Evil beware: We have waffles!
Hi
why my Hex8A1 reject shares?
Because it does not like you?
The can be any number of reasons ranging from a dead miner to configuration errors,
Try giving us at least SOME information such as a screen shot of what CGminer shows....

Little late BUT. I can no longer find that type build for the cgminer. Could  ANYBODY point me to a link or right direction to obtain the software needed to run the device (technobit HEX16a,b,c etc). Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated ...Thank You,

Here you go:
cgminer for technobit devices except DICE

Just to let you know that these devices are old, and inefficient Wink

Disclamer: This topic is only for Technobit Boards, for original cgminer support please visit: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/official-cgminer-mining-software-thread-for-linuxwinosxmipsarmr-pi-4110-28402

With the help of "farmdve" from the Bulgarian Bitcoin forum BitcoinBG.eu here it is, the windows build of cgminer supporting Technobit boards like HEX16A2, HEX16B/B2, HEX8A1 etc.

Step by Step guide:
Updated: 29.12.2014

1. Files to download:
Zadig: http://zadig.akeo.ie/downloads/zadig_2.1.0.exe
Cgminer: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/technobit/cgminer_technobit_win_0_4_1b.zip
Cgminer Dice Version - Latest: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/technobit/cgminer_technobit_win_0_4_1_DICE.zip

EDIT 21.7.2017: Updated links for cgminer win https://mega.nz/#F!qIIXGbAY!VqmgqasZJz-FiYAMS5RDWQ

2. Connect the board don't install any drivers if asked

2.1. If you had installed previous com drivers from technobit the device will be recognized as COM port in device manager:

Leave it like this

3. Right Click on Zadig -> Run As Administrator

3.1. Go to Options and Check "List All Devices"

3.2. From the dropdown menu find the Technobit device connected

3.3. Click "Replace Driver", after installation finish click "Close"

3.4. Check if the driver is installed correctly, choose the board again from the dropdown menu, you should see something like this:

In device manager it is under Universal Serial Bus devices:

If you see this than your device is properly installed.

4. Extract the archive and just run cgminer.exe to test your installation

4.1 Edit cgminer.conf to suit your needs, the config file is with common settings for all supported devices.
you need Notepad++ to see linebreaks in cgminer.conf

5. Run cgminer.exe, if the board is not detected or you get some errors just replug it.

5.1 /not needed anymore/ In case that the board is still not recognized after replugging the usb cable, try edit the cgminer.conf field corresponding to your board:
Code:
"set_default_to_c" : false,

change to
Code:
"set_default_to_c" : true,

Here we go Wink

This version is tested and runs on everything from Technobit except HEX16A, you can check my reviews of the boards for settings:
HEX16A2 (HEXc)
HEX16B (HEXb)
HEX16B2 BitFury2 (HEXb)
HEX8A1 260GH (HEX8)
HEX8A1 130GH (HEX8)
HEX4M 400GH (HEXM)
HEX4R - Spondoolies RokerBox
HEX16A4 - Avalon 4

Not tested with mixed boards.

Cgminer for !!! ONLY !!! HEX16A !!! ONLY !!!
1. Files to download:
Cgminer: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/cgminer_technobit_win/cgminer-hex16a.rar
You need to remove zadig for HEX16A boards

I know this has been a long time between posts in this thread but i've just sold my Bitmain C1 & S4 miners & dont currently have a proper miner running...

I am currently awaiting the release of the 21 bitcoin computer & in the mean time I pulled out my Technobit HEX16A2 (HEXc) miners to run as i was having miner withdrawals...

I did actually try to sell these but as it seems i kept them too long & no one brought them off me... so if anyone is interested i'll sell them ( I have 3 ) for US$25 plus postage to where u live...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next i currently am using cgminer 4.7.1 which came from this thread with zadig but was wondering if this could be run with bfgminer or not??

Any help is appreciated as i have some old 10gh blades which i was going to run at the same time till i can get my 21 bitcoin computer...

You are mining with a sha256 miner and Doge is scrypt. This will not work. try to find a sha256 pool.
Have a look at www.btcguild.com its a good place to start. You can also try  a coin switching pool like hamsterpool (see my signature) or www. multipool.us

Can anyone recommend a Quality hub (12+prts) that will allow me to connect my 5 hex4m's together with my 4 hex8a1's and two hex16b's to my pc and and I will also want one to use it for the technobit openwrt router later since i'm building a 2nd setup in the shed. I am located in the EU so I would have to pay 21% vat on anything coming from the US but please I have tried many times  and failed spending several hundreds of euros in the process....

