Lbry sp-mod #4 should be much faster than the opensource on the maxwell cards. What are you getting on the gtx 970 or 980ti?

Pretty sure almost no one bought mining rigs with 1080s. Just someone fumbling around with their gaming hardware (and SLI they thought would make money). It's been known for a very long GDD5-X doesn't work properly with mining. A tiny bit of research would've turned that up.

However, having almost no support on the Nvidia side of things was something that no one could've expected, especially considering things 6 months ago. Not even sure why no one wants to program for CUDA. Guess AMD is just more common.
Yes, it my gaming card.  Cry

People buying 1080 mining rigs underdogs? I just don't buy that.

After done some bad investments you just don't come here to whine about it. Like it was some others fault.

Yup, suggested multiple times that Nvidia developers should add a 'fee' to their miners. They didn't and spent the entire time complaining about a lack of donations. Low and behold, Nvidia developers are now non-existent and AMD devs are all running on a fee. Weird, huh?

Guess well have to wait till some new devs come along to fight for the underdog. Pretty sure I'm going to start purchasing AMD gpus to offset my loses at this point.

Miner developers just ignoring nvidia community...  Angry

Or 'nvidia community' just ignoring miner developers. That is how market works.

Just include fee into a miner - and we have good hashrate, and developer have good profit.

Just let that market decide. That f----r does always the right thing.

$800 gpu does 60 when sold to market at bargain price.

Meanwhile, second hand $100 gpu does 130 that can be used at markets much more profitable. ROI in 3-4 weeks, just like earlier this year. This can all change in one night though.

Agreed. Feeling very stupid for buying GTX1070's for their efficiency when cheap AMD cards are pushing NVidia miners out of profits. This was impossible to predict back when efficiency mattered on the relavent compute intensive algo's at the time.

That's not what is advertised in the thread. I know you can do it with some Python magic as well.

Fastest free miner to nvidia is nicehash beta miner, my cpu 6700k and 1080 make 95 s/s.

besides cpu which was fixed, what is the problem?

The speed. The income... The only way to Max the NVIDIA chips is to use CUDA.

yeah but it's better than doing 30 sol or 70, i know that without cuda nvidia can not reach its maximum

just nvidia isn't optimized, waiting for clymore with cuda

That's not going to happen anytime soon just like with Ethereum. Someone paid him to not release for Nvidia (just like with Ethereum). We'll probably see a miner for Nvidia in like 3-4 months.

Yup, not sure why some of the normal Nvidia devs aren't porting SA v5 to Windows/Nvidia. Nvidia supports OCL as well as CUDA, should be relatively easy to do. Putting aside closed miners like the above
SA 5 on 1080 make 60 sol/sec.

You had 10000 sol/s during opening weekend, now you have what 150000?

Zcash is beeing harvested. I think the Happy BD problem has a backdoor. Smiley

I remember earlier this year when eth started bull run genesismining selling 100MH contracts for $1600. Now they are selling 75 sol/s for $2600. Guys we are doing something wrong here  Grin.

Problem is that after optiminer release nvidia feels like joke, sad but a fact. Hope that week from now both nvidia & amd do 300 S/s.

yeah even if djm34 result are true they are a joke now, a 470 can do 120 sol, absurd
