Your math is way off. a 1 million dollar farm would roi my mod in 1-2 days.
nist5 is a mature algo wich is optimized pretty good already. The last few percent are the profitable percents. Take a look at EWFB, DSTM or the claymore miners. They offer a small speedup for a high fee. (2%) This is because the equilhash algo is difficult to make faster.

It isn't, it's FUD or it's a pool operator with a chip on their shoulder as far as SP goes. Epsylon for instance allows SP miners on his pool.