No need to buy expensive hub.
Something like this had been confirmed to work 10 port usb hub

OFC as i said before, do not use the power adapter, get the power from same PSU of your miner

Hello 2Good,

I am currently running my six technobit hex16a2 at 1000MHz/ 850 mv.  Do you have any opinion about how much longer it would be still worth keeping these plugged in, before they are too unprofitable to run?
I still run mine at 1000/900 I get around 17GH, the consumption should be ~25W i.e. still profitable @ 1.5W per GH

First of all sorry for the delay, but it's finally here - the updated patched version of cgminer for windows.

This version is tested only on HEX4M, but it should work with:
Code:
devices:
 HEX16B.ASICs.........: Enabled // bitfury 1 and 2
 HEX16C.ASICs.........: Enabled // Avalon 2
 HEX8A1.ASICs.........: Enabled // Coincraft A1
 HEX8M.ASICs..........: Enabled // BA Minion
 HEX16B200.ASICs......: Enabled // AM BE200
 HEX3A3.ASICs.........: Enabled // Avalon 3

This version is based on the latest Technobit patch 0_3_8

Download link in OP

Sorry for the missing BFL code, I was unable to compile the driver for BFL ASICs, but you should just turn them off or run another instance of cgminer that supports BFL 65nm devices.

If ur having prob's on windows with cgminer buy the router & update the firmware urself...

The $30 i spent on the router was well worth it. They now run independently of my pc, so my pc never has to be turned on to run them!

Just like the antminers!

try get them running under windows

did try follow that guide
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cgminer-windows-build-for-technobits-boards-569689

the ccminer see no devices did follow the guide and all troubleshoot hints

why if windows isnt working do u promote it?
just make it required buy that tp-link if thats the only stable way run the miner

i suggest provide up to date mining software for windows

The guide is tested and working for HEX8A1 boards, and just to mention I'm not in any way obligated to provide what ever version of software - I'm not working at/for Technobit.

Just follow the guide and use cgminer from the first link: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/cgminer_technobit_win/cgminer.rar

Yeah, on second thought I think you are right.  With the help of your version of CGMINER I am now over the 0.65 BTC mark with my 6  miners.  If I manage to pass the 1 BTC level, I think that they will have served their purpose.  I dropped the voltage slightly and am still averaging over 120 GH.

I run my HEX16A2 at 1050/900 ~17GH:
Code:
 HEXc 0: 1050  900/ 917mV | 17.70G/16.70Gh/s | A:171008 R:1248 HW:2262/1.25% WU:233.3/m

It's very cold, so I assume the consumption is low

Unfortunately we are rapidly approaching the end of the line for the useful life of this miner.  Considering the power consumption is just under 4 watts per GH.

For me the Avalon gen.1 devices are dead already, but the HEX16Bs are ok and A1 too, even my HEX16A2 (Avalon2) is still hashing with 14GH/s (undervolted)

In that case you would use the 4 pin molex connector from the ATX power supply, or the SATA connector through the following adapter:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003WSUZH0/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The other options for troubleshooting this could include:

 - Try this on a different computer.  I had to eventually give up on trying to get this to work on one of my computers.
 - Try adding a USB hub between the computer and the miner.  Use a different USB cable to make sure you have a good one.  Also, certain computers don't play nice with the miner's USB connection.
 - Try using a different ATX power supply.
 - If all else fails, you could still use the original Hexminer software.  I ran it for a couple months with my miners, before I was able to figure out how to get cgminer for windows to work.  It is less stable and crashes more easily, but still works ok.
Now I got to work on my hex16b2. Thanks you for helping!!

You haven't specified which configuration your power connector is on the miner.  The older boards were all 4 pin molex, and the more recent ones replaced that with 2 screw (R2) terminals to accept 2 wires that are 16-18 AWG.   The 4 pin molex type board can be supplied with either the 4 pin molex connector or the SATA with a SATA to 4 pin molex adapter.  I had to buy a couple of those because I ran out of the 4 pin molex power connectors.

With the 2 screw in connector, there are several options: Molex, Sata, PCI-E, and CPU lines.  So long as you don't try to use the motherboard connector.

