I believe that China will only improve the situation with the country's crypto currency. Regulation of ICO is a very useful solution. I think after the adoption of certain laws, the quality of projects will grow very much.
To give a filter or to choose the good team and not a scammer and the regulation seems to be a good way for that, but as far as i know that the regulation will give another negativity to the crypto because that will always be monitoring by the goverment or even pboc itself.

What they are banning is the following behavior:

  • Come up with an ICO name and possibly some random business problem
  • Copy/Paste whitepaper from another ICO, make few changes to make it look unique
  • Copy/Paste website from another ICO, make few changes to make it look unique
  • Copy/Paste few pictures of obscure people off the Internet (with or without their knowledge), make few changes to names job titles (madeup or real)
  • Hire marketing team for few $K to spam next great ICO on all social media and relevant forum avenues
  • Pay few dozen shills to visit aforementioned social sites to proclaim it's the next great thing since Bitcoin itself, perhaps even better!
  • Sitback and profit$$

Now maybe some ICOs will turn out to be less scammy than some others, but in my opinion just about all of them are scams. The only ones who may be even somewhat legit are the ones who limit their fundraising to reasonable levels, but those are far and few between and even some of those are probably scams just designed to look more legitimate.

This has little to do with cryptocurrencies other than the fact that all these ICOs have been using crypto as a side run around rules already in place for organizations to raise capital, but it had to be stopped sooner or later. I suspect in a few months we will be seeing a "Who's behind bars this week" type of thread going when some of these ICO organizers are (hopefully) brought to justice.

Hopefully this is an attempt to bring the crypto trade and ICOs within legal framework.. An outright ban is stupid especially when about 20% trade were from China.

Will this be the end of cryptocurrency

No - it's a great buying opportunity for everyone. Buy, hold and participate in the good ones!
How long they hold our bitcoin in our wallet? Sometimes we lose hope that China unbanned the ICO's, but we still believing to resolve that problems. For now I'm still holding my bitcoin or maybe sell the half of this to secure my investment in bitcoin and to assure that I can't gain lost.

How the fate of cryptocurrency in your opinion after china forbids cryptocurrency?

Will this be the end of cryptocurrency

Man your question is generalizing the whole crypto currency. You need to read the news again, China didn't ban crypto currency what they specifically banned are the ICO's. But soon they will let those ICO's operate again in their country after they have made a certain regulations for those companies that want to keep on operating ICO's.

If I think this is not the end of everything but a first test for us to navigate the world with patience. So do not be overly concerned about the constraints so we have to keep fighting harder to make money despite the current ico ban in China

They are very shrewd country. Thinking is simplified if it is interpreted that restrictions have been imposed on the outflow of capital from China. Therefore, this measure is temporary and it is thought that ICO according to Chinese rules will revive as soon as a mechanism to capital inflow into China is established.

China is so amazing at manipulating their currency. It is unbelievable how they do that. And now they are manipulating Bitcoin as well.

This is not new when we hear China, all we see now are all made in China like we've been invaded by these chinese people. And all things are possible with them like they're now working to have a centralized exchange so they can manipulate the market. And they're using now the dumps they've made to buy more btc so after this they will pump hard to make new and good profit.

IMO cryptocurrencies are the future. They allow to any person at planet Earth be an active part of economical society. ICO is the future too - it allows to attract decentralized funds very fast and convenient. They all could just evolutionize with time, but not die.

China is not exactly a 100% democratic country. In other words, the nature of the country is that all the people will have to comply with the regulations when the regulations are started. But most other countries are a little different. Regulations such as China can be regulated, but as regulations tighten, all investment ecosystems, including the ico, will escape to other countries, which can ultimately be disadvantageous to countries with severe regulations.
Rather, in contrast to China's regulations, other countries can take the opportunity to positively attract ico. Therefore, given the long-term growth of the ico ecosystem, this regulation will not necessarily look bad.

To the Chinese GOVERNMENT and all governments around the world POPCORN1 will lay some
laws for ICO crypto ..

Who ever launches an ICO those people who come up with the ICO produce a white paper a
ROAD MAP..

Now all you have to do by LAW so no one gets scammed is this..

The people holding the ICO only get paid half the money until the road map is complete ..
When they complete the road map only on completion they get the other half ..

Now if they don't complete the ROAD MAP they say their going to do then the other half goes back to the government and goes to HOSPITALS ..

So any country who holds an ICO if they fail to meet the terms of the ROAD MAP then they loose half the money ..
Plus can be done for fraud if road map not complete ..

Now why i say this because i can say i will make a rocket powered pair off boots with no intention of making them because i do not know how too..

So when people doing an ICO you will read the ROAD MAP and then decide if the project they talk about is worth putting your money into and the fact if they do not complete what they said they was going to do the government wins BUT most of all the people win anyways because the
money is going to HOSPITALS..

Plus people will wont make ROAD MAPS they know quite well they cannot do because they will get done for fraud and loose half the money they made..

And plus when doing an ICO if doing a big ICO for big money then a lawyer is needed to make sure your all above board because if your not then you will be sued ..

Thus the more ICO the more jobs for LAWYERS
The more jobs for EVERYONE..

China don't make that mistake by banning ICO just some simple laws needed to protect people..

Just think how much more money will flow in and out your country CHINA..

Goods getting bought all over the shop ..
Money will FLOW .. Grin

And yes China you would be the leader ..

Just think of WEIBO they must of had a white paper a road map..
Well what would of happened if it failed?..

NOTHING  Wink..
Because they done what they set out to do..
The only thing would of been no customers and that is in the lap of the gods if people like what you do..

So the same with ICO if they complete the ROAD MAP then that's all they can do it's up to the public to use it what ever they said they would do in their ICO ..

And just think if they fail You the GOVERNMENT will get the other half for your hospitals for free..
WIN WIN situation ..

The fact it helped the poor anyways ..
Why because if you can afford to buy CRYPTO then you wont be to angry it going back into your public services if the ICO was a scam..

And the best no false promises on ROAD MAPS..

I don't think you can stop crypto, but of course big news like China will move the numbers around.  Long term holders shouldn't be worried and should use times like this to put more fiat into crypto.  This type of movement is normal in highly speculative markets... the same happens in the stock market for fast growing companies with no profits.  The slightest news of missteps will make the stock tumble; the same is happening here.

China was engaged in streamlining the conduct of ICO and crypto currency in general, to exclude fraud in this area. The whole panic has risen due to a wrong translation of incoming information from China from Chinese to English. Since today the crypto currency has started a slow rise, the community seems to have figured out the fictitiousness of the incoming negative information and the crypto currency, I think it will now rise sharply.

This is not the end. Just a hard time for crypto world but we still can do ok without China. China gov su*k

That is right. Why the need to generalize the entire cryptocurrency invention when one f*ckin country is banning ICO? To hell with these chinese and their laws. Crypto after all was not even born in china. The crypto can very well function away from these people. The market is not solely dictated by them.
