I sent 1.5B Pennies from one wallet to my PFQiBugkv6jywNy89Xo5FH7anE8qdMAffP address but they never showed up in the wallet after >500 confirmations Sad
Sent them in small transactions of ~5M each.

Wallet is in sync.
Redownloaded the whole chain.
Did a repairwallet on old and new wallet.
0.9.6 wallet.

Transaction ID's show up in block explorer, but no Pennies...

Out of options Sad

Didn't Shake say we can still use the 0.9.5/0.9.6 until the 0.9.7 is out? Maybe try reverting back to the 0.9.5? I don't know if it would help, but that is what I would try..
Just a thought..  Hope you get them back bro..

On Cryptsy there is no warrant on purchase! ! !
It is the end! ! ! The coin is dead! ! !

actually, we were hoping stake would be reduced in december?  Huh

You're welcome to hold off upgrading until the 0.9.8 version, but once it comes out, it will stop accepting connections from clients older than 0.9.7. Trying to do this in two steps to avoid the issues we had last time.

Hi Shake, just wondering if the update got pushed to github for us Linux users? Thanks!
Ahh, wondered what was wrong when I typed

~/pennies$ git pull
Already up-to-date.
~/pennies$ pennies getinfo
{
    "version" : "v0.9.6.0-beta",

...

Any progress on this are are you going to wait till 0.9.8

For those of you who are still with the Pennies, I present 0.9.7:

https://andarazoroflove.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/PiggyBank-0.9.7-Qt.zip

This build aims to put stake issues to bed by disabling stake nearly completely. The next version (0.9.8, in December sometime) will cut off all clients below this wallet level as the network implements a final solution to stake issues. Please upgrade as you can and thanks for realizing this is still a work in progress.
Will upgrading fix this:

I know 5000000 isn't alot, and I am thankful for MaGNeT's giveaway, but I find it strange that it is robbing me of the pennies.

Perhaps you should count the digits. The 5,000,000 MaGNeT gave you became 49,396,412 (2 * 24,698,206) after staking.
Crap, I guess that explains it. Feeling kinda dumb now.

say you have 1.6 billion in your wallet all bought at different times in small amounts, there should be no issue with the stake right? it is only because max 1billion can be staked at anytime?  but since the coin ages are all different this should not matter?  is this correct?

If not, then how to fix this because moving coins to other wallets will destroy their age.

What is the best method here? im still on the original piggy bank.
This is how I understand it at least:

Having more than a billion coins in your wallet is fine, so long as that billion is made up of chunks smaller than 100million (or is it 200 million not sure exactly as it seems to stake in 2 sets at once). Any larger and it will not stake properly (or in my case it staked but never came back with ~230 million chunks).

The only way to fix this is to move the coins to another wallet in smaller chunks (and then back if you prefer). But doing so will, as you say, reset their age and you will have to wait for them to stake again.
Wouldn't sending them to yourself in small chunks to different addresses in the same wallet achieve the same thing?

When you get your "free" pennies... don't cry that you can't earn stake... it is your own fault.

Make a second wallet addy, and break it up into smaller pieces the same day it arrives... not hard.
I wanted to know where the 650000 pennies went. I wasn't concerned about the PoS reward but the fact that it left me with fewer pennies than I had before it tried to stake.

Anyone else update to 0.9.7 and now the wallet never shows up on screen?  It's in my tray, but stays hidden when I double click to show/hide.  It never pops up on screen.

Yeah, would have been nice to know about the 1b limit.  I had to break up into 250mil chunks, but it looks like that won't either?

Were you coins all bought at the same time? did breaking them up reset the coin age in the wallets?

No, some bought, most staked. But it was getting too messy and I decided to consolidate transactions after my last stake on the 7th.  Had issues trying to xfer (since I didn't know about the coin limit) out to Cryptsy.  Transferred back into another wallet from Cryptsy in 250mil chunks.  I have yet to get stake on those 250mil chunks and I'm not sure I will if there is a 1bil limit?

Yeah 5 million is fine, but would only take a couple stakes before it was too large again.

Speaking of which, good to know about the 1Billion limit. That cost me ~12Billion in stakes last week due to leaving some large chunks around that wouldn't stake. Definitely need to break it up more. Coin control is awesome for seeing this kind thing though +1.

This build aims to put stake issues to bed by disabling stake nearly completely. The next version (0.9.8, in December sometime) will cut off all clients below this wallet level as the network implements a final solution to stake issues. Please upgrade as you can and thanks for realizing this is still a work in progress.
Just to clarify, since this isn't a hard fork yet. 0.9.6 / 0.9.7 will still generate stake at the old rate until December (0.9.8 ) at which point everything moves over to near 0 stake or is this happening sooner?