My Power supply is Fractal desing tesla R2 500W http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/power-supplies/tesla/tesla-r2-500w I also think that my problem is due to the power supply. Should this power supply work on hex16b2 Miners?

Also, you can try to plug in the device's USB cable to the router/computer only after cgminer has fully started.  That makes a difference for me.

Sometimes the power supply is not properly connected to your device.  If it is the 4 pin molar connector type, sometimes you can get it to start after unplugging the connector and reinserting it to make sure you have the plug firmly connected.  If it is the two screw wire connection type, then you have some extra work to do in order to make sure that you have a good electrical connection.  Use the proper gauge of wire to ensure a snug fit.  I use the power from the PCI-e power supply connector.  You must observe the pin-out diagrams of the PCI-e connector:

Ground is on the clip side of the connector, and +12 v is on the side without the clip.  The connection to the miner 2 pin screw terminal is red (+12 v) to the right terminal (the outer edge of the circuit board) and the black wire (ground) in the left screw terminal (pointing in the direction of the fan).

The tricky part for the power supply  when using the PCI-e connector is making a reliable connection that will not be tugged out inadvertently.  Something I learned by trial and error when I would come back and notice that the miner had lost power because the wires got loose and lost connection.

I have a BFL Jalapeno i wish to run with HEXC can anyone help me with that???

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also as a side not about the HEXC units, Make sure they run on there on rail of power.

I have 3 of these and used to run them from my power supply along the same rail and they would fail after about 10 hours, Then i split 2 of them on 1 rail and 1 on the other, They started to last about 12 hours without 1 failing, Then i finally made the effort to split them all onto one rail each.

They now run @ 16:1400mhz / 1060 mv and run smooth as a babies bum 24/7

Moral to the story Separate Rail Of Power For Each HEXC Unit U Have!

I got around to trying this on a different computer.  For the first time I connected all 6 miners at once and tried running this CGMINER.  Once again it failed to identify devices, although for the first time I did get it partially running.  It communicated with 2 out of 6 miners.  I was able to get about 51 GH/S, with only 2 devices recognized and running.  Then I tried disconnecting and reconnecting each USB plug individually while CGMINER was running and this seems to do the trick.   Have now finally gotten it to work with all miners running by starting with one device connected at CGMINER startup.  Then plug in each device separately, verifying as I go that each miner is getting up to speed.  Seems to work better than just jamming all the USB plugs in at once.

@jammertr

Can you please check in device manager how device is listed.

Mine is listed as "CDC RS-232 Emulation Demo"

After Zadig driver replacement driver version is 6.

I had no problem with zadig driver replacement.  Device manager lists the device properly, as in your capture.

I am new to cgminer and trying this out with one technobit HEX16A2 miner.  I have gotten up to the part of starting cgminer and getting the message that no device is detected.  I tried unplugging and restarting, but no luck.  I have opened the cgminer.conf file using Notepad++ as administrator and edited to "set_default_to_c" : true,   It is still not detecting the miner.

Cgminer for HEX16A on request, since the board barely pays for it's consumption.

Disclamer: This topic is only for Technobit Boards, for original cgminer support please visit: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/official-cgminer-mining-software-thread-for-linuxwinosxmipsarmr-pi-4110-28402

With the help of "farmdve" from the Bulgarian Bitcoin forum BitcoinBG.eu here it is, the windows build of cgminer supporting Technobit boards like HEX16A2, HEX16B/B2, HEX8A1 etc.

Step by Step guide:
Updated: 29.12.2014

1. Files to download:
Zadig: http://zadig.akeo.ie/downloads/zadig_2.1.0.exe
Cgminer: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/technobit/cgminer_technobit_win_0_4_1b.zip
Cgminer Dice Version - Latest: http://bitcoinbg.eu/tools/technobit/cgminer_technobit_win_0_4_1_DICE.zip

Code:
"set_default_to_c" : false,

change to
Code:
"set_default_to_c" : true,

Here we go Wink

This version is tested and runs on everything from Technobit except HEX16A, you can check my reviews of the boards for settings:
HEX16A2 (HEXc)
HEX16B (HEXb)
HEX16B2 BitFury2 (HEXb)
HEX8A1 260GH (HEX8)
HEX8A1 130GH (HEX8)
HEX4M 400GH (HEXM)
HEX4R - Spondoolies RokerBox
HEX16A4 - Avalon 4

Not tested with mixed boards.

Cgminer for !!! ONLY !!! HEX16A !!! ONLY !!!
