would still be nice to see one in action ...

even if it isnt '10x' the speed and all that ...

will get a chance soon i think Wink ...

This is all old... The unveil for Pascal was on Friday which someone else announced in the thread.

A 1070 is a bit faster then a Titan and a 1080 is a decent bit faster. Benchmarks aren't out yet.

what do you guys will do, do you sell your gpu now, to avoid depreciation or better to wait and see the new gpu in action?, because the new gpu will make this one depreciate a lot, up to 50%

An Eth/FTC dual miner would be so so awesome.  Not sure what kind of hash rates could be expected though...

ok, i've found how to reset to p2 state without rebooting your computer and without using inspector, just this nvidia-smi -rac

very useful, was a pain in the ass to reset each time i need to use other algo, which otherwise would result in a drivers crash with p0 state, like quark...probably due to the high overclock...
quark is the one with the most problems and then neoscrypt and lyra2v2 ... but quark is the worst.. even with no oc'ing.
There was a command in cuda mining  - C 0  - C 1  -C 2 but there not in ccminer and I don't know if that would help in the oc'ing or not.

yeah when i shift from ethereum to quark with the same oc(+150 core/mem) i always get a crash, qubit is the same, there is a bug on the miner maybe? i don't remember such thing with 750ti and i had 10 of those baby...well there was not ethereum back then...

Do you use different intensities for different algos? The default -i may be too high when combined with OC on some
algos.

all at default, but i set p0 state for etheruem, maybe is that the problem? also the tdp is limted to 60%

I don't know if the p state has anything to do with the problem but I would recommend test algos that crash
with different intesnsities to find what is stable..

The intensity can be set on a per algo basis because it is a ccminer parameter but p state, tdp, OC etc are per
GPU so changing them would affect all algos. That way you can optimize each algo individually for each rig.

Another point is that different cards have different intensity limits so if you have different cards in the same rig
you will have to set it to a value that works on all cards which may not be optimum on some cards.

after all the payments i have made to sp ( in excess of 1-2btc to date ) - sp seems to be holding back the latest miner from me ...

I have sendt it twice. to the gnxs adress

i am still receiving emails from everyone else - except you ...

you are NOT on the ban list - you are NOT on the junk list - i have received emails from you many time prior ... is there an issue with the mail system? ... ill check that and let you know ...

but to date - i have not received one email from you - let alone one with an attachment with the latest miner ...

i dunno whats going on mate - but this isnt good ...

ALL of my emails are via the gnxs accounts - and none of them are having issues currently ...

go figure ...

SP what exact cpu are you using on windows rigs.  I'm going to look it up and price it and see how many lanes it has.  Thx

there is a way to change back the p state from 0 to 2 without using nvidia inspector? with command prompt for example?

Inspector works from command line as well so you can cook up a bat that runs your preferred settings on boot. I haven't tried it though.
For my one rig it would have to do this...

cd C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI
nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1455 -i 0,1,2,4

It would be nice to have that work on boot-up or built into the bat or conf file.

Anything that's in
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
will run at each boot so you can just put the .bat there.

(Win7 but I'd guess it's the same for 8/10)

Yes it is ... but all oc'ing apps would have to be off to set property ..... Thx

I found   --pstate=0  to set clocks to the p0 state.....but I haven't tried it yet.

If there is that  --pstate=0 then maybe there is   --pstate=2 which is what my 980ti and 970gtx are running at right now.
Remember I found this on the readme docs and I haven't tried it yet. Wink

EDIT:Also   --keep-clocks   prevents clocks from resetting.

use ths command nvidia-smi -rac

I'm familiar with nvidia-smi   ........  but  -rac  what is that? What does it do?
Thx

reset the application clock, it's the opposite of nvidia-smi -ac, which is used to force the p-state to 0
Yes thanks...works great.... one thing is it sets all clocks on all cards even the 750ti along with the 970 gtx.

There isn't a single GPU algo that uses more then my 1x risers provide on PCI-E 2.0.

I've never seen the interface connection maxed and you can check that while mining with GPUZ.

SP where is that promised dual miner? It's been a week. *grumble*

Maybe why I can't get 4 high end cards to work...not enough lanes on my cpu.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rctaLgK5stA
This could be reason only for extremely high-bandwidth algo.
And high-bandwidth for gpu to RAM access

tanx tbear ...

im going to test this in the coming week with a more powerful cpu on the board ...

I don' think this applies to mining else we wouldn't be able to mine from x1 slots.

btw - does anyone have the spmod6 miner they can send me please ...

after all the payments i have made to sp ( in excess of 1-2btc to date ) - sp seems to be holding back the latest miner from me ...

all those that i have helped in the past - i would appreciate you helping me now by sending me a copy of the miner and any future miners ... i will show my appreciation in many many ways - as what sp is currently doing is not only unfair - but uncouth and a disgusting way of doing business ... all contact is as always - completely discreet ...

sp - i dunno what it is you are playing at here mate - but this is bullshit ...

you will get no more funds from me again if this continues to play out - AND i shall make sure that my entire infrastructure is cut off permanently from you - no matter how massive thefarm gets ...

i have no idea why you have singled me out of all people to do this to - but i assure you - it will be the last time you stuff me around ... or get ANY donations / payments from me or my infrastructure again ...

its no wonder you have got so many peoples nose out of joint here ... especially devs that have set the foundation for your miner and optimizations ...

you have broken our gentlemans agreement - and as such - i am not bound to adhere to that agreement any longer ...

you really seem to have forgotten who it was that donated enough for you to start - let alone grow - the farm that you have running ... and our continued support keep your pockets filled with btc to make things happen for you ... so you have outgrown those that have helped you establish huh? ... are you suddenly too damned good for those that supported you from the beginning sp? ... remember - i have a large farm - which is currently twice the size it was orgininally ( just not functional at the moment ) - and i KNOW how much it costs to keep a farm like this running ... you will need to continue your income to keep it going sp - and handouts from the community will become less and less when you become the greedy person that a few have made you out to be ...

you will require the communitys' continued help - and i for one refuse to support you any longer ... at least until you get back to being the sp that CARED for the community that THIS sp is squeezing btc from ...

im disgusted in the person you have become sp ... absolutely and unequivocally ...

but then again - dealing with the likes of those scum members of this community as you have ( those that really DONT matter in real life AND here ) - is there anymore that needs to be said about how you deal with honest people of this community? ...

so i would expect all this to fall on deaf ears - unless you have a moral bone in your body ...
