Still the same error  Huh

Add this to the bat file:

Code:
--opencl 1 -G 0,1,2,..,N

for a N+1 number of Vega GPUs.

Ok it starts with cast_xmr-vega --opencl 1 -G 0,1,2,3,N -S

Now i get the follow error

Code:
[13:51:27] Error CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0.
Just try with one card:
Code:
  cast_xmr-vega --opencl 1 -G 0 -S pool.supportxmr.com:7777 -u 47BPxtKATViEjCy4TMTDHbAq6QqjFRMgsXhe2PmqfNKE41QBa2AhxgHP19huMV7et4X2YiAhVbgUgAoCAtDbmeuW1tcrgXN.miner1
or
Code:
  cast_xmr-vega --opencl 0 -G 0 -S pool.supportxmr.com:7777 -u 47BPxtKATViEjCy4TMTDHbAq6QqjFRMgsXhe2PmqfNKE41QBa2AhxgHP19huMV7et4X2YiAhVbgUgAoCAtDbmeuW1tcrgXN.miner1

run.bat

cast_xmr-vega -G 0,1,2,3 -S pool.supportxmr.com:7777 -u 47BPxtKATViEjCy4TMTDHbAq6QqjFRMgsXhe2PmqfNKE41QBa2AhxgHP19huMV7et4X2YiAhVbgUgAoCAtDbmeuW1tcrgXN.miner1 %*

try to add in the run.bat file --opencl 0 -G 0,1,2,3 if its not working try different number, like --opencl 1

Still the same error  Huh

[/quote]

did you have other GPUs on your system before? because it looks like you have driver issue.. if yes you should remove the old ones with DDU...

Hi,

a new cast XMR version is available:

Cast XMR Version 0.7 (2017/11/29)

  - network and job status added to current statistics
  - remote access to get current status at http://127.0.0.1:7777 in JSON format (enable with --remoteaccess)
  - command line option to specify number of reconnects to pool (default 100) before giving up (set with --reconnects n)
  - fix for nicehash to support upto 8 GPUs (before only 4 were possible)

Download Cast XMR 0.7 for Windows (64bit)

Happy mining!

Still the same error  Huh

Hi,

I have a new problem whem i start Cast XMR it says:

Code:
Selected OpenCL device index 1 doesn't exist.

If i look into regedit i see:
Code:
0000 Internal gpu
0001 Radeon RX Vega
0002 Radeon RX Vega
0003 Radeon RX Vega
0004-Radeon RX Vega

run.bat
Code:
cast_xmr-vega -G 1,2,3,4 -S pool.supportxmr.com:7777 -u wallet-address %*

How i can fix this issue?

try these values for the -G value: -G 0,1,2,3 don't worry it won't use the iGPU for mining...

I get the follow error message:
Code:
[12:19:30] Initializing GPU, loading kernel ...
[12:19:31] Selected OpenCL device index 1 doesn't exist.

Do you know why after few hours of mining with Vega56 the hashrate decrease from 1850 to 1600 ?

I have do disable and re-enable the card every time in order to get full hashrate !

check your windows power settings, it can cause hashrate drop... quote from http://vega.miningguides.com/
POWER SETTINGS: Set screen and Hard Drive to never sleep
Windows Start button: type "run" (or press Windows logo key + R)
        Type:  "powercfg.cpL"
Select "Change plan settings" for the plan that is selected
Set "Turn off the display" to "Never"
Set "Put the computer to sleep" to "Never"
        Select "Change advanced power settings"
Expand "Hard disk" and set "Turn off hard disk after" to "0"
Select "Apply", then "OK" and then "Save Changes"
        Close window
(Note: Setting hard drive to never sleep is thought to help prevent hash-rate drops when the miner is using virtual memory)

I have followed this guide but the problem is the same

Don't bother running this on RX 4x0/5x0 cards, it's not optimized for them.
I works on some, and goes bad on others.
Just use SGminer GM and ur life will be easier  Grin

Tried to get my 580/480 8 card rig to run smooth and couldn't get all the zero's out of the miner like it was trying to run about 4x faster than needed even though I was pulling in 6500 hash I had a real bad reject rate I couldn't solve either. Pissed me off ordered some vega 56 pointed Hashington at ETC. i did notice it to seem a little better if I closed out wattman before open cast and do nothing else with the computer. Don't even look at it lol Now im installing 220 to power the pdu strip. Hope this works better. I tried fresh install windows all the other stuff

As far as I observed, memory error rates are important in pool share rejections for RX cards. At least this was the case for me in ETH/DUAL mining.
Try to find good settings/bios mods for RX cards which cause 0 or only a few memory error counts. You can check it for each GPU with HWInfo.

well, my vega 56 almost came, but I see already that my plans to put it into the rig of 1080 ti are vanished
so I ordered separate rig for that with Ryzen 7 1700, will build 4 x vega build step by step
i think it would be better and more stable build
