some guy is a gambler, he's stuck with them. He doesn't have a choice and can go to another one down the street, there's just one, so stakes will be high from the start and odds not in your favor.

Also, since cruise ships sail from one country to another, there might be local gambling laws that they have to abide with.

This page will explain well.
For casino services, the laws of the country where the ship originates may apply. However, this kind of casino also has an inherent set of internal rules that may enforce regulations in the area of berth. cmiiw

Icon of the Seas, A shipyard company in Finland is going to build a ship about five times bigger than Titanic. But those who have not seen a casino on a cruise ship will find that facility in this huge ship. The cruise ship is the size of four football stadiums and looks almost like a floating city. 24 hours casino service will be available here. However, the ship is under construction since 2021 and will be ready to sail around mid-2024.
