Tried to get my 580/480 8 card rig to run smooth and couldn't get all the zero's out of the miner like it was trying to run about 4x faster than needed even though I was pulling in 6500 hash I had a real bad reject rate I couldn't solve either. Pissed me off ordered some vega 56 pointed Hashington at ETC. i did notice it to seem a little better if I closed out wattman before open cast and do nothing else with the computer. Don't even look at it lol Now im installing 220 to power the pdu strip. Hope this works better. I tried fresh install windows all the other stuff

Hi there. I installed yesterday this miner and I notice something strange... (Or not).
yesterday night i left the computer mining with it. It actually started very good.
Using xmr-stack I get 4700h/s using 800w.
Cast-xmr was getting me 5200h/s using 830w.
Good enough for me.
But when I woke up in the morning it was mining at 4700h/s using 780w.
Anyway its still using a little bit less power to mine the same.
Today in the afternoon i got some messages in my email saying miner disconnected. And my hashrate for the last 6 hours was awful.

MY setup is Intel core i3 4330
5x RX580
1x RX470
Motherboard asrock h81 btc 2.0
Psu be quiet dark power pro 1200w platinum
8GB crucial ballistix smart tracer 1866mhz
Virtual memory 32gb (using 7gb) overkill of course
Blockchain drivers from 23rd August.
Now it's mining at 5109h/s using 820w
I had to restart my PC 2 or 3 times to get here. Let's see if it falls down later.

Any guesses?

Just by writing this message I can see something.
Everytime it appears share accepted, the hashrate is decreased by 1 so now its already 5095.

Hey, I've been flashed rx vega 56 to 64 version and done registry tweaks

Results on 2 vega running 10 minutes:
Average hashrate: 3938 H/s
Shares: 19 accepted, 12 errors

Why so many errors on shares? What's the problem here? Any help??

Yes, saw the same thing when mixing RX 480 and Vega 56s. Pool side and total reported hash rate looks okay, but the GPU refresh readouts appear as you describe.

easyhash is not nicehash.
Try connecting to a NICEHASH server instead.
You also need a password field.

Hello,

Got Crossfire disabled manually in the Registry since this method does NOT install AMD settings.

All 3 cards are running... but hash-rate only ~1300 even with the Blockchain driver.

So... more tinkering to go.

SOLVED:

Go to Device Manager

Manually "Disable" and "Re-Enable" each GPU

Now speed is 1800+

I have 4x vega 56 into my system but when i start Cast XMR i get the follow error:

[15:22:52] This version only supports AMD RX Vega 56/64 and RX 480/580 GFX cards. Sorry.

You can check http://www.gandalph3000.com for latest versions of cast XMR.

Maybe an optimized version for your GPU is available.

So it will load only my internal GPU Tongue

how i can set Cast XMR to use my 4x vega 56?

anyone using nicehash (legacy), and anyone collecting fees *cough* dev *cough* should probably request this be officially added to nicehash.
if you google "CryptoNight miner for RX Vega GPUs #478" you'll find the correct place to do so.

if they day ever comes that some other algo is close to the same profitability on a vega, it sure would be nice to have this working via nicehash so it can switch automatically.

it is not the mobo, I followed step-by step to setup my rig http://vega.miningguides.com/ I have 2 Vega 64 on a 5 years old Asus P8H61-M LE and i get stable 1960 H/s per card, your problem is the Wattman.. quote from the site: "If you installed the full AMD application, NEVER EVER open the AMD application. In other guides you will hear references to Wattman. Ignore them. You will hear references to HBCC sliders. Ignore them. Opening the driver software works for some people but I have had to uninstall and re-install the drivers ground up because of opening the driver. Don't do it. You need it installed and that is it. (If you did open it and have problems that require uninstall"

I use wattman with no problems. Day after day of stability at over 2K average hash rate on 4 vega 64's. It's not Wattman that is the problem, but I concede that it of course is far from perfect.

Make sure you have 8MB of Virtual Mem per card set in your virtual mem space (windows10). 1024 * 16 for (2 cards) = 16384 + 300 for overhead =16684 total. OR maybe better settings 2 (cards) 1024 *16 *1.5 = 24576VM.
Make sure crossfire is turned off (should not be an option if using the blockchain driver so generally ignore people saying this)
If using wattman sometimes it is best to toggle the HBCC on off after PC reboot. (leave it off on all cards)
My fans are set to 2500RPM min with a target 70C and max of 75C - You will need to adjust fan speed per your climate.If you can keep the cards at 70C and lower, all the better.
turn the monitor settings in windows to never turn off.

That is about all really.

Fire up the script and let it run. You can turn your monitor off and on and the hash rate should stay the same.

In seems that the crash was caused by the "crossfire" option on Wattman. It was turned on by default, because I never turned it on. As I unchecked it and restarted the Miner with 2 gpu, it just worked like a charm with 1900+ H/s on both cards.
I have been tweaking with both Wattman or OverdriNTTool and apparently it does not make any difference.

I am using the blockchain drivers from August23 version, are these the latest one?

when getting corrupt display it is more a gpu probleme or ram problem ?

because i can't figure it out for now
when i play a video while mining my display get corrupt
i tired to undervolt less but not effect, also try do decrease memory a bit has no effect also for now
as i have 2 vega in the computer i switch them but did not help ever

me to i can't find any vega here i m sad i did not buy 3 more

i think i m going to build an gtx1070x5 good idea or not?

because waiting on vega can take month and price will be 100€ more at lease like what happen the rx series
