What is going on with this project, still alive?
yeah, the project is still receiving active development, we ported all of our new proof of work to 0.15 and are planning to distribute it to exchanges soon(1 to 2 weeks).
Just a tiny update - we're still hoping to shore up the 0.15 release (which will bring parity feature-wise with Litecoin 0.15 as well as a new hash algo we're calling Cloverhash) before the year's end. I've been behind various aborted projects such as our own mining pool, and am currently working on coinhive integration that pays out in chans.
Theres other nascent projects in the works, but as things slow down for the holidays (at least in the US), please bear with us if we fall behind on a few things. The project is still very much alive, and we'd still very much love to talk to you on our discord server.

Block explorer says there are 9 million + coins but coinbase says closer to 6 million.
That's because the 3 million premine is burned, it's pointed out in the first post.

Most of your completed roadmap that you claim is a lie. Andy still has chancoin you failed in your fork!!! You did not even implement a retarget algo in your fork wich is so fucking easy to do my mom could do it!!! so you failed again!!! You stole a coin from somone but failed to accomplish anything and you are riding on the coattails of a imageboard full of trolls who you ban from your safespace discord for being themselves! to preface:
the codebase we were left with after the fork was a barebones litecoin 0.8 fork, we had nothing to do with the original creation and couldn't have initially decided the difficulty retarget.
that being said, yes, it isn't hard to implement one -- in fact, we did, in the test branch -- but we aren't willing to deploy it immediately, the reasons being that we were:
1. waiting for exchanges to come back(they're back now, wow)
2. are now waiting on cloverhash to be finished(initial implementation is, tooling around it(pools) is not)
after the experience of the first fork, we want to deploy as many changes to the network as we can at once, as to avoid this mess ever happening again, so what we'd want to ideally deploy at once is:
* cloverhash PoW
* KGW retarget
* new client based on litecoin 0.10
* segwit?
now, if you were looking at the github, you would know two of these are very much coming to fruition, and slowly, but surely, will be deployed on the network.
i want to get these done as quickly as possible, but i'm not the greatest programmer of all time, so let me do my friggin' work and get some cool shit up.

Yeah that spike in difficulty was highly unusual - it shouldn't have caused such a long-ass delay in finding blocks really. Your site's charts actually illustrate this well. Not 100% sure why that spike was such a pain in the ass.

The project is intended as a way for imageboard users to get into crypto generally and crypto development specifically. Our roadmap shows some of our goals with respect to use cases.
In other news, we've got a CPUMiner implementation of our new algo finished, are working on a stratum implementation, and we're clarifying what updates outside of the new algo and KGW/DGW we want before we do a major update/hardfork.
We'll also be moving the announce thread soon to a new one controlled by a third-party 'chancoin' account - so that its not tied to any specific user.

I do not understand the project well, does this coin aim to focus on who surfs the internet? Can you miner AMD video card?
Somebody needs to get more hash on this coin.. no blockchain movement today.
