The Zcash reward has now reached 10 coins per block for the miners. No more "slow start".

to those stated they mine on zpool:

is it even worth? last time i checked (when the original thread wasnt locked) zpool silently "lost" ~20% of your earnings

Yup, same... Mining coins there it was like 20-30% of my earnings disappeared.

Zpool.ca currently has 1840 miners(rigs). Some time ago I tested the skein algo with around 100 ghash. Worked, but my hashrate was too big for the network, and the profit dropped around 50%

Yiimp is a slow pool with alot of disconnects and broken wallets.

THERE IS A NEW YIIMP AUTO-SWITCHING POOL--

"THE HASH REFINERY" is a new pool using the YIIMP software.  The link is: http://pool.hashrefinery.com/

Personally, I have not tried it, but the fact that it allows CCminer auto-switching and coin exchange makes it an item of interest.

As for Zpool, many miners complained about skewed statistics and loss of accumulated coins prior to exchange.  I lost coins there, complained in the BitCoinTalk thread, and other miners did as well.  After creating a MinerControl script just for Zpool and mining with good profit for a week or two, it was sad to see the pool and profits go sour because of some poolside adjustments.

I hope that this new pool works well.  YIIMP software may not be the easiest thing to manage.  I'll look into pointing a rig or two at The Hash Refinery when I finish some rig building.       --scryptr

+1

have got a similar experience, if not worst. Yiimp all the way; one of the best services, if not the Number 1.

same developer making both the pool and the miner(s) is a big advantage!

But a company doesn't pay tax on the power, and If you are located close to the powerplant, you don't pay the grid fee.
The cost of power without tax and grid rent is €0,0298/KWh

isn't that abusive? did you have a contract for this? how can a residential have access to such a low energy...
Because the power is mostly made by hydro power.  Low cost green energy. In the rest of europe they use expensive coal and nuclear plants. But I think Iceland has even cheaper electricity, because of all the vulcano activity.
Aren't you buying your power from nordpool just like me? You on NO4 area?

Yes. The nordic counties share the grid and trade power between borders. The prices are higher now in the wintertime.

Ethereum continues to give the largest % of mining revenue by far

Only if you're a plug and play miner who will all have a very bad time in the next few months and will shake you out of mining - even with very cheap electricity - until the next big thing comes out for a few weeks, maybe months.

Personally, I don't even remember the last time I mined Ethereum.
Me nither.. but maybe 8 months ago for 10 minutes. Then I found out it's a bankers coin. I haven't touched it since.

before I provided a fix on sp_ github, the skein implementation was showing higher hashrate than real.
I don't know which private versions have this fix, maybe only the latest.
another thing is the lower hashrate on the pool because of duplicate shares, that was fixed long ago.

Yes, the hashrate bug in skein is present in the sp-mod #7.

4. 0.1BTC: All nicehash algos optimized. 0-10% (7 releases)(x11,x13,x14,x15,x17,nist5,quark,skein,lyra2v2,neoscrypt)

The bug was fixed by pallas and merged 31 sept-2016

SP4 on avg 290MH without the fee. Considering the fee 290*0.975 = 282.75 / 284.73 MH/s
1.8.3 Free: 295.82 MH/s
Which is the fastest, other than you making incorrect statements ? Wink

Gtx 1070 sp-mod #4 Same speed

Try it on the gtx 1060 3gb. My version is faster.
On the maxwell cards my version is faster
